Stop by McD's during a road trip further north, and was trying to get a coffee mid way through the 7hr drive. Nothing else seemed to be in the area so at McD's is where we went. While here since hadn't eaten much, we ended up grabbing a few orders of fries and a couple of chicken sandwiches. The fries were probably the best part of the stop, but they weren't the greatest (hot & fries, and nicely salted). The chicken sandwich was iced vanilla Latte were extremely underwhelming. The chicken sandwich looked like something you'd get in a kids meals, i.e. extremely tiny. And the iced coffee looked extremely watery, and made me wish I hadn't ordered it at all. And had just waited for something else, which I would've gotten once we reached Eureka...but I know now for time time I take this trip...just make it to Eureka! BEWARE! No coffee in the coffee! Stopped by for a medium coffee - 2 sugars, 6 creams. I couldn't imagine it being more watered down so I returned for a refund. I was nice and understanding. This McDonald's is ridiculous. I would not go there, and if I could give negative stars I would. We just flew in town and decided to just get cheeseburgers from this McDonald's. Ordered 10 cheeseburgers. We get home and give the burgers to everybody. Only 2 cheeseburgers were made correctly. The other 8 had no cheese, no ketchup or anything. Just meat and bread. I come to this McDonald's probably bi-monthly for the past couple months and am usually really happy. Today, though, I got barked at over the speaker system because they didn't have large cups in stock. The woman (with a large braid, black hair) taking my order at 6:30ish was rude and rushed, talked over me throughout my whole order and had to restart twice, cut me off multiple times to ask if i was "finished ordering", even though we had just started over. she could not figure out a way to upgrade our fries to large with the meal because of the cups, but didnt try to offer a solution and cut me off while i was trying to order an additional drink and fry (you know, having to pay extra for less product than i would usually get because they didn't have the right cups, because thats obviously the customer's problem.) and didnt even bother to read back our order after screwing it up repeatedly once we finally got to the window to pay. I really hope Kenji reads this and recognizes having an employee like that amongst the team they have will lead to issues. I'll take a break for a couple months and come back. read more

I have hesitated posting a review because I didn't want to sound too negative. I eat hear way more often than I would like to admit but I would it averages to about a dozen times a month for 15+ years. Of the few fast food choices in town, sadly, this is the better of them. Most of the time they are friendly here. Every now and then, there is someone new who may be distant but I don't recall anyone ever being rude. I would give them high marks for this. When it comes to accuracy I would give them low marks. It's about a 60/40 if I am going to get what I ordered. The menu is pretty standard, yet it seems random if the correct ingredients are going to be on the burger. I rarely if ever order something special. Yet, different ingredients or condiments will be on the burger at different visits. I have asked for one type of 1/4 pounder and a completely different one was rung into the register. I have never had the wrong items bagged, but there have been missing items in the bag. Typically it is the chicken nuggets. Next we come to consistency issues. I don't mean about the food being consistently right or wrong. That is the issue above. I mean about consistently being made. McD is formula food so it should always be the same, like it or hate it. One day the fries are super salty, the next day they have no salt, the day after they are just right. It's a crap shoot on what you will get. As for cleanliness. This they are actually pretty good on. I don't mean during a dinner or lunch rush, as any dining room is going to be a little messy then. I mean the post peak hours where you can go in an the floor looks nice and the tables are clean. The parking lot is very well kept up. In summary, even with all the problems, it is still the best fast food in town. Imagine what the other places are like. read more

If you go in the morning, they are almost guaranteed to be cleaning the mocha machine. If you go in the afternoon on a nice hot day, they're almost guaranteed to be cleanning in the ice cream machine. I don't know who picks the cleaning times.
