You typically don't except exceptional service from a fast food drive through, but tonight the associate Junior pleasantly surprised me. On top of going through the drive through at 12:30am, I had a very large order for 7 people. Junior was very patient, got all of our drinks correct, gave us all the sauce we asked for (and more when I asked him at the window) and made sure that I got the order in a timely manner. Lone Star again ! After a month long boycott of this location , I went back. They overcharged me once again, on 2 different items , my Big Mac and my 6 piece nuggets . Terrible McDonald's . This is my local location since I was a little kid . I have seen it go down hill fast . The last few years they cannot get an order right to save their lives . A couple days ago their app was broken and I went into the location to order . The app allows the sauces you want . I order a chicken nuggets and they tried to tell me each sauce was 40 Cents . I told them the app was broken which they acknowledged it was but said they operate separately to normal McDonalds protocol and they will stick to the charge and could care less about my business . Service is terrible and the wait is long, your left waiting for your food with no attention from staff. The ambiance is sloppy and not clean, the floor is sticky and the trash is overflowing. We were heading home after a business dinner on the Westside on a Tuesday evening. It was getting late, and as we never had dessert, a sugar fix was in order to get us home. After many miles of driving on Ventura Blvd. from Sherman Oaks through Encino, we came upon this McDonald's. The drive-thru was open and ready for us. They were on a late shift schedule, with minimum personnel. As such, the money collection and food distribution happened at the same window. For odd reasons, neither exterior window was marked at all - not even with a header of trim to call attention to the location of the windows. I found that rather odd. I would think that when it's raining it would be very awkward to be serving with no overhead protection at all. Despite that, mission accomplished - a small McFlurry for me, and milkshake for Dear Hubby. Off we went into the night. read more

This is our local McDonald's down the street from us so on occasion when we're wanting a breakfast sausage McMuffin we come and get it here. Your typical McDonald food which is not bad for fast food. But I do give it 2 stars because the people that work here, the English is very hard to understand going through the drive up to order the food is very hard to understand what they're saying when you get up to the window to pay.it's the same situation. Not recommended. Extremely poor service. Few times, I have been to drive thru. Rushing to get orders, then we pay, and please keep receipt because they surely make mistakes and they don't accept it. I always keep receipts specially on this location. Then the last obstacle is getting the food. It's always missing or wrong order. I assume there should be an issue in their system when receiving orders. Then you should pay for what you asked for originally in the last window. That's why it's a longer wait time. Also I paid attention that people are screening inside there. At the second window, the new employee was helping me to pay, and a man (perhaps a supervisor) was screening at her for another issue. I've been a McDonald's client since forever like many other people. But this McDonald's has the worst service I've ever experienced. It's around my corner so unfortunately it's the most "convenient" for us. Every time we are there for breakfast time the drive thru cashier is super rude. But today they crossed the line. I always order through the app, this time I wanted my iced coffee with easy ice okay the app doesn't allow you to ask for easy iced is either extra or non so I put non. I asked my husband to pick up our order and he was surprised they gave him the cup almost filled to the middle and they told him "since you order Large with no iced this is what you get" he was shocked didn't even know what to say, he asked for sauce and was told he had to pay for them so he said never mind because they shouldn't be charging for sauce. This is a multi millionaire company is ridiculous the employees act like if their paycheck is going to come short because they handled sauce to the costumer or a full size coffee. I have never felt the need to write a review for McDonald's but the things I dealt with just now are so ridiculous to me that I had to for this particular location. I ordered a cheeseburger happy meal, sweet tea, and nuggets for curbside. I waited 8 minutes for curbside and the manager (wearing a manager shirt) came out, I rolled down my window and said hi, she said hi back and I was given my food with her repeating what I ordered. I opened the bag and noticed no sauce. So I walked inside, noticed quite a few people waiting (I now understand why I had to wait a bit), and went to the front on the counter and noticed the same manager and asked her for sauce that was forgotten in my bag. She responded with, "what was it?" I told her which and she said "you were the mobile order outside right? I swear I put it in the bag." I said "you can come outside and check because it's not in there, I check all bags." She still kept saying she had put it in there. No apologies, just trying to correct me and say I'm wrong without saying the words. After that, I get home. We notice the sweet tea is straight sugar. Non-drinkable. Our cheeseburger is missing the patty. Our happy meal got two apples, no fries. What in the world is happening at this McDonald's?! I feel bad leaving a one star but this is ridiculous. read more

CAUTION: if you order a beverage and would like a free refill DO NOT step outside the store! The cashier admitted they give refills but NOT if you go outside. So, in the hypothetical event of a global pandemic, and should you prefer not to eat indoors, don't go back in and ask for a refill. They don't care. Admittedly, McDonalds does not attract professionals as employees and training to be courteous must have long died out since I had my first job at McDonalds in the 70's.
