It was fun showing my kids the Christmas decorations and explaining to them why we have them in our home. They were finally able to put two and two together of why I put up nutcrackers, smokers, and Christmas carousels as holiday decorations in our house. Now, you might be thinking that I missed out on the most important part - cookies and chocolate (its right in the name). We did sample each cookie and their homemade chocolate covered marzipan. Each selection was super tasty and you could tell they were baked fresh and with love (and real butter). They took my back to some of the cookies my German grandma used to make during Christmas time - pure nostalgia trip. We even picked some cookies up to bring back to my parents so that they could remember by grandmothers cookies as well. Nice to have ways to remind us of people who have moved on.
