McD's sure gets a lot of bad press, but honestly it is a decent standard of fast food and one thing for sure: the quality is the same every time and well above average. Their problems are giving a wrong item or leaving something out, but the food is always as it should be, not spoiled, not cold, not burnt. I have had inedible food from the "King" but that is a different review. In particular the new big Arch is a good burger, if you like this type. The Arch is good with two big patties, soft, sticky cheese, lots of onion and fresh bread. I'm undecided on the sauce, it resembles big mac sauce but not as sweet. I would clearly get it again. Yesterday when I got home from going through the McDonald's Drive thru I was very disappointed with this, I ordered one cheeseburger with extra ketchup and no lettuce and one McChicken as it comes and it was not near normal I then had to take out more than half of the lettuce, but luckily I had my special Indian curry sauce that made up for it and made the burger and McChicken taste OK but the stuff by itself from McDonald's end was absolutely horrible and I haven't even started on the fries. First off, I am not looking to get any employee in trouble. I just want managment to fix their soda machine. I asked for "Light Ice" which means I don't want more ice than drink. This drink is 90% ice. When I pointed this out to the employee, I was told this is automatically the amount of ice when they press "Light Ice" on the machine. November 20th, 2025. My co-worker and I stopped in for some breakfast to dine-in. The manager on duty was busy working on drive through orders and seemed to ignore me standing at the register. My coworker used the kiosk to place his order. I had my phone to my ear. The manager seemed to believe because of this I must not be ready to order and continued to ignore me. He seemed angry about something and gave me several mean looks. Finally came up to take my order with a bad attitude. No smile, no thank you for coming in. Everything needs improvement but overall more than anything it seems to be the Customer service crew at night. Every time I order food through the drive thru ,mistakes start popping up on their side once i adjust a custom meal my way for example deleting some of their ingredients out or adding something else. It is hard to get something done correctly, just because of the inconvenience that People that work there have a bad temperament, which makes my stomach upset , I think they don't care how the food looks afterwards. It's like you'll ask them a simple question and they'll give you a grumpy grudgingly answer about it and deny any wrongdoing , that what I order is what I get every time.. it seems like they don't pay special attention to the microphone orders from the drive thru.. I've had bad ordering experiences already and think they don't care for the concern about making food right every time and have in fact gotten some sinister laughs from them after I start complaining to them. I actually 100% found the service here outstanding. I haven't been frequenting fast food these past few years but I fully expected way less from McDonald's. The kiosks are nice and the people are friendly and efficient. I don't know what I was expecting but this was definitely beyond my expectations! It's even Christmas Day! I was driving for Uber and realized that most places are closed today, so I ended up here (driving from SFO, currently staying in San Ramon for winter break). Juice Zone, which I frequent, was closed, as well as Starbucks. This is the only restaurant that appeared to be running in the complex. The deals are insane and the food was better than I thought it would be. I got some BOGO McDoubles for really cheap. I'm sitting out here in my car in the rain in the parking lot and I just noticed that the manager and the workers are coming out to give curbside orders. They are in no rush, not running or anything like that. I think even making sure the customers are satisfied, even as it rains relatively heavily and is pretty cold, below 50 degrees. Truly beyond stellar, in my opinion. They're wearing T-shirts in the rain, which honestly I'm doing right now too, but I park as close to the door as I can and book it into the restaurant (in other words, run!) I might be biased because I'm a young adult also working in the service industry but these people are truly heroes in society - to be working on Christmas Day is something a lot of people would refuse to do and these people are doing just that! I understand that some people wouldn't consider getting McDonald's on Christmas Day but it's actually really common. I mean, they're drive through pretty much always has at least 1 car present! It was extremely crowded when I went in, so I'll give them some leeway for this. But first, I asked for my mustard, and I love mustard and I need extra mustard on my burgers. When ordering my burger, I also requested extra mustard and when I looked inside my burger, one didn't have mustard at all, and the other had a little speck of mustard. I then asked them for 12 mustard packets, which I know that I exactly need 12 to match my burgers. The worker then lied to me and said there was only four mustard packets. I asked another worker for mustard packets and he gave me 2 more, so I know the worker was lying to me because they were not out of mustard packets. I'm a paying customer and my friends and I spent a total of $60 at McDonald's that day, me spending $20. I would expect to get the mustard I asked for because that is what I need to eat. And finally, after all of that, I get home to go eat my burger and see that they put ketchup on my burger. I've specifically requested no ketchup as I'm deathly allergic to tomatoes. Where do I even start... There have been two incidents here. Starting with I was coming back from a concert and it was 9:55 at night when we got there (they close at 10) and the front two people in my group walk in the doors and the janitor locked out me and the other half of my group and stared and laughed at us and meanwhile our friends inside were telling the workers that we are with them and they continued to laugh and then the lady came outside and told me to do curbside pickup and she herself would bring me my food (mind you they weren't closed yet) and i gave her the benefit of the doubt and decided not to complain and just do curbside pickup. Once my order goes through they were not giving me my food that i paid for and continued to stare and laugh and then i walked up to the window to talk to someone and they closed it and locked it. I ended up having to find someone in the parking lot to go retrieve my food and it was a huge waste of time, they weren't even closed yet and let half the group in so they should either let no one in or let the whole group in not split in half. The second incident was with the same group of people working and I ordered through the machine and after i paid i waited 15 minutes as everyone who ordered after me has gotten their food and i went up to ask the same lady who locked me out the other night to ask where my food is and she asked me if i ordered the exact food i ordered and i said yes and she claimed that it didn't go through as i can see my order on her screen and have already paid and she refused to give me my food and to refund me. I will never be coming back here again and i hope everyone becomes aware of this situation and hope and pray that these workers (they work the night shift Saturday night) rather get fired or learn to fix up their attitude or realize how wrong their actions are. Quick take: COVID-19 protocol We used the Mc Donald's app for the first time. Ordered and paid for our food before we left the house. The options for pick up were curbside pickup or drive thru.
