Horrible service at the bar last night. While the bar was packed, the bartender seemed to be too busy to even acknowledge I was there, never mind asking me If I wanted a drink. I believe I waited around 10 minutes to be asked for a drink while everyone around me was taken care of multiple times. Horrible customer service! Maybe the bartender only looks out for his "regulars" or people he deems "important." As far as food - the pizza was decent but will never go there again based on my experience that I received last night. read more

I must say that the owner Jim Mccoy, of this so called 5 star eatery, has got to be the worst business owner alive as he lacks integrity, is cruel to his customers, unfair and gets involved with his employees family affairs, which I find rather creepy. He speaks out of both sides of his mouth, is a liar when it comes to parking and embellishes stories. Here I am, 4 months later, still hoping he will do the right thing and kindly redeem my $85 in gift cards. But nope he listened to the gossip of one of his teen employees and runs with it as though it's truth. In any event Mccoy shows no honor towards his guests, and it behooves me how he who was already paid money for the $85 in gift cards, has zero conscience to not do the right thing. In other words, he is a full blown thief! He should be ashamed of himself. Wonder how he sleeps at night. I pray karma gives him a double portion! read more

Ordered twice on grub hub. First time we got chicken cordon bleu was raw when we cut it open. Second time we got just seafood cream sauce instead of seafood bisque. We were missing a soup. French onion soup really wasn't the best. Will never go back. read more

Probably my new favorite restaurant in the Binghamton area. I got the top sirloin steak with onions and mushrooms, and my boyfriend got the stuffed greek tenderloin. We had to switch plates halfway through because we not only liked our own dish, but each other's just as much! Their staff and service was awesome too. Definitely a spot to check out :) read more

We went to McCoys for lunch yesterday. I called ahead and made a reservation. I was there a few weeks ago and it was great. This time it was beyond horrific. We waited one hour and 15 minutes before we received our lunch. It was three sandwiches, 2 waters and a coke..I did get to speak with the hostess and she just said that there were a few unexpected parties. The food was OK but we will not go back again anytime soon. I counted the number of people there present .. it was one large party in the back room and another table of about 12 businessman and 3-4tops. Most Cooks that work in a restaurant would expect probably 40 or 50 people for lunch. The waitress was apologetic but also said she couldn't do anything about it and we never blamed her we left her a good tip but it was inexcusable. Ohhh and the coup de Gras... I shared it was the birthday of one of the guests and could it be acknowledged???They sent out a plate reading happy birthday with a dollop of whip cream and a candle not even a slice of cake. Come on.. Our lunch with a tip with 3 was $72 and you can't afford a little piece of cake. Not good PR all the way around read more

My wife and I visited for an early Valentine's Day dinner, the food was excellent, so was the service. Our server, Jazmine, was absolutely phenomenal! She was very attentive and accommodating without being intrusive or overbearing. She definitely worked her butt off, we asked to pack up a lot of food (everything was delicious we just couldn't eat it all!) and she never even flinched! She was wonderful and we can't wait to go back as long as we can request Jazmine as our server! 100% recommend! Thank you for the wonderful time Jazmine!!! read more

Last night my husband and I went to McCoy's to celebrate our anniversary. Our reservation was for 6:15, scheduled at that time to coincide with an earlier appointment. At 5:15 we found we were done with that and decided to see if they could seat us earlier. The hostess couldn't have been more accommodating. Our servers were excellent and our meals were beyond compare. We both opted for bone-in filet mignon. They were cooked to perfection. As we were sharing dessert, caramel apple tart...delicious, Jim McCoy himself came through the restaurant and stopped at each table to chat with his customers. While it was a pricey experience, at McCoy's Chophouse you definitely get what you pay for. read more

An unassuming storefront belies the cozy interior setting. Old time New Yorker Magazine cartoons decorate the walls. Waiting staff is super warm and welcoming. Highly recommended to us we had high expectations. Sadly we were let down by the way overpriced and over cooked dishes. The octopus appetizer came with only two small slivers on a bed of linguini. The braised short ribs were tender but arrived cold and floating in (bottle?) sauce overwhelming the meat's flavor. The crab and lobster risotto was another let down. A minimally sized chewy lobster claw meat and over boiled rice were disappointing. High prices and low quality. Left a nice tip to make at least one person happy that night. read more

Ate here last night. Began the evening with cocktails followed with a bottle of wine. The waitress broke the cork, but management provided a new replacement bottle. For starters I has their French onion soup which was made with a touch of brandy. This was absolutely the best onion soup I have ever had. I ordered the prime rib (yes, they have prime rib every night). i ordered it very rare and it was perfect done and though very rare, still quite tender. Had a baked potato as a side... Seems silly to say, but the baked potato was perfectly baked. had carrot cake for desert...mint was moist and the icing was not overly sweet. generally I always have a complaint and all the more so the more expensive the meal. However, I have absolutely no complaints. This was by far one of of the best meals ever. Good service, nice ambience and excellent food. Highly recommended! read more

I stumbled upon this restaurant as an out of towner and I fell in love with the staff. This place is different and you can feel it immediately. It's not a surprise to learn there is very little turnover here and the owner genuinely cares for the employees. I had a wonderful experience during my first visit. On my second visit, Kristie recognized me from my previous visit and warmly welcomed me. This level of hospitality is hard to find and she/this restaurant strikes the perfect balance of upscale fancy and small town charm. Thank you for being more reasonable and enjoyable than your competition. I will stop in any time I'm within an hour's radius. I truly feel valued here. Kudos! read more

We were in Binghamton for an award ceremony a couple of months ago and had lunch at McCoy's before heading back to Ithaca. I called ahead to see if their Thursday prime rib special was available for lunch and we were told that it was. We went big and got the 28 ounce bone-in cut. Thing is, when it arrived at our table it was practically raw. What seems to have happened is that they took a raw piece of prime rib and cooked it in a pan or over a flame. Problem is, that is not the way to cook prime rib. We sent it back for further cooking but it was still unpleasant to eat when it came back to the table. I do not understand how anyone in the restaurant would allow this to happen. Prime rib is intended to be cooked one way and one way only -- roasted slowly in an oven. Cooking prime rib in a pan, on a flat top, or above or below a flame is NOT appropriate, especially in an establishment that calls itself a steakhouse. Moreover, because it was not roasted and barely cooked, the fat didn't render at all and half the prime rib was inedible chunks of fat. Otherwise, the meal was okay, but just okay. The beet salad was not presented in the artful way that I have seen in a different photo in another Yelp review. The cake we had was not great, even though it looked good and was made in-house -- the frosting was thick and pasty and the cake was quite firm. The bisque was pretty good. Oh, and they had no bread available. Even though we were clearly disappointed, our server didn't offer us a discount or anything. However, with that said, she was very friendly. It's just odd to me that the kitchen/management would allow the food to be that mediocre. They do one thing -- they're a steakhouse -- and they should ensure that everything is top quality. We'll go back for dinner sometime and see if it's any better. You know those places where so many things seem correct and yet they still don't seem to hit the mark? This is one of those places. Everyone working there should eat at Ruth's Chris or Smith & Wollensky or Gallagher's or Fleming's and see what a true American steakhouse is like, and then consider what can be done in Endicott to move a bit further toward that level. Nobody expects a NYC or Chicago level experience in Endicott, New York, but I think they need to tighten things up a little and refine things a bit more. read more

First time we went to this place, we were in love.. service was over the top superb.. Meal fantastic.. this time, not so much. Food was amazing as usual, but service was surprisingly bad. Our waiter was nice enough, until he got a big table next to us. From that point on we felt ignored. We watched him run back and forth to them.. bend over backwards.. but for us.. nothing even close. The little things that make it special.. chit chat, asking how it was. Checking on us.. nope. He came out once to tell us nonchalantly that our meal was delayed. We watched other tables he was serving come and go. Took over 2 hours for our meal. Waited almost 15 minutes for an already made dessert while we watched him come out and clean glasses for the big table! Watched other tables get service we didn't. It was our anniversary, which he was informed of. End of the dinner, after he stumbled thru our check, had to ask for a pen.. very awkward.. and we put our own leftovers in containers that he dropped off and left.. unlike all the other servers who do it for you.. he says without looking at us.. "oh yeah, happy birthday!" Um.. ANNIVERSARY! So disappointing. On our way out the hostess asked how it was.. I told her the truth. Next thing you know I have a mgr apologizing and bending over backwards to make it right!! I believe her name was Christy.. She was wonderful!! All that being said.. We will definitely be back. The place is outstanding. Just want the waiter, Andrew to remember that small tables are just as important as big ones!! read more

When you walk in the restaurant you get a super grand vibe to the place which is awesome to walk in to.The place is the perfect place for a birthday or celebration dinner which has some amazing food on the menu.They have a diverse types of steaks on the so you can take your pick and also they have some great pasta dishes which is what I got the a la vodka pasta which was amazing and tasted super homemade.Also they bring out bread to start which was so good and you could put it in oil or chil oil which was spicy and great. read more

Overpriced! Terrible experience! NOT worth the money. The owner is an arrogant bully! I ordered a dish w/lobster and took one bite and knew it was not good to eat. Just tasted off (to be fair the other dishes at the table were all fine). I asked the waiter to take it back. He did and took it off the bill. HOWEVER, the rest of the experience was sooooo not "fine" dining. The owner then walked to the table stood over me and stared at me without a word for ~30sec. No introduction, no hello, no words at all! It was CREEPY and over the top. Then he said "heard you didn't like the dish, I tasted it and it was perfect." Exact words. No questions, no interest in listening. I actually had to tell him to leave the table twice. He then stood a few feet away and stared me down for remainder of the meal. We dropped over $500 & felt bad for the employees. The owner needs a lesson in humility and manners Gordon Ramsey style! read more

Last evening was a complete disappointment, especially after having traveled from the DC region to enjoy an evening  with family. I would suggest Mr. McCoy check his ego at the door. First, there is a difference between using and executing a "famous recipe". Second, the first attempt of serving the filet was an overcooked inedible piece of meat. Only to return moments later with a complete rare piece of meat with gobs of a "blue cheese sauce." The chicken parmesan was overcooked and dry, the pasta was undercooked, and had very little sauce. I recommend he visit a Michael Voltaggio establishment, a  Ruth's Chris or even Morton's Steakhouse. We have never hesitated spending money on a quality dining experience, BUT this was an overpriced disaster. We have never been so offended as customers before. The ONLY saving grace of the evening was our absolutely wonderful server, Jasmine. Her attentiveness and hospitality far outshined that of Mr. McCoy. read more
