This McDonald's always has quick friendly service especially for how busy it is.But as far as the food I got today it was a disappointment too say the least I got a burnt sausage egg and cheese Mc muffin and a steak bagel that was almost steak less. The dining area was not very clean. It is reasonably quiet for as busy as it is and they have plenty of parking although it can be tricky to get in the parking lot if you don't frequent this location. read more

Never get orders right, the food order is always wrong. They need a new system where they can bag orders correctly. I've always hung with these guys. Loyalty wise. I thought the dollar menu was considerate and i like the sausage biscuit enough to eat it at any meal. Then they gave up the dollar menu, and ended all day breakfast without warning. For a while, this place started acting like a restaurant and doing things that were contrary to corporate business bullshit. Serving breakfast beyond 10:30. Keeping costs down for senior citizens who flocked there like pigeons. Now, once again, they're letting MBAs run things... people who don't know how to connect with others-- screw MBAs and their bottom line bull shit-- i don't want to race to beat the clock to get a biscuit st 10:30 rather than 11. It makes me feel silly. So--I'm not coming back, and I'm the duke of this McDs. I'm lowering the stars because i get nothing from it. I was their constant defender in this town. Note to the owners: you aren't paying attention to what your customers loved. You were the center of town. You had it nailed. You gave us a place to gather, everyday. This McDonald's is always clean. Major plus for that. The drive-thru is almost always quick and painless. However, the last 7 out of 10 times I have been here, both inside and drive-thru, the order has been wrong. Both my son and I despise cheese, so we always say "No Cheese Please" when we order. Guess what comes on our order? CHEESE! You would figure this is an easy request, but the 30% efficiency is not a passing grade. I will say this, the receipt almost always reflects the correct order, so the cashier is not to blame. The service is friendly, and I love the feel of this McDonald's. read more

I worked there for a couple of years, tried hard. Sometimes the system overwhelms any effort to good work. Of course it's all controlled by company, but in deference to the company, they need to control things better. I used to eat at MCD whenever I was on the road, because I had read that it's one of the safer places to eat. I don't know what to say now, I know the owners and the people who work at the local MCD's and I wish them well. I will eat at other MCD's when I'm on the road and have no choice. I have not gotten an order correct here yet. Went for iced coffee and the gal insisted I wanted vanilla added. I repeated myself three times that I didn't want vanilla. Guess what, I got vanilla. Meal orders have been wrong and the lines are horrendous at the drive through. Worst McDonalds ever. I understand lunch hour rush, but to take 30 minutes, yikes. read more

30% of the time my order is wrong, I often get extra items or at least shorted an item. Food is hot if ordered at peak times, otherwise it a roll of the dice. And if your ordering a special request, well just don't! They are friendly and the get C for effort. If your order after nine pm just hand the your money and drive off, trust me your stomach will appreciate you for it! read more

The oatmeal wasn't assembled. Literally covered water in the oatmeal container and a bag of oats. Not sure if the water was ever hot enough to cook it as I didn't find this out until we had driven 12 minutes away and the water was barely warm at that point. They also over sweeten their iced coffee by a ton. Literally never tried one so sweet- I had to have them remake it and maybe they punished me by giving me uncooked oatmeal? ALSO just tried the hot coffee. It's literally the GROUNDS. Yesterday their coffee was fine and they assembled the oatmeal. Total wild card. read more

Honestly, i feel like business is going downhill. Went to get breakfast this morning before school and me and a few friends sat in one of the drive through lines for about 5 + minutes while the other lane already took atleast 6 cars orders. We finally ended up pulling out and going inside where there were many people standing and waiting for either their order to be taken or waiting for their food. No one took pur order in the drive through but continued to take the other lanes orders. Insane. read more

The morning staff is always on point, very fast, friendly, and punctual. Afternoon is another story. I cant remember the time I haven't gotten an order and something not be totally wrong with it. It'd be crazy to say this place needed shut down because it's the #1 popular place to eat. But I think that they should hire less of the young teens and more adults. I understand McDonald's is a fun place for teens to work but they're not professional whatsoever . My orders are always wrong, the people up front are always RUDE. Have lived in Greencastle for 19 years now, and have visited Mcdonalds A LOT over that time. It is only getting worse. It is usually always clean, that is a huge plus. Other than that, I cant really say to much good about it. No matter how big your order, plan on being pulled up. I just got pulled up last Friday for 2 mcdoubles and a coke. The managers have no kind of quality standards. Its all about their times. Doesn't seem like anyone double checks the order before handing it out. 5 out of 10 times your order will be wrong. They will forget something guaranteed. I have got to the point, I wont drive away from the window till I check everything. That includes Mcnuggets. We bought 4 ten piece nuggets and 3 of the 4 only had 9 in them. It really doesn't matter what time you go. I don't buy to much that's not on the value menu or on sale. Its simply not worth full price at this MCD. You would think breakfast burrito would be a pretty simple thing to prepare. obviously not at this location. Some will be what you expected and others will be the smaller than palm of your hand. Some will be nice and soft, others hard as a rock. We have started to drive to Cloverdale if we are wanting MCD, All around a very disappointing MCD. read more

We all are aware of the kind of service received here. Slow service, messed up orders, long wait times, being pulled to next window...etc..what some do not know is how they treat their employees. My daughter has worked there for 2 years. Started at age 15. In her time there she is constantly being used. Here are a few examples. She is in high school and works after school. Her school lets out at 3:10 and is 30 minutes from work. So she has to change there to be on time, they know this, and not a big deal. It's is work after all. It becomes a big deal when they don't give her a break and have her clock off at 9:59 so they don't get in trouble for labor law. 6 hours requires a break for minors. So they don't care she may be a little tired and hungry from going to school all day then working all night. 2) She was scheduled one Saturday this past winter. It snowed good amount and business was slow. They had to cut hours, makes sense. But what does t is making my daughter clock off for 4 hours but not let her go home because she was scheduled 11-7 and had to check with night manager to see if ok for her to be sent home for the day. At 5 night manager sends her home. She was there from 11-5 and only paid for 2 hours. Ridiculous...3)One week ago, she was scheduled to work 12-7. At 7 she asked manager if her replacement was there. Manager said give her a minute. After 35 minutes and asking same manager why she can't go, was finally released. My wife who works 12 hours shifts sit in their parking lot for 30 minutes because of a manager that doesn't care about employees. My daughter has been called to work on her days off more than I can count, and only said no 2 times because of prior engagement. Her availability is 40 hours a week in summer and on break from school. Has been a crew Trainor for over a year and this is how they treat you. She put her 2 weeks in today. Sad thing is, she is not only minor they treat like this. Turn over rate is ridiculous. They have a program now if a person you train stays longer than 3 months you get a bonus. Last 3 months they only had 2 stay longer than 3 months. It's not the employees who drive others away, it the managers. If that's what you call what they have at this location. I call them glorified headsets. All they do is make noise. read more

I don't know what happened, but in the last few years, the management at the Greencastle, Indiana McDonalds apparently don't care about customer service and the importance of keeping the consumers satisfied for return business. The employees there obviously don't, care. I work a late shift and don't get to eat until later in the evening and it seems everytime I drive through, I don't get greeted with a friendly "welcome to McDonalds" like in the years past that McDonalds is known for, nor do they EVER get the order correct, even after repeating the order its still wrong. I don't have a problem with returning to have them fix the issue, the problem is, I've driven over 9 miles to get home to find out my now half cold order is wrong. I wish the management or whomever is responsible for the training in the facility would take more time with their employees to correct the non-existant customer service. read more
