Visited this location coming in town and the service and food was terrible. We waited 15 minutes for what should've been a Quarter Pounder with light pickles and it was light onions? Three cars parked next to us got their food before us. The drinks were awful no carbonation at all. In these times you really should make an effort to stay open. I never thought I'd find myself yelping a McDonald's but here I am because the experience was just that awful. The food is always the same-- a messy ass egg mcmuffin you typically get at every other McDonald's and it still hits the spot...where the cheese is half falling off and the other half of the sandwich is barely intact. Over-exaggerating, I know...but IFYKYK. HOWEVER....I'm not mad about the food. The girl that took our order...lmfao...LEGIT HATES HER LIFE. This morning I decided to stop at McDonald's and treat myself to two hash browns and a large coke. Now mind you on tv they have been advertising drinks are $1.00. Imagine my shock when I got to the window and the young lady told me it was $8.00 and some change. I said aren't drinks $1.00 and she told me not at that location. This is ridiculous! I've stopped in here on my way back from skiing a couple times. It's always sort of a wreck in here but this last weekend was the absolute worst. FOOD: This is the same McDonald's food you normally get, but everything is discombobulated and done incorrectly. I overheard several people complaining about incorrect orders. Lo and behold, my order was incorrect too. My daughter asked for a "plain" cheeseburger (just meat, cheese, and bread). The cheeseburger was labeled with a receipt sticker that said "plain" yet all the fixings (ketchup, mustard, pickles, and onions) were on the burger. SERVICE: Isn't fast food supposed to be fast? Between the lack of enough staff, the workers mixing up all the orders, and the general carelessness this place is pretty much the pits. Please don't dump my fries in the bag upside down so when I try to pick them up none are left in the holder. Please put all the ingredients in between the bun so things aren't hanging out and falling out. Every other McD's can do it, why can't you? CLEANLINESS: The bathrooms here are gawd-awful. Horrible experience!! Ordered two Happy meals with cheese burgers plain only cheese/well done fries. Seems simple right? well got home and the burgers were not plain and the fries were cold...far from well done. OK! it's wrong!Drove all the way back to exchange them for plain cheese burgers and new "COOKED" fries..we were met with total attitude from employees. Big Bear is a tourist town. If you don't like tourist then close the door or quit. Employees should not go on Big Bear facebook. This restaurant is an example of the worst customer experience ever. My husband ordered two sausage McMuffin's with egg which should be four dollars. I had him use my app for two Egg McMuffin's for four dollars. The cashier tried to charge him $41. There's a huge problem there. Because the guy didn't even realize that he was making a mistake. Holy smokes! Then my husband proceeded to watch as car after car went by and order after order went by and his order never showed. He finally got hold of a manager who claimed that they were having to make the "round eggs". Seriously? McDonald's trademark is the sausage McMuffin and the egg McMuffin! On yelp it says they're not open, but yes they are. We stopped here on our way back from the Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain. It looks like they're still in the middle of remodeling and progress is good. They have two self order stations inside which were pretty cool, it was my first time using one. This is ski season. The town is way overcrowded. I'm a local and I often come here. With both drive through lanes slammed they still get you through in a timely manner. The food is hot and fresh. I simply ordered an ice Mocha and 2 Muffins via drive through, the first staff took my order told me pick up on window1, the second staff on window1 gave me the wrong food when I ready to pick up, she told me to wait on window2 if I ordered Mocha. I've lived here for the past 19 1/2 years and ever since this McDonald's was SOLD, the new owner(s) decided to get greedy and not follow any of the special offers that the other McDonald's give you. Their service is slow and they are often rude to the customers. They claim that their prices are reflective of a resort town. I no longer will eat here especially since they can't even get their orders correct. I would advise others to try Carl's Jr as they give discounts and you CAN use coupons just like our Jack-in-the Box. read more
