Purchased 4 meals through the McDonald's app for pickup here, went to curbside to wait and a girl the brought food out. I asked her if all the 4 sandwiches were in the bag, she said yes. I would have checked, but my younger son was in the car with the tray of drinks on his lap and it was dark outside. So I trusted the person and drove home 20 miles away. My wife and family sat down got their sandwiches, fries and drink and started to eat. I sat down ate my fries first and then asked where my Big Mac was and it was no where to be found. I tried calling the restaurants phone number that is listed and it doesn't work! Tried do a complaint on the McDonald's app and it's 4 full days now with no response. I would like some compensation since McDonald's isn't cheap anymore. Just very disappointed! read more

Very very upset, my husband and son went to McDonald's the one on the boulevard. He order me a 20 piece chicken nugget and 13 out of 20 we're old hell of crisping and you could tell someone order these and didn't pick up so they just put them back in the grease and over cooked them plus they must have been setting on there shelf for a long ass Time. A bunch of little kids who work here. No work ethic. No professionalism. Long wait times. Poor food handling. Ordered 4 ice cream cones during drive thru and watched the employee make all 4, touching all parts of the cone. No gloves. At other locations, I've witnessed employees wear gloves AND using a holder for the ice cream cones. Asked the employee to remake it with gloves on and he did. I hate being that person. It seems like this location doesn't care for sanitation or cross contamination. During one in store experience, the cashier at the register had very long acrylics and continued to handle my food WITHOUT gloves or without sanitizer. If you're at the register handling cash/card payments, you should not be handling food items at the same time. read more

I know fast food isn't known for service, but wow, just wow. Ordered via the kiosk, picked up my table tent with my order number, and then sat down by the play place. The floor in the play place area was so sticky, your sneakers squeaked and stuck to the floor as you walked. Since kids aren't allowed to wear shoes in the play place, this means they are walking across gross, sticky floors in socks. Yuck! 15 minutes later, no food. 30 minutes later, STILL no food. 45 minutes later, two very hungry kids and STILL NO FOOD. I went to the counter to see if my order had gotten lost and the cashier said she couldn't see my order and asked for my receipt. I showed her the table tent and said, "I just got this." She said, "Well, how am I supposed to know if you paid?" Luckily another customer said, "Your kiosks haven't been giving out receipts." Then the cashier says, "Oh yeah, our kiosks haven't been working, maybe we should put a sign on those?" Really?@@@! Your kiosks aren't working and you haven't put a sign on them and when I say I haven't gotten my order you tell me you can't help me without a receipt that your kiosks are not giving? The cashier was friendly and immediately got the manager. The manager actually found my order, which had apparently been sitting at the counter not delivered to our table (despite the kiosk instructing customers that their orders will be delivered to their tables). The manager kindly said she would re-do the order with fresh food. She was fast and kind. But when I sat down, she had missed one of the burgers! So I went back to the same cashier and explained the order was missing a burger. She asked what kind and I explained it needed to be totally plain, no onions, no mustards, etc. She promptly got me the cheese burger and was quite friendly. But when I sat down there was mustard and ketchup on it! Wow, just wow. If they had been trying to make as many mistakes as possible on my order, then I would say they hit the jackpot. I will say both the cashier and manager were friendly, smiling, etc. But this McDonald's needs to retrain management. If the kiosks aren't working, put signs on them! Walk around the restaurant to make sure customers haven't used the non-working kiosks. Management needs to understand, when the restaurant is busy--it was--their key function is oversight. Got in the drive through at 2:25am, made our order and line was moving quickly despite all the cars ahead of us. After paying we were told to go to a parking spot in front to wait for our food, ok that happens time to time that's fine. it's almost 3am now and one employee has come out once to hand out an order and hasn't been seen since. the drive through still has cars coming through taking orders, 99% of which are cars now sitting in the parking lot waiting for their food. if you're running behind or short staffed stop taking orders and deal with the ones you need to fill already. your food isn't even fresh it shouldn't take this long for a burger and fries. if i could get this refunded i would. read more

I had no issues with this Mcdonalds for weeks until today of July 22, 2021. I ordered 3 egg mcmuffins and a coffee at 10:07 AM. Coffee was brought to me about a minute, so that was nice. 10 minutes went by, sandwiches were not ready still. I keep heard nothing from the manager until 15 minutes or so, thats when she finally realizes theres 3 Mcmuffins still not over the counter. I accidentally ordered 2 orders of 13 cookies on the app. When I went to pick it up through the drive-thru and discovered that I ordered 26 cookies instead of 13, I asked if I could cancel one of the orders. They said NO. So at that point, I'm stuck with 26 cookies. I go around the drive thru and they tell me to go sit in a spot in front of the restaurant. Meanwhile, I've asked a few other employees to see if they could cancel it. No one even attempted to act like they wanted to help me. So I go wait in a spot and they leave me sitting there waiting for the cookies (that I didn't even want all of) for 20 minutes! If they would've just canceled the order they would have saved themselves the time (during the dinner rush on Friday night) as well as my time and money! So this McDonald's used to have amazing costumer service until they started hiring low income people from outside of Castro Valley. They all have nasty attitudes and nasty customer service.
