The people were friendly. That's it. That's the whole win column for this visit. The coffee tasted like someone described coffee to the machine secondhand. Warm-ish water with the memory of a bean, served with the confidence of a place that knows you have nowhere else to go at this exit. I've had more aggressive flavor from a gas station cup that's been sitting since the morning rush. The burritos were cold in the middle. Not "we made these fresh and they need a minute" cold -- microwave-didn't-finish-the-job cold. And listen, I need to be clear here: this isn't me complaining about soggy eggs or whatever. Cold sausage is an actual situation. Undercooked pork is how you spend two days renegotiating your relationship with your bathroom. I added the urgent care joke in my head before I even finished chewing. I come back here every year or so because I keep thinking maybe this time it'll taste like being eight years old on a road trip with no responsibilities. It never does. I had a very concerning experience at this McDonald's (Washington Rd & Boy Scout Rd in Augusta). After waiting over 20 minutes in the drive-thru, we received incorrect items right off the bat. My son ordered a chocolate milkshake, and we were given a vanilla shake and told "there's chocolate syrup in it," instead of correcting the mistake. Unfortunately, the bigger issue was the food safety concern. I ordered snack wraps and began eating one on the way home. Shortly after, I noticed something was very off with the texture. When I checked under light, it appeared the chicken was undercooked. I had already eaten most of one wrap before realizing there was an issue and immediately stopped eating. This is extremely concerning, as undercooked chicken poses a real health risk. I contacted the store and was offered a refund and a free meal, but that does not address the seriousness of serving potentially unsafe food. This experience was unacceptable. I strongly encourage others to check their food carefully before eating. Management needs to take food preparation and quality control much more seriously at this location. read more

I waited for 15 to 20 minutes for a double cheese burger and a large fry without salt. The burger was dried out and the fries were hot, but you could break them in half. I'm not talking about one or two, but the entire order. I guess that unlike Burger King, they do get upset with special orders. Tried getting someone's attention by saying "Hello" heard the mice click on then off. Car with black man pulls up at outer lane and his order is placed immediately. Seriously !!! Watched 20 cars drive away from this business Thursday the 27th around 4:15 in the morning because there's approximately at least three or four workers inside that didn't want to do their job. After watching several people come in after us and get their orders we inquired about our order. The manger was extremely rude and yelled that they were busy. The only people (which was about 3) that were not getting their orders or having to inquire about them were white. Unfortunately, if you are white I would not recommend going to this location. Good morning first of all, let me status this is not about everyone that works at the store but the majority of them have horrible service and don't know how to communicate. And that's the truth so this morning I ordered a big breakfast with a mc griddle meal, large and a sweet tea, through DoorDash. he had to wait 30 minutes with no communication. Then I proceed to tell him he may need to go inside because they will pull you up and forget about you. They're known for doing that obviously all the time so he goes inside and still have to wait 10 more minutes with no communication then he leaves and tell me he's sorry they are disrespectful and rude so he left from getting my order. They had to reschedule another DoorDash order so I canceled it that don't make any sense. They have bad service up at the restaurant. I'm disgusted because I was hungry. read more

I've visited this McDonald's location 6 different times: 2 breakfast, 2 lunch and 2 dinner. This location is one of the SLOWEST quick-service restaurants in Augusta! The drive-thru literally crawls toward the speaker. Once you place your order, the average wait to pick it up is between 5 - 10 minutes. Even when I order ahead on the app, I still wait for close to 10 minutes for it to be delivered after I check-in on the app. I've learned to check everything I order here because the likelihood that they will give me wrong items is quite high, especially at breakfast. During one visit, I ordered a sausage biscuit and received an Egg McMuffin. Another time I ordered hash browns -- I received them, but only the edges were cooked -- the center of the hash browns were literally RAW! The crew's customer service skills vary wildly. The morning shift people seem to be the worst: I've been yelled at for ordering too slowly or two fast; I've been scolded for ordering when they are short-staffed (as though that's MY problem). If I point out their error such as giving me an Egg McMuffin instead of a sausage biscuit, they act offended and will stand at the delivery window openly discussing whether or not I should be served. The lunch and dinner crews seem better. I've never had order accuracy issues with those people. They, unfortunately, are just as slow as the breakfast crew. I love McDonald's but although this location is closest to my house, I will drive way out of the way to get a better customer experience at a different location. Unreliable service for a 24-hour location, sometimes you're lucky to get acknowledge while waiting at the drive-thru speaker boxes. When you submit complaint with the customer service number, you never get a true response from anyone, just the generic email that acknowledges your contact. I've tried 3 times over the last 3 weeks, to place/pickup an order on Wednesday mornings at roughly 5:20-5:25am, I can't even get someone to respond to the speaker box in the drive-thru. This location is improperly flying an American flag. The flag is in between half-staff and full-staff height. I spoke with managers about the issue, in person, on March 30th and April 1st. They said they would fix the problem. It hasn't been fixed. It is now April 2nd. I first noticed the issue on March 27th. Update 1: The President's half-staff order ended at sunset on April 6th. I drove by the location after sunset on the 6th, and the flag was at full-staff. Good on you McDonalds. Hope you get the half-staff positioning correct after the next order... Update 2: The flag position is wrong again! The President's new half-staff order went into effect on April 16th. It's now April 17th and this McDonalds location's flag is currently at full-staff. I stopped in because I wanted something quick! My daughter was hungry and I had business on this side of town. I ordered a Sausage egg mcmuffin with 2 egg whites on top and a kids meal. This McDonalds never ceases to amaze me. Periodically I hit the drive-thru for a quick snack. Each visit is just like the last. When I pull up to the speaker I am always swiftly greeted and can hear the smile in the employees voice. Upon arrival to the first window, the much expected warm smiling faces are always there. The second window always provides the same quality gracious service along with hot, fresh food. I love the cohesive spin that this McDonalds has placed on a typical fast food spot. Live nearby and this has been my "go to" McDonald's for 20 years. Used to be a fast and friendly place where the staff greeted you, got your order correct, and got you on your way quickly. Things went downhill during COVID which was understandable but have gotten much worse over the past year. The staff are surly, do not wish you Good Morning, tell you to have a nice day, or anything else. If you offer them a good morning or thank them, you are lucky to receive a grunt in return. The drive thru is incredibly slow and they frequently get your order wrong. The final straw was being asked to pull up and wait for my order only to see at least 10 cars behind me get big bags of food while I waited for my simple order of an egg mcmuffin and coffee. When I finally got it, the person did apologize and attempted to call over the manager whose response was "I can't do nothing about that." Placed a curbside pick up order in the parking lot. The drive thru was empty but i wanted to checkout deals on the app. But my order was placed within 3 mins. I Watched the drive thru fill up and clear multiple times before getting my order 30 mins later. There were periods when no cars were in line and mind you the dining room was closed due to covid. The Store manager Tina said "All I can do is apologize because I just got here an started working on your order as soon as I did." But all of my food was dry, cold and hard as bricks...clearly it was just sitting or poorly prepared. She insisted the fries were just dropped but my daughter literally ate one and started choking. The ice in the drinks were melted and so our drinks basically turned to dieted versions. The manager blew off my complaints by lying despite knowing they did us dirty. Since she claimed to have just got there I offered to show her the time that my order was placed on an online receipt but she declined. Nor did they have a hard copy to give me with their contact info. She had the sorry but oh well attitude. She was reluctant but eventually agreed to give me another manager named Taniasha's number and advised me to call tomorrow. At first she said she could not give out her managers names but i wanted to hold her accountable for giving me false info. I know the difference between a crew leader and a store manager. She said she told Taniasha that I would be calling...but how if Taniasha wasn't there nor did she have my contact info? I'm not going to call them. I wish I remembered the name of the employee who helped me at this McDonalds so I could write a letter to the corporate office. I do not expect superior service at McD's usually and this does not really bother me as long as I am paid attention to. I am returning to this bookmark after a while and just wanted to give positive feedback as I remember stopping here after a long weekend in Charleston for Memorial Day. Not feeling well as I had been indulging myself for several days at this point, I was feeling anxious and desperately needed a snack. The woman who helped me was attentive, friendly and sincere and it made me feel better. The food was hot and on point as is almost always the case at McDonalds. Left there just now and there was a long line so I went inside to get to go.There was only 1 person in front of me And it took 20 minutes to receive my food. It took them about 7 minutes to tell me that the Dr Pepper wasn't working after I got my food. And almost no one was wearing masks and a lot of workers not wearing gloves.
