Our family was very excited to try this place. The pictures looked great and colorful. Much to our disappointment, the tacos came in a do it yourself format. We ordered 6 tacos and they gave us enough topping for one. We ordered the chicken wings which were good but wrong flavor. The worst part was we were told 15 minutes but we got there when our order was supposed to be ready, and waited another 20 minutes. I would go someplace that cares more about customers. Also the price I was told Over the phone was different from the price on the receipt. Go for the margaritas! They are amazing! Service is very good, as well, though our server didn't check on us until after we were done eating. Tacos are well portioned and more than a few bites, with very reasonable prices. I was disappointed by the sweet potato/black bean taco because the beans were hard enough to break a tooth on. The tortillas were also crispy and chewy--didnt seem overly fresh. The pork belly taco was very tasty, however, and the pork belly wasnt overly fatty and well-cooked. I'm gonna preface this with the fact that I'm from San Diego, and eat a lot of tacos made by people who actually live in Mexico. So I'm probably bias, but these are some of the worst tacos I've had. The meat was so salty I couldn't really taste anything else. So while the tacos are a decent size for here, apparently, I can get a much more flavorful taco back home for the same size but half price. We got carne, carnitas, and pollo tacos, and each one was just....salty. The queso was good, but the cilantro lime sour cream tasted like tzatziki sauce which didn't go well with the salty meat. The salsa was okay, but they were either bland or really spicy but without actual flavor. So, not a place I would come back to. Stopped for tacos a few days ago. Hubs and I shared an order of wings, bbq chicken quesadilla, chips and salsa with a side of guacamole. Hubs had the chili shrimp taco as well. The guacamole was pretty darn good. Salsa was good too. I enjoyed the quesadilla but hubs wasn't a fan. There was a lot of grease in it. See picture. They accidentally made us a kale taco as well which was ok but a little bland. Now the wings....I specifically asked for extra crispy. To me there's nothing worse than biting into slimy, soft wing fat. But as you can see in my picture, this was not the case. When we pointed the pink, bloody wing out we were told it's normal to look like that. No, it's not. Thankfully it was the second to last wing so not much loss there. We really did want to love this place, but it's difficult to do when there's all this hype, some of the staff has a superior attitude and the food is below expectations. We love it here! The food is delicious, the portion sizes are great & they have lots of gluten-free options - even the breaded wings! we often order pick up from here when we have no time to cook. Everything is usually ready within 15-20 minutes! We've only eaten at the restaurant once but we had great service. Our server was new but she was super helpful & knowledgeable as we asked many questions! Unfortunately the few gentlemen we've dealt with have been unpleasant, though it hasn't kept us permanently away. What prompted me to write this review was our most recent experience - as I write this at the bar while waiting for my food. We ordered for pickup & when we arrived they had forgotten something on our order. A tall gentleman with a long blonde ponytail (I didn't catch his name) was helping us & he approached the situation appropriately & with ease. Though we were a little frustrated we had to wait, he made it right before we had a chance to be upset. Highly recommend this spot for a quick taco fix. True confessions: I don't even like tacos and generally avoid them like the plague. I hate the way they fall apart. I don't like food I have to work so hard for. But these are the best damn tacos I've ever had. I am a convert - but only here! The tortillas are made out of some magic and mojo, because they stay whole through the entire taco eating process. Their fillings are delectable and unique. Kale usually ruins everything (let's be honest...) but their kale taco is divine. My husband is crazy for their pork. I also adore their prickly pear taco. Who'd a thunk? Also they have nice patio seating in East Boulder and it's kind of refreshing to be on a patio without all the street noise. They have excellent beverages too - adult and otherwise. After that beautiful hike, we found this place for food. We had the grilled sweet pepper appetizer which was out of this world! The chips queso salsa and guacamole were all wonderful as well I had chicken thigh tacos and pork belly tacos. My girl had lightening, steak, and shrimp tacos. Dessert smore tacos. Ok, so I had just hiked 8 miles, so maybe that's why these were amazing. So instead of writing this review directly after our first time here, I waited. In the 7 days I was here we had their tacos 5 times!!!!!!! And it was the best EVERYTIME!!!!! Last day here today. I bought tacos for all my co-workers for lunch. And had leftovers for dinner. I told my roommate that I went to a taco place and had the best wings I've ever had in my life and she thought it was strange that a taco place had the best wings, but I'm telling you: best wings ever! I'm talking about the dry rub. Crispy. Flavorful - both sweet and spicy. Tender chicken inside. I'm slightly obsessed. She tried them and now it's an obsession for both of us. They DELIVER TO OUR HOME. They're not the same delivered since they're not as crispy, but they're still delicious. Tucked into the corner of a strip mall, this place truly surprised us. My group and I arrived around 4pm on a Thursday and they were already slammed with other happy hour participants and I can see why! Their margs are definitely popular. I'll be honest, I'm a bit of a marg snob, so I don't love that they put OJ in the margs, but I'm more satisfied with that mistake than sour mix! Plus, for the happy hour price, I'll get over it. ;) They were pretty good and more importantly, potent. We ordered their happy hour salsa (not so good.. Very fibrous?) and queso (very good, but wish it was little larger, even for happy hour, it's a bit small). I also had their green chili taco on happy hour and then their pork verde that was up as a special. I didn't love that the pork verde came with tortilla chips/strips in it and wish that had been made a little more clear in the description (it just said "crunchy bits") but, the pork was good. We also ordered the chicken wings, dry rub, which were very interesting. Not bad, pretty good actually, just totally different than we expected. Everything came out so fast it actually made me wonder if it was fresh, but it tasted great to me so I assume it was. I really enjoyed the green chili taco and would definitely get that again. The salsas and hot sauces all really range in flavor, but they aren't all well balanced (way too smokey on one, or too sweet on another, etc) or there is a texture thing (some had strings of fiber in it, I assume from peppers?). I qualify this as a "Boulder" taco joint. Very white washed, and Mexican food shouldn't be like that. First off, we sat down for about 3 minutes before getting our menus, we had to ask for them and there were only 2 tables there before us. After receiving our menus it took about 10 mins to place our order which we had to flag down the waitress to do so, it doesn't help that we were at the bar either. My girlfriend ordered chimichurri which lacked a bunch of the main ingredients/flavor to consider it, chimichurri. I ordered al pastor and it tasted like cinnamon and oil, not one hint of pineapple.. but it did have good flavor. The guacamole lacked salt, lime and cilantro and had huge chunks of tomato in it. The quaso cheese dip, lol, was literally a velveeta cheeseblock with added ingredients(I watched the chef pull them out). That stuff there is not even cheese but packaged bull crap. Scratch made quaso is super inexpensive and easy to make.. Pricing is ridiculous but it makes sense since it's in Boulder. I can go to Aurora or Sanchos down the road and pay $2 for a 3-4oz taco instead of $6 here for a 6oz taco. Overall I would not come back or recommend it. I saw it had great reviews on Yelp but they did not live up to the hype. Interior is nice though, I will give the owner that. read more

McDevitt Taco Supply catered our wedding on 9/9/17 in Grand Lake, CO. We knew we wanted McDevitts to cater our wedding after eating their tacos every night after yoga at Sanitas Brewery. From the first email to our wedding night and beyond, our experience with McDevitts has been wonderful. Jon worked with us in the months leading up to figure out our menu. Our parents, who love tacos but weren't sure it was "right for a wedding, were won over by the great taste of the food and knew our guests would love it. The catering team that came up to the wedding was an awesome group. Guests commented how friendly they all were. The food at the wedding was amazing. Two months later and people are still talking about it. We had appetizers during a cocktail hour and then tacos/ chips/ sides for dinner. Everyone had more than enough to eat. When I mentioned to the McDevitts guys that I loved the jalapeno poppers during cocktail hour, they went back to the kitchen and brought out more. Any food left over was packed up for us to take home. They even included instructions on how to make super tasty breakfast tacos. After the wedding, they checked in to ensure that everything went well. My mom joked that we should have another wedding so we can have McDevitts cater again. Best QUESO in Boulder!!! I work nearby and frequent McDevitt's happy hour. Their queso is a MUST and they have plenty of other food and drink options from which to choose. I love their Kale Yeah taco and add sweet potato for an extra special tasty variation. Their regular menu has another fave - roasted peppers! They come with a little goat cheese and tasty toppings. The chips were amazing- crisp and very fresh and lightly seasoned. I ordered the chicken and kale tacos. I found the chicken to be a bit too peppery for my taste. I tend not be a big black pepper fan. There were three types of hot sauce to add and my favorite was the pineapple habanero. A bit sweet and not too much heat.
