Horrible management I was talking to a friend and my boyfriend outside( in the wrong spot I guess) getting ready to go in and eat. 2 workers came out to tell us we can't loiter I told him I was going on to order. My boyfriend didn't move her really thought they were joking. So I go inside and the pregnant manager starts yelling at me calling me nasty and she is refusing to serve me because I was rude to her workers. Mind u all I said was i was here to eat! Seriously what is wrong with the customer service at this location...It is absolutely horrible. I was waiting at the drive-up speaker for at least 10-15 minutes after being told they were helping another customer, I never heard another word. I finally pulled forward and just left. This is not the first time I have had an issue at this location but you can be guaranteed that it will be my last. After a call ahead for reservations, I was pleasantly surprised that there was no wait. It was as if I had the place to myself. The menu was so full of delicious goodies, I didn't even know what to decide on. I ended up ordering a delectable fillet o' fish. The server paired my selection with a fine choice of Dr Pepper, and a side of scrumptious french fries. The Chef seemed to know me, and put just the right amount of the finest of tartar sauces on my perfectly crusted atlantic cod. He smiled and spoke to me in his native tongue. I haven't been in a McDonald's in almost two years. I'm staying across the street at a hotel here and just felt like a couple of cheeseburgers. I read the reviews on this place and I'm like c'mon I just want a couple of burgers simple right? Ordered two cheeseburgers medium fries and large drink and begin my wait noticing quite a few people ahead me waiting as well. Now I could be wrong but I could swear they were out of ketchup packets. I thought I heard an employee say that. Two times while I'm waiting an employee said we are just waiting on fries folks sorry for the delay. Now this guy seemed to be the only one with any customer service skills. Everyone else looks terrified to speak to a customer. So I continue to wait and now there are people being served 4 to 6 numbers after mine. Yup waiting on those fries I guess my burgers got passed up. I'd pass this place up. What they need is a complete over haul. They've redefined fast food to slow as hell or no food depending on what they run out of. read more

This must be independently owned because I would hope that if McDonalds was overseeing this franchise they wouldn't allow the extremely rude and incompetent behavior from its employees. They have argued with us on more than one occasion about the mistake they made on the order, which they do about half the time. Last night we drove thru for a meal for our daughter. We were immediately asked if we could wait, 2 minutes later Erica came back in and asked us if we would continue to wait....there was one car in front of us...my husband said, uh, no, we've waited long enough, Erica said she was short handed, my husband said, that's not really my problem in which smart mouthed Erica said, well it's not my problem that you're late (for what!?) anyway her manager got an earful at the window. If this had been the first time this McDs had been a problem we probably would have let it slide but when we've been there and asked for a plain sandwich and it comes out with only cheese on it (and this sandwich doesn't even normally come with cheese) and the kid at the window is trying to argue that plain sandwiched always come with cheese...Ha, so I ask him if he thinks this is the first time I've ordered that? To arguing with me about what flavor syrup goes on which frappe and other incidents.....uh, no, were sick of it. Aside from the incompetent employees, the food is horrible, cold big macs, hard fish patties with a mound of tartar sauce spilling out the sides and cheese hanging out the side of the bun etc. This place is horrible and if it had any other McD completion in town it would surely be closed. This McDonald's reminds me of eating cold hard shit that came out of the microwave but never got cooked well enough. I only eat healthy food so I go to McDonald's regularly and yet again I'm disappointed by the rude staff and shitty food. Ordering the chicken McNuggets has always been a favorite, but whenever I order the 20 piece McNuggets I always get cut short. And then when I go over to get the 15 pieces of McNuggets that were left out I get rude comments about my weight like "well it doesn't look like you need to extra McNuggets" and "you're the reason people in Africa are starving eating enough for 50 children everyday". since i snowboard at least 20 days most seasons, i feel it's my duty to make a list of places to eat to and from the commute up to and down from the tahoe slopes. now, i don't typically stop in cameron park to or from tahoe; but i happened to stop there on my commute up to south lake last weekend, mostly to use the bathroom. i was happy that they were open till 1100p as the sign on the door says. i was trying to use the bathroom at the vacaville mcdonald's a while back on a homebound commute, but they were closed with only the drive.thru open. i hate when restaurants do that and was glad that this one was open at least until they said they would be. when i entered, the employees were sitting around at a table having a break and eating and stuff; but they got up and scrambled to the counter to help me when they saw me walk in. the cashier that helped me was one of those guys who are lanky and hyper, almost spastic. i mean, he was a cool guy and all, but i noticed that some people have this particular set of traits, even some of my friends. there seems to be a gene that links these behavioural and physical traits: lanky and spastic! well, because this dude was like that, he seemed very eager to help. like, i knew i was there late, so i wasn't sure if they had decaf coffee and asked. this dude jumped and rushed over to the other side of the kitchen to check and came back. yes, they had decaf. i got a small decaf for my wife and me. then, i figured she'd want something to go with the coffee, so i asked if they had pies, since they were supposed to be 2 for a dollar. he again jumped and ran, this time, to to back of the kitchen to check. yes, they had exactly 2 left (which may be related to marti l.'s comment that they only had 1 pie left). well, i took their last 2 pies (not knowing which flavours they'd be) and the decaf coffee. i was so happy to get all this for just two dollars and forty.something cents. that's nice, cheaper than $tarbucks! well, the decaf coffee was just so.so. at least it wasn't sour, but it wasn't really hot. i think it managed not to be sour because they didn't try to keep it warm. isn't that when you try to keep coffee warm for a long time, it turns sour? the apple pies were good. yeah, they were _apple_. i guess that's the default at mcdonald's. they were the newer baked kind, not the fried kind you get in hawai'i. anyway, i'll give this mcdonald's three stars based upon _my_ experience there. read more

I simply ordered a vanilla iced coffee from the drive thru and it took almost 10 minutes for them to make it. Then as I am sipping my drink on the way home I notice something very odd about the coffee. It feels like there's something in it that shouldn't be in there, and sure enough, I take the lid off and move the ice around a bit and find a plastic bag in there! it must've been the bag holding the cups but I am appalled that the staff did not even notice the bag or care enough to take it out. never going here again read more

This McDonald's is absolutely the most garbage place in Cameron park they consistently get orders wrong the staff is rude as can possibly be and they choose to watch the super bowl on their phones instead of help paying customers that they have wronged. Came to the location and placed a large order when I received the order and got home I realized 5 of the burgers were missing from the bag. I called in to let them know of the issue and they assured me they would make a note of it for the next time I returned. Tried to go back today and have them correct the issue and they proceeded to tell me that never happened and they were not responsible and i was confused about which location I went to. I have had nothing but horrible experiences with this dump of an establishment and recommend nobody spend their money here simply because the workers are trash and the service and food is on par with regurgitated dog food. If I could rate this establishment lower than 0 stars I would save yourself the hassle and eat elsewhere. read more

This place is horrible. It was never that great before and it has just gotten worse every time I go in there. I work in the same parking lot and my wife is an addict for McD's so I get stuck going there to often. The service is terrible almost every time. The place is filthy. The park lot is full of trash and the inside tables never get cleaned. Your shoes stick to the floor too. I keep banning the place and my wife finally has too. She goes to the one in El Dorado Hills now. There service isn't a whole lot better but at least it is clean. I blame a lack of management and corporate McDonalds for not caring enough. This is the worst McD's ever! They ALWAYS leave something out of my order. The manager Kristen is very rude and tries to yell and over talk me every time i have called to complain. Im not one to complain but when you screw up an order each and every time, well, thats just too much! We just got home with our drive through order. Where do I start?!? The young man at window was not very pleasant. He never asked what sizes we wanted, so we got a mix match. He was on his cell phone texting or FB while the window was open. He said they were waiting in "fresh fries". Fries are not fresh. I had ordered a chicken sandwich NO TOMATO, I got tomato. My boyfriend opened his "Grand Mac"... overloaded with pickles, like they dropped a handful on it. The meat on it was like from a kids hamburger. Really disappointed. This location sucks and I have no idea how they do so much business. Anytime I go through the drive through I can guarantee you that at least one thing will be wrong with my order every single time and half the time the shake machine won't be working. Tonite my son was given a Barbie bracelet as the boy toy in his happy meal, I ordered a buttermilk crispy chicken sandwich but got a grilled chicken in a crispy chicken box, and they still have the shamrock shake ad on the drive through board despite it being March 29th and shamrock shakes being long gone. This place screws up my order more often than not. There have been several times I have ordered two breakfast combos and one hash brown is missing. Once they forgot an orange juice and tried to charge me for it when I brought it to their attention. I had already paid for two combos which include two drinks... Boo. This place is a joke. Went there tonight to get my kids a chocolate shake. Stood in line for 10 minutes, not once did an employee acknowledge me. There were 5 of them behind the counter pretending to be busy. Three of them walked out side. After 10 minutes I had enough and left. The three that went outside were standing around smoking and talking on their phones. This is not the first problem I have had here. On a visit before the kids working there were shouting and rough housing and using foul language while they prepared the food. This is the last visit I will ever pay to this place. I advise you to stay away. Go to the Carls Jr across the street if you want a fast burger. read more

This time I went through the drive-thru with a simple order - two black coffees - during breakfast time. Though the customer facing staff seem like good people, this is by far the worst McDonald's I've been to. They are consistently understaffed. The management is rude and uncaring. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but this store has been horrible for years. We keep giving it another try, but is never a good experience. As others have stated. Stay away. Pick another McDonald's. They are placed every few miles along the highway, and trying this one instead of going down the road will likely mean you will wait forever for your food... that some of the food will be hot and some will not... that you will have an uncomfortable experience due to the stress bursting through the drive thru from good people at their wits' end, etc. I finally registered a complaint with McDonald's Corporate, though I am sure many others have done the same in the past. I have no real hope this restaurant will ever be someplace I enjoy frequenting. It's just a terrible experience... always. read more
