Small beef pepperoni pizza! Absolutely delicious!
    Suzanne O.

I was desperately searching for a beef pepperoni pizza spot because the one I usually go to was closed and I came across this gem! I was so excited to find out that they had beef pepperoni. I ended up ordering a small on the thicker crust called regular crust. It was probably the best pizza I've had in a really long time; fresh, hot quality pizza!!!!! Next time I will be getting a larger size and adding jalapeños as well as wings to my order! Yum!! So excited I found this place. Service was very friendly too!

It was a night for pizza since cooking or using the bbq was a no go due to the rainy weather. Appreciated the amount of meat and also the fluffy nature of the dough. Pizza can be expensive these days but good quality ones are worth the extra few dollars. You can order online or through one of the apps too. Would recommend this restaurant for those in the area. And if people prefer to dine they do have chairs and tables but take out at home is always nice with a little heating up.

Pepperoni and red sauce, bacon and white sauce - lunch combo

We were dropping off packages at UPS and starving and made a spontaneous decision to grab a lunch special at Danville Kitchens next door before we ran additional errands. It was an affordable deal for an individual one topping pizza and a drink. I was shocked by how good this was. Soft, fluffy, and so saucy. This is our new local go-to spot for a quick bite of pizza.

    Inside with big screens.

I happen to be in the area for a medical appointment and wanted a place nearby to watch the NBA playoffs. Yelp led me here. Before heading there, I checked the yelp pic menus, and I thought they looked really familiar. Maybe it's like a sports bar template menu used by some sign makers. I stepped in and took a seat. Someone from behind the counter came out to greet me. I didn't recognize him at first, until he introduced himself. It was VJ from VJ's Sports Bar X Pizza in Alameda! He came up to me because he recognized me as one of the regulars at VJ's. Then it all made sense. That menu was the same as the one in Alameda. This was really VJ's east. Danville Kitchens must be the newer establishment though. The interior was more polished, slightly more modern. All the big screens were shiny and clear. It is smaller than VJ's I must say and also, in contrast, more a pizza parlor vibe than a sports bar one (maybe by design). I had the Garlic Parmesan Twists and the Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich. But they weren't the same as VJ's...They were actually better! The twist were better baked and more fluffy on the inside. The sando roll was toasted more delicately, and its ingredients seemed more fresh and flavorful. And just eyeballing the pizzas when they came out, they looked better crafted. The guy other than VJ working the counter was also friendlier than the ones at the Alameda locale and more engaging. People from all ages came in for a seat, quite comfortable and happy. The only thing I didn't like? Danville Kitchens' outstanding quality hasn't yet rubbed off on VJ's.

    Chicken Wings

We ordered Buffalo chicken wings and a meat lovers pizza (but were so hungry that we forgot to take a pizza photo!). The wings were not bad! Not bad at all! I love chicken wings, and these were cooked very well. The sauce wasn't dripping as it had been cooked in for a few minutes. The buffalo sauce had good flavor but lacked depth in spice. The ranch was good- home made? The pizza had good potential and the dough was cooked *PERFECTLY*, but lacked flavor in the sauce and cheese. The vibe was odd- kind of gave empty sports bar vibes, but the beers we ordered were flat so I wouldn't return for a sports bar night. I would return for the wings, but not the za. Pizza score: 4/10

Individual Garlicky Chicken Pizza (5 stars)
    Daniel C.

Danville Kitchens replaces the previous Garlex Pizza in the same mall as Amazing Wok and Yersen Gelato. We came here for lunch and the restaurant looked really plain. Maybe six flatscreen TVs, a dining area, and counter. They specialize in burgers, pizzas, and wings, but it's not really fast food. They seem to have a busy takeout business. Eating in had some hiccups since it took maybe 10-15 minutes to order food. Maybe they are still in soft open phase. The food itself was solid. Individual Garlicky Chicken Pizza was excellent - light, puffy yet crispy crust and perfect balance of cheese, light sauce and chicken. (5 stars). The cheeseburger and bacon chicken ranch sandwich were also both solids. You can request mushrooms on your burger too. Although they forgot, they took the extra step and sautéed a batch for us to enjoy ala carte. Definitely worth visiting again for that awesome pizza.

Danville kitchens is designed as a meeting place. It could almost be called a sports bar (see picture). There are six large screen televisions. The garden salad was better than most pizza places. We had our standard mushroom, olive, sausage add fresh tomato at the end pizza. The owner prides himself on the fact they make the sausage on premises. I believe they also make the pizza red sauce and dough. The chef gave ample amount of ingredients unlike many places that just do the bare minimum. We ordered thin crust pizza which was a tad thicker than expected but the flavors were excellent. As you can see from the picture you could have a nice group game party here. The owner is a pleasure to talk with and visited customers eating to ensure all was good. This is a family-run minority-owned establishment The owner works hard to develop a quality product. While we were eating, several to-go customers came by to pick up their dinner. Advertising is mostly word-of-mouth. We strongly recommend you give them a try. We will be back to give them a try.

    Pepperoni pizza

My new favorite pizza place! Finally a pizza that speaks to my heart. Ordered 2 pizzas wishing 3 days...cuz it was that good! I've only had the pepperoni and it was cooked just right. Not greasy, crispy but yet soft ...and that goes for the pizza crust and pepperoni...yummy! Only have we ordered online and brought back home to enjoy. The ambiance in the restaurant is ok not super cozy but doesn't really matter when the food is good!

    Inside! Looks awesome!

Located in Danville's downtown area, off one of the main roads, this establishment has a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. On a hot and sunny day (of which there are many in Danville) it'd be nice to sit inside, but the outdoor areas are covered and allow for a nice breeze so even outdoors is desirable. The food is quite good. There is a variety of toppings, styles, and sizes, most pizza lovers will find something here that they absolutely love. My party went with a kale salad to start, and a pepperoni and green peppers medium pizza to end. Both were incredibly delicious. In fact, the kale salad was so good it convinced me that I actually like kale - not a small feat if you know how I feel about vegetables. The service was solid - the host was friendly and seated us quickly even during the lunch rush, the server came by to get our drink orders almost immediately after we sat down, and the food came out piping hot and without much of a wait. You could do much worse with pizza joints in the east bay.

I Came here late night around 10:00pm because Roundtable was closed. I called to order a pizza and the guy was not friendly on the phone, he was not rude but not friendly either. I mentioned I never been here before and I would like to order a small combination, he said okay, it will be ready in 20 minutes, did not ask my name or anything. Okay whatever, maybe it's late. We found the place, walked in, they were ready for 11:00pm to hit and go home, tables were up etc. Walked in, I felt a little out of place. The young girl who was friendly found my order since there was no name, but she found it and we asked for plates, cheese, peppers etc. I paid and that was the end of that. Time went by, a man came out and handed us our pizza my partner said thank you, we never been here and we are looking forward to trying it. The guy gave a grin and we were out the door. I got in the car and told my partner, I have not tried the pizza yet, but I am not impressed so far. Like my dad always says "Bad customer service, makes the food taste different. I won't be back.
