Quantity does not equal Quality. Went here with my husband who is a giant breakfast fanatic, since the place was always packed. Meh. An omelet the size of your torso doesn't mean it tastes good. It was very bland, and the meat was sub par. The kid behind us got the hugest burger I've ever seen, he seemed pretty happy about it. Food is bland but portions are still huge. My last 3 visits were progressively worse. 1st time was alright. Had a huge omelette. Service was good, coffee always stays full. 2nd trip in the last year was confusing. We sat in a little table in the back corner upstairs. Within 10 minutes a larger group sat at the table beside ours, cutting us off from the rest of the restaurant. Servers apparently forgot we were back there. We eventually were served burgers & fries that were pretty good. My third & last trip was for breakfast again, this time I had chicken fried steak with eggs cooked over easy. Our server was great, but the food was bland & the whites of my eggs were so clear & goopy that I couldn't eat them. This place is a Gresham Landmark, but it's just not how it used to be. read more

If you're looking for a lot of volume of breakfast food to shovel in, this is your place. The serving sizes are enormous, but it's nothing fancy and it's kind of bland. If ordering the chicken fried steak or the steak and eggs...you'll get a piece of meat that takes up a plate, but it's about 1/2" thick. The omelets are good, can't think of much you could actually finish in one sitting. The service is really quick and good, they are attentive refilling glasses etc. read more

Okay, so I was lured in by the promise of stellar chicken fried steak (CFS), and I was NOT disappointed! Fair warning: a half portion is easily enough food for two adults!! Great breading, not greasy, an it doesn't fall apart when you cut into it- someone knows what they're doing in the kitchen! Fast and friendly service, special requests accepted happily (what can I say, I like my eggs a little overdone). A pleasant experience, I would go back! Went here for the first time this morning. Great service, very friendly and attentive. Biscuits and gravy were delicious, the bacon was the best; thick and just the right amount of crispness. I would not recommend this place. We stopped by after having driven by it many times and was enticed by the multi-egg omelets. We go to brunch most every Saturday with a group of friends so like to try new places. I was hopeful this would be a good find. I was disappointed. The menu was varied with half portions available for most items. That tells you something - mainly, whatever you order, you're going to a get a lot of food. That was indeed the case. Prices were somewhat high, although if you're looking for QUANTITY as opposed to QUALITY - this may be your place. It was not mine. One of us ordered the chicken fried steak. He is southern so knows what good cfs is like. He said this was the worst he's ever had. I ordered a club sandwich. The ham and turkey was lunchmeat basically - not real cuts. It was large. The bread for the sandwich and the toast was low quality and tasted bad. The coffee was undrinkable. It had a chemical taste. I tried doctoring it with cream and sugar but it didn't make any difference. Others around us seemed to think the food was good. I really WANTED to like it but truthfully, it was some of the worst food I've had in the local area. We won't be back. read more

I have never in my life been treated so badly at a restaurant. My bill was higher than it should be and I explained I had only ordered three things. The girl working at the front said, No you ordered four. I kindly explained what I had ordered. She blatantly argued with me, said You need to make sure I can hear you next time, told me how I needed to order and how I needed to speak over the phone next time. Then she refused to give my bank card back and said, Can you wait! Mind you she was holding my bank card and the receipt in her hand and just standing there. Once home we called to speak to the owner. The owner then argued with us and said that was not her cashier and she wouldn't do that. And then said to my husband, maybe your pregnant wife is just hormonal!!! We are completely flabbergasted at the AWEFUL customer service, the commentary and what was said about me being pregnant. After six years of going here we will never go back!!! read more

I had heard about this place on The Food Channel and wanted to go. Finally went about a week ago and it was everything it was cracked up to be! The portions were MASSIVE and delicious! We had a 5 year old with us and he ate EVERYTHING! We ate there twice and I plan on going back the next time we're in Portland. read more

A very nice little breakfast place in downtown Gresham. Hey have big portions but not all the offerings are for giants. The hash browns are good, the variety of dishes is adequate. It doesn't overwhelm you, or leave you thinking this is it? The service is really excellent very friendly and attentive. The biscuits and gravy are really good here. Either this place or Elmers but they are both tied for the BEST breakfast place in Gresham. They have a 12 egg omlette definetly worth trying it is giant. But they have delicious pancakes n waffles they never go wrong with the bacon. But the best part of this place is that it is so homey. read more

Food & service top notch. Very community involved owners they regularly support the Sandy High football team even though their own kids have graduated. The $ is pretty spendy, the portions are however huge. Chicken fried steak is the best in all the land. I don't go as often as I would like because taking the family is a bit spendy but I still love and support this family owned business. read more

I've eaten here quite a few times. I took my father recently after boasting about the portions. I always get an omelette of some sort, which is great. My father ordered the pork chop breakfast, oh my what a dried up piece of leather, he had to tear it apart by hand. Still trying to convince him to go back for the omelettes. read more

This place is as old as dirt and a breakfast staple in Gresham. If you like your portions large, this is the place. Breakfast is their thing, but there are good lunch selections too. Service is good. Only drawbacks are twofold 1) the place needs to sink some serious money into updating the interior and 2) not open for dinner. read more

I love this place! It does get pretty busy on the weekends, but it's worth the wait. We always get great service and food here. The omelettes are crazy big (6 eggs for the 1/2 order) and they are always full of plenty of fixings. They have some of the best French toast around, if not the best.
