Another Great McDonalds location with a terrific team. McDonalds is a business that does not change their model from location to location. In some cases, maybe a food addition or hours of operation change but the food remains the same. McDonalds has a business plan that is virtually flawless. Besides the fact that I love all their food, I love that it's prepared quickly and efficiently. The staff I have always encountered has been nothing less than courteous, friendly and attentive-helpful. This location was nothing different. Located right on Hempstead Turnpike not far from the parkway it makes it an easy stop. This location is large with plenty of seating, a very comfortable location. Burger and fries were fresh and hot. The location, is all windows and very bright. The restaurant was very clean. The person behind the counter greeted me with a big hello and was very pleasant and courteous. I had a gift certificate which took a few minutes to accept but it moved quickly and as soon as the person behind the counter saw the challenge, he immediately asked for some assistance. These reviews don't change much from location to location and I would not expect it to. Everyone does their job and follows the procedures... This always makes for a pleasurable experience. I can't even remember the last time I've had McDonald's but have been on a mission to discover which fast food chain makes the best "new' chicken sandwich. McDonald's, in my personal opinion is at the bottom of the barrel. The sandwich was sloppy and was doused in mayonnaise way beyond a normal amount. The chicken itself was kind of weird looking so I didn't even finish it. The fries, although there is something about their fries that usually is irresistible, were so overly salted that is offensive actually. I noticed that they added another take out lane and while I understand most people don't want to go in to most stores and restaurants, the extra need for quicker service for more people is baffling because based on my experience, gross. I was quoted a cost of 27 dollars and change with a promo included. I went to the cashier and asked if I can get the lowest price by constructing a meal with the same exact contents of order. First response was that it will cost me more with meal. I insisted that she (cashier) check that. She then checked and said I will need to pay 24.85. I complained to management that this experience happens every time I go to this store. I asked the manager why I must negotiate the price for my orders. The Mgr said that some people want to pay the higher price without the "meal" construct. I submit that this response is unreasonable and unbelievable. I want to let you know that the appropriate way to charge the customers is to automatically charge them the lowest price available for their order at time of purchase. The customer will lose faith in the overall honesty/sincerity of McDonalds brand if this practice continues. In addition, I am tired of eating raw under-toasted muffins with my orders. read more

Well this is by far my favorite McDonalds in the area, I am between 4 about equally distant away (Westbury/Farmingdale/Hicksville/East Meadow). Out of the three, this is the nicest one. I would've given four stars but there has been a pattern of missing orders, tonight I had to drive back for a 20 piece chicken nuggets and it is kinda disappointing. On one hand, I would normally hear people say to check the food before leaving, but my one order, a fairly large order of 60 nuggets, 3 large fries, and some variety of sandwiches seemed to take 15 minutes to prepare during a late night. At that time I was in a rush to get home for the kids. I am disappointed and I would probably recommend the management to give an approximate time expectation on when the food would be ready, and if you do make someone wait around 15 minutes for fast food, please be perfect in the delivery. It was a semi-painful first world problem experience, but on the bright side, I may decide to no longer support fast food franchises like McDonalds. read more

A different person came back and said the order was canceled. So I said why . She didn't know (mind you I'm standing in the freezing cold in an active driveway?!? I went back to my car and no one was there at that window after a few minutes I again walked back to the other window and this isn't easy as cars do t stop for humans walking in a drive through lane They want their coffee and they have been waiting 20 minutes on line.... I got someone nice enough to not hit me and let me to the window where they handed me 2 srinks and tried to give me another bag. I said can you bring that to the window where my car is. I got no response So I put the drinks in my car saw no one at the window so I walked back to the 1st window where I was completely ignored. Then the driver at the window motioned to the 2nd window where someone was holding a bag out. Finally 29 minutes after ordering I got my meal. I pulled out and my daughter went through the bag took out her food and then handed me mine but it was wrong.....all that and the meal was wrong. I was already 5 minutes away and late for school/work. I tried calling 10 times with no answer. Finally someone answered and said I had to come back (it's 15 min away at this point and I didn't have the time in the first place to turn around) I asked for a manager and was told there wasn't one on site. She said I had to call customer service I said I just called and she answered how do I get customer service and she said she can't do it (not sure what that meant) I asked for her to leave a message for the regional manager to call me and she hung up without any other words?!? Took a long time but I was finally able to locate a customer service phone number (contact us only gives a form to fill out) and called customer service where I was helped and for the first time apologized to (honestly I didn't need an apology just a timely meal or my money back) and treated with human decency. He was wonderful but couldn't do much he did put a message in for the regional manager to call me and a request for a refund. Oh after all this I was not in the mood for a cold sandwich with no hash brown but I did need a drink so I took a sip of my Diet Coke and it was regular Coke - and I'm diabetic. So don't let the average rating review fool you. This is one of the better McDonalds on Long Island. I drive for Uber across the entire island and this is one of my favorite ones when I'm in the area. The double ordering drive thru with parking space makes it ideal for parking and eating while the interior has also be renovated and is clean. The preparation of the food is a bit better than a few nearby and I haven't had a messed up order yet. 5/5 read more

I'm not here to criticize the food they serve, I'm here to criticize the employees who serve the food. Extremely lazy (most of them) and enjoy taking their sweet time to even open the drive thru window. A customer cut ahead of me in line, I first informed her, and when she ignored me I stepped back into line, and as I did I called her a word most deserving, began with B, if you follow. Well, that got her attention, she asked what I called her and I said it again to make sure she got it. She began to yell at me, and I was just done with that, let her rant.
