I usually don't review our roadside stops but this McDonalds in Cathedral City stood out to me. It was exceptionally clean and I'd even venture to say nicely decorated? The staff were also friendly. I really wanted to try one of the new Dirty Dr Peppers but wanted to sub the full sugar Dr Pepper for diet (y'know, because I'm so healthy eating at McDonalds) and they let me do it! I had asked at another McDonalds and they straight up said no lol I respect it but had to try again at this location and was grateful I was successful. I'm here just a few minutes before breakfast is about to end. I went to an open table and ordered through the app. If you embrace the technology and hop on their free wi-fi, ordering is a breeze. I got the two sausage egg McMuffins for $6 deal and put in my table number and no kidding, within 2 minutes, a pleasant employee brought me my food. It was so hot and delicious and fresh, it looks like something out of one of their commercials. I'm including pictures of both the inside and the food. It's absolutely spotless and the food is amazing. Highly recommended to come in person in between busy times! read more

I have not once received great customer service at any McDonalds locations when dining in. Its almost as if they don't believe in it. The workers are usually grumpy, rude, and unfriendly. That was not the case at this location when we stopped by yesterday morning for breakfast. The worker that was manning the register and running the food to the tables was kind, attentive, and very friendly. She dropped off our food in such a friendly manner and even asked if there was anything else we needed from her. She was like that with every customer she dropped food off to and she would then go back to the register to help people in line. The inside was clean and he bathrooms were as well. read more

Food was McDonalds. No problem. Service was terrible. Clerk couldn't even count change. He mistook a 20 for a 5. He argued about it until he saw the 20 in the 5 sec section. The app said up to 4 items and the server wanted to only allow one and called over the manager who let us have it. Ambiance was typical modern day McDonalds with no playground and 3 or 4 kiosks. Stopped here for a little break just minutes ago. Amazing establishment. Management was on point, helpful, and very kind. The bathrooms are always a tell tell to the quality of service and commitment to its customers, and let me tell you. The bathrooms are spotless!! Clean and they smell good. Both ladies and men's. The manager was a disrespectful B. The employees have zero clue what they are doing. Waited over 30 min for a simple order. My number was no longer on the screen because it was complete yet they couldn't bag it and give it to me. It's really not the hard and these brainless idiots are making more then people who have an education. Believe the poor reviews any good ones are probably employees or family members trying to help them out. They are the absolute worse. The manager needs to get her act together. Her employees are not trained correctly. The kiosk machines are a joke. They have people waiting just to order for over 20 minutes. The owners or corporate should do a clean sweep of these employees especially managers and fire them all. read more

Fast and clean! Located a block from the hotel/casino it's a great option to grab a drink, bite or both. I happened to grab a smoothie for my son and fries... please don't judge me- he loves them both and we had a long drive ahead of us... it helped keep the peace. Way too slow. Third in line in drive-thru at 6:15 a.m. and didn't receive food until 6:26 and then they couldn't figure out my order!

We had no wait at 5:45PM inside, ordered on app and it was hot and ready in under 5 mins. Bathrooms were fairly clean but not spotless. I felt safe, food was up to par for McDonalds and staff were nice. No drink station or condiment area. Note: no diaper changing station in restrooms. read more

The worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Rushed us when there was no one behind or in front of us. Only got 2 out of 5 things we ordered. Wouldn't add it at the items at the second window cause they "didn't have a register" at that second window. Then we go inside to sort it out they start arguing with my husband saying they gave us our orange juice, and hash brown and they didn't. Food was fresh. The two stars was for cleanliness that can be improved (the tables and screens for kids were sticky and not clean at all), women's bathroom was not clean at all either. Unfortunately, there was a staff member with pink hair who was rude. I saw a Kiosk, but the place was practically empty. I asked the staff member if she preferred if I used the kiosk or if someone would could help with taking my order. The staff member replied, "We are understaffed, use the kiosk." A very kind staff appeared almost immediately her name was Mary, she demonstrated superb customer service, took our order and maintained quality and attentive customer service. I hope she is promoted because she was there to work and ensuring customers had what they needed (more people started to arrive after us). I watched her, amazing. Also, the lady with the pink hair was stopping and talking with another staff who was flipping fries laughing and chit chatting, she made time to socialize. read more

Second time I've been to this McDonald's and in the drive-through ordered a quarter pounder with cheese large order fries and a strawberry shake and again the french fries were cold and soggy and the drive-through was not very busy so they were probably sitting there for a while the quarter pounder looks more like a wafer but drive-through service was fast on how long it sat there before I got it just figured I'd let you know! Awful service. Waited in line where I was second and the girl asked me to wait. She took everyone who came after me next and then when I tried to get their attention to no avail. Finally I was helped and I let her know that I had been next which I normally never speak up for myself but felt like I had to so she didn't do it to more people. She said she was the only One taking orders but when I pulled up there were more employees joking around and I heard her complain to her coworker about me. So unprofessional. The guy was nice enough. When I pulled away I saw my frappe was leaking all over my cup holder and on my shirt. So I went back in like and the girl said I had to have the cup and receipt to show for it. Not that I frequent McDonald's, but when I go out of town, I'll sometimes grab something for breakfast for nostalgic reasons. This location has the two-lane drive through, and I pulled up to the left order speaker and sat there, as three other cars ordered at the right speaker after me. So, I started asking if someone was there at my speaker. No answer. I waited another minute, then decided to just leave. After I pulled forward, the car behind me pulled up to the speaker I just sat at for 5 minutes and ordered without issue. Do yourself and the country a favor. Eat at a small business. read more

We knew from the beginning this was a bad decision. But given many options we decided to stop for some semi reliable food. For starters the drive thru employee was not thrilled to be helping us. And incorrectly marked my no lettuce request as no mayo. We then tried to correct it at the pay window which took several minutes. We then received our food only to find those minutes were wasted and the McChicken still had no mayo and lettuce except now it an empty chicken less crust. The fry were not salted and very soggy and they threw a open Buffalo sauce container into ny bag. I love having to wipe down my food before I can eat it. Don't you? We just wanted to get a cookies and cream pie alright?, two of them. They gave us 2 apple pies and didn't tell us anything, keep in mind those cookie pies were a lot more expensive than the regular apple pies so it definitely was not worth it so we came back. This lady she told us she did not have any and didn't even say sorry and tried to argue with us when we asked for our money back. She took the pies back and we finally got a refund for the three pies we bought one being an apple pie. We also made sure to be nice about it because even if we were mad it could've been a mixup, the lady working there was the only rude one and even after a thank you that she did not deserve she didn't even say sorry or thank you nothing. I give this McDonald's a 5 because of its customer service! I placed a order in the drive thru and they got the order wrong. I called and spoke to the manager (Heaven). Told her what happened and the mistake that was made. Without arguing with me and doubting my word she offered to replace my order. When I went back to pick it up she was very polite and kind. I'm allergic to tomatoes so I always order my sandwich plan . This Mistakes happen quite often but not handled as nice and Pleasant as this was.
