Stopped here to get a Coke and a water for my drive home. McDonald's is super irritating with water. It doesn't matter what you spend, they will charge you for water and they are the ONLY fast food chain of any kind within about 300 miles (not kidding) who does this. Not Starbucks, not Wendy's, not the local mom and pop places. Not the convenience stores (if you bring a container) No one except McDonald's. It's kind of dumb. Usually though it's a nominal charge, $.23 to $.50. So I just pay it. Elko though? A dollar. Honestly. And I ordered a soda too. I could see if I just asked for water. Oh, after a decade living in Elko, I should have been ready for the good old "Elko extra". But I forgot now that I live out of town. Anyway McDonald's water policy is dumb across the board, but Elko is beyond the pale on that front. Nothing about a cup of water is worth what I bet is a 1000 % mark up. Waited for ever for them to take my order at drive threw. Only ordered 1 breakfast sandwich was asked to pull forward and they would bring it to me. After watching the next 4 cars get their orders and leave I could not wait anymore and left without my order. Decided to give them another try wating at drive through to order and they skip my side and keep tsking orders at the other drive through so I didn't bother ordering and left. read more

After a long drive to get here we decided to grab a quick bite and came to McDonald's we ordered about $60.00+ worth of food which needed mgr approval because no one apparently has ordered that dollar amount, our order ranged from Big Mac meal, cheeseburger meal, happy meal hamburger , McFlurry, chicken nuggets and apple pies.. basically everything we ordered was burned or just too hard you heard a crunch in every bite, like someone forgot to pay attention to the beeping noise to and it was left in the cooker way too long also after reminding them no cheese 2x's on a Big Mac welp you know what happened yup it had cheese, the nuggets literally broke a tooth, we ordered 40pcs and I would say I probably threw away 1/2.. and the kicker the apple pie was burnt too (What? The play place was already closed for the night but our kids were super restless while we were waiting for our food. The employee Carmen generously offered to open it for us so they could get their wiggles out. She brought out piping hot food and they made a fresh batch of cookies. I had ordered two this morning. These had to be two of the best ones have had in my life. The English muffins were toasted, the egg perfectly cooked, and sausage had some great flavor. Sorry I did not get a picture but they would have been great food models. Treat - Recently discovered that they have a small pastry collection on their menu. We had to try their apple fritter. We had ordered two, one for each of us, well that was too much for us. The fritter was a great sugary breakfast treat which is rare for us. Service - Pulled up right to the ordering spot in the drive thru lane. Like must McDonald's they have two lanes that merge into one lane after ordering. My request is that you read this review for just one thing only. Sausage Egg McMuffins. That is what I get. I don't use the toilet or the internet or the soda machine or the coffee machine or the drive through. I don't buy fries or chicken nuggets or salads or ice cream cones or shakes or quarter pounders or hash browns. All I do is go in, order 2 sandwiches because they are on sale for $3.33. Swipe my card and then wait a few minutes for my food to be ready. It's never been speedy. But they have ALWAYS been fresh and hot and tasty. I doubt I will go in for anything else or for any other reason. The parking lot really isn't suited to my larger vehicle so pay attention if you are a higher profile truck. My friend and I were traveling through Nevada when we stopped in to get something to eat. We were in the car for 4 hours tired and hungry. When we walked in Angela greeted us with such a big smile and asked out how we were doing. Even when we were leaving she made a point to say goodbye to us after we were done eating. Her customer service was exceptional. All McDonald's are the same, with the same food and nothing really to Yelp about, but we really felt it necessary to give a shout out to this absolute sweetheart who made our visit to McDonalds just a little bit brighter. read more

Rude!! Dear drive through cashier, I understand it's early but slamming a window in my face, rolling your eyes and ignoring me was unnecessary. The cashier shut the window on me when I politely tried asking for a rag since they didn't have napkins to clean up the coffee and syrup on the coffee she handed me. Then stood there ignoring me, pretending like I didn't exist and that asking for a napkin was a ridiculous request. Took the kids in here for lunch on the last day of a road trip. The only option for ordering was the kiosks, apparently, but at least an employee approached me quickly to see if I needed any help. The food arrived promptly and was typical McDonalds fare. The kids appreciated the play place and the eating area was relatively clean. The downsides: it took me extra time to locate a straw because they were nowhere near the drink station. And the ketchup didn't have any available cups. I had to track down the small packets--also in an out of the way place. In general this place seems to be doing the minimum of what is required. They do what needs to be done, but there's no above and beyond happening here. read more

Just witnessed 2 employees playing around and they knocked a bunch of cups and picked them up and put them back and they were dirty.

They really missed the mark! I ordered 2 Big Macs with extra sauce (paid $.30each for the extra sauce) and extra pickles. What I got was 2 regular Big Mac's, absolutely nothing extra even though the tags on the box said they were to come with extra pickles and sauce. Not sure how this could have been missed because they were as slow as molasses seeing it was Thanksgiving Day. Also, I had a table number so I was waiting for the food to come to the table. Several minutes passed so I went to check on the food and found it setting on the counter where it had been for a while because the fries were barely warm. Food is what you expect at a fast food place. Went there when it was busy, so mistakes are bound to happen. I ordered two hot and spicy's, three small fries for my kids, 10 piece nuggets and a large drink. Everything was there except for one of my hot and spicy sandwiches, so I asked the manager if she had the other one. She rudely tells me I only ordered one. I explain to her that I ordered two, and she pops off on me saying that I only ordered one and I need to check my receipt. I told her (pissed at this point) that I did and I showed her my receipt. She huffs at me and walks away for a moment, and shows up with my sandwich. She never said here ya go, sorry, nothing. She just walked away. Worst manager I've ever encountered in any food place. But there is some homeless around you, outside and sometimes inside and will try to pick up conversations with you (on the inside),but other than that the food was good so enjoy. We stopped at this store after the movie tonight at about 9:30 the lobby was locked but we were able to use the drive thru. The order process was fine as was paying the the 1st window. The food delivery at the second widow was anything but exceptional or even acceptable. We drove up to the window and an arm pops out holding a bag of food, 2 straws and drink. I had to use two hands to to remove the bag, straws and drink without loosing or spilling anything. The arm pops back into the window and then pops out with the 2nd drink thus fulfilling our order. The green shirted "manage" who was the person handing us our food was turned sideways and never spoke one word nor even acknowledged us in any degree. Clean facility, fun kids play place, fast service. And the breakfast food was good. I cannot attest to the rest of the menu but the breakfast sandwiches are on point.
