This location has consistently given me a good grilled burger time and time again! The toppings are always fresh, patty is well seasoned and cooked well and the staff usually warm and friendly. If a burger is not what you are craving, they do have a very good variety of salads that are freshly made, well priced, and bursting with flavor. The majority of my visits are grab and go, however the times that I have eaten in has been comfortable and for the most part quiet. The only downside? The drive thru! Horrifically slow if you get behind a mini van/SUV that did not order ahead of time. I learned this lesson the hard way (lukewarm fries and burger) so do yourself a favor and pass on using it! read more

Decent food. Slow af. Fast food but definitely not FAST food. Don't bother with the drive through unless you want to "pull forward".

My family and I love Habit - however, it would be nice if staff allowed you as a customer to get a word in when you're ordering at the drive thru. I had thee worst experience today with an employee who did not let me finish what I was saying. She was cutting me off when I tried to repeat my order, didn't allow me to get a word in. I decided to check my order when she handed it to me and noticed she got it wrong, had she let me get a word in, I would have caught the mistake while I was placing my order. I know she was busy I get it, but please give your customers a chance to speak! I wanted a burger with pineapple in it and the teriyaki Habit burger hit the spot. Though I would usage liked more terrikayi sauce. I also ordered fries which were ok as some were overcooked. The service was excellent abs friendly and the atmosphere had a cool beach / Island vibe. I trued to go cheap and order a shake from a fast food restaurant and it ended up being the same price as it was here. Don't try to go cheap. :) read more

Quality seems to have gone down, especially with the avocado chips they are really nasty. They were great when they did the promotional ones, but now they are little pieces of tiny little brown/black avocado chips. It's a shame how fast food it's gone down they start out good then they go downhill.. Too expensive for what it is. When it was a new business it was great but not anymore. I have had great food from Habit Burger, in Los Angeles. I was excited that one was going to open up within walking distance from me. I've waited a bit to try them out, so they can work out the kinks. Perhaps I should have waited longer. I ordered 2 combos, for delivery. I got my order within 20 minutes of ordering, so I don't want to blame travel time on my disappointment. Didn't get one of the sodas, but that wasn't a huge deal for me. I have never had soggier fries. I think if they were floating in soup, they would have been crispier. I didn't detect any salt on the fries, which I don't mind, but I am used to fries being a bit salty. I ordered the double char burger. I should have known that they meant charcoal. The patties were charred beyond recognition. All I could taste was the burnt part, I just ended up not eating it because it was inedible. The other burger was a bacon barbecue burger. My friend didn't care for it. I do want to try one of their salads, but I doubt I will order another burger from there. read more

Upfront, an apology. I can not believe I didn't take one damn picture. All I can say is I was damn borderline hangry at the point I came through. Then, still had to drive home to eat. This was my first visit to any Habit Burger - ever. I was happy to see only one car in front in the drive-thru. Honestly, my expectations were low but I was open to be surprised. Minor hiccups during order because the employee couldn't hear the order clearly; drive thru is right there at Date Palm traffic. Non issue - repeated order and employee verified - problem solved. However, I could see that being an issue on a busy night. I ordered the bacon char burger and side of onion rings. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! This burger definitely tasted fresh. Upon first bite, in order of tastebud recognition: crisp shredded lettuce, tangy 1000 island dressing, perfect charred burger, perfectly salted crisp bacon and last the fresh tomato. There was bun (obviously), cheese and grilled onion but I didn't think about those until after the meal. The combination of it all sent my tastebuds through a rollercoaster. Good job, Habit Burger. The onion rings were very crispy, not soggy like other places. Our total drive thru experience: 8 minutes. All in all, this was a pleasant experience: food, service, location. This location is close to home so I'm sure I'll be back. read more

Definitely NOT a good first impression. I watched this location being built shortly after the one in Rancho Mirage/Palm Desert and thought they MUST be good if they can afford to build a second one so soon. How wrong I was! My first (and quite possibly my last) order consisted of a char burger combo with sourdough, add mustard, add grilled onion, add mayo, add pickle. For my side, I ordered "spicy" green beans with an extra "boom" sauce, and an order of french fries with extra salt and extra crispy with ranch on the side. I also included a large Mr. Pibb without ice. My total came to $19. What I received, as you can see from the photographs, were barely cooked french fries -- no ranch dressing to be found -- breaded "Spicy" green beans (bland at best, you have to add the sauce to it if you want any flavor), and a half cupful of ice in my soft drink. The burger was average. I detected no "char" flavor whatsoever. The "boom" sauce tasted like thousand island dressing (sans relish) when capsicum added for a mild kick. I specified capsicum because there was no specific chili pepper flavor at all. Oh, and I only received one sauce, not two. Service was good and on time -- I did curbside service, so did not go inside the restaurant. I also did not add a top to my check, but I did tip the person who brought my order to my car (that way I know THEY receive the FULL tip). Final note: I will most likely go elsewhere for my next burger/fries combo...like Sonic just down the road a bit! read more

Drove 20 minutes to get a burger, waited a for prep- and 20 minutes back home and found the burgers had cheese on them. My wife has a dairy allergy and even after specifying this they are covered in melted cheese beyond disappointing. We ordered impossible burgers because they are vegan.. what a waste of money and time. read more

Thank you Habbit for coming to Cathedral City, my home away from home! So great that they decided to invest in our community. I always go for a Santa Barbara Char, which is sourdough bread, two beef patties, pickles, avocado, tomato, lettuce, and cheese. I always order without mayo. My second favorite fast food burger is any burger from this chain and always feel like the inside of Habbits are brightly lit and decorated in a very welcoming way. Shout out to Alfonso, one of the back of house employees who went out of his way to help my mom out with a concern and to Skylor, who was, welcoming and super efficient. I came here yesterday at 2:45 p.m., which I thought would be an off time; as it turned out, there were only two empty tables left in the restaurant (although there aren't very many tables to start with). This location has only been open since March 1, so the newness will probably take a while to wear off. I ordered the Original Charburger Meal (#1), and although it was $11.79 on the menu, I was charged $12.59, plus tax. Maybe it doesn't come with cheese, and cheese costs $0.80? Anyway, the girl who took the order was friendly -- in a "they told me to smile and act friendly" kind of way, but that's still better than many of the fast food employees I've encountered over the years who make it plainly evident that they would rather be anywhere else than there. Once my order had been taken, I was handed a cup for my drink (unsweetened iced tea) and one of those little buzzer things that lights up and vibrates when your order is ready. I only had to wait a few minutes before going up to get my order, and then stopped off at the condiment stand where I was pleasantly surprised by a section with complementary chili peppers, sliced jalapenos, and pepperoncinis. Nice touch. The burger was better than your average fast-food burger, but the meat still got lost inside the bun somewhere. I liked the char on the inside of the bun, but the grilled onions were a little overpowering; if I were to return, I would probably hold the onions. The fries were okay; they were browned like they would be crispy, but for the most part, they were not. There were also way more fries than burger; by the time I finished the burger, I still had more than half of the fries left and ended up tossing a lot of them. Near the end of my meal, there was some sort of a machine on the other side of the wall that was churning and grinding, that was fairly loud, and vibrated the seat -- odd. In a very crowded fast-food burger market, where inflation has run wild, Habit Burger presents a decent burger for about a buck more than a Whopper -- and I'm not really sure if it's worth it. read more

Terribly disappointed with this Habit. The staff and service are poor. Two combos with onion rings were a staggering $45 and we had to be to place an order with a human instead of the kiosk. We placed our order at 6:20 with a scheduled pickup at 6:33pm, ended up getting our order at 7:45pm. Cold fries, cold burger, cold ahi tuna, cold onion rings...someone tossed our food on the tray and left it on the counter, we were never notified that our order was ready. Anthony, Assistant Manager took the time to walk the line of waiting care to greet and answer questions. I learned my favorite, ahi tuna is sashimi grade and cooked to a delicate pink. I hesitated on posting but, I'm still perturbed! On April 14th I went to the Cathedral City location. It is close to home. I've tried the location 4 times so far and each time has been VERY disappointing for service and wait time. The final time was the worst! * I ordered on-line and received an estimated time of pick-up * I was early so they asked me to park out front and someone would bring my order out to the car. THAT DIDN'T HAPPEN! * Got a message on my phone that my order was ready (which was 14 minutes past the original pick-up notice time). * Back to the drive-thu I go...... She says oh no, your order actually is not ready yet and that on-line and/or app orders come in at random and they had a large order that they filled first. I'm sure that is not true since I watched many people come-and-go * Finally - 34 minutes after placing my order it was ready. I voiced my concern the woman at the drive-thru about my multiple let-downs with their location - she gave rude look, closed the window in my face and waved me to leave! It really is a shame. I don't know if I will ever give them another chance! If I wanted to wait 24 minutes for a burger & fried, I would have gone to a sit-down restaurant and ordered a damn cocktail! This place used to be fantastic but our visit today will be our last. The vegan burgers are now $9.00 and a combo is $18.00!! I got a vegan burger and it was tiny, the size of a child's burger from McDonald's. Also we were given cold fries. My husband's salad was about 2/3 the size it has always been in the past. Clearly they are cutting corners but it's deceptive and sad. I will always remember the original restaurant in Santa Barbara but the chain is no longer worth it for anyone vegetarian or vegan. read more

I must admit I really like this place. Such good food at a great price. They don't take your weeks salary here for sure. I love either the chicken or the sliced beef. I always get grilled onion added, bacon, and teriyaki sauce. I love the sourdough bread that is grilled with it. The onion rings make a.nice side. I'm tempted to try the fish sandwich sometime but have yet to do so. Gives me something to look forward to someday. read more

Service is good. But the burger--salty. Maybe it's the onion? I tried more than 3-4 times. 90% is salty. Next time less salt.

If you order in The drive thru you better have time and for sure check the bag. Terrible at getting an order correct. Manager changed couple months ago and getting worse than ever on service and accuracy. I'd take picture but didn't get my order. lol. read more
