I arrived at 5:50am on 6/27/23 at the drive-thru; the posted opening of the drive-thru is 5:30am. No response whatsoever at the order kiosk. I drive up to the window - no one seen anywhere; no activity in the restaurant. I drive around and park. I walk up to the restaurant at 6am - it's scheduled opening time to go in. No one in the restaurant, no activity, no one cooking anything. Then I see one person load a bucket of ice in the drink dispenser - he gives me a blank, dull look and walks back to the rear of the restaurant. Where is the manager? Where are the employees? This McDonalds restaurant has some very serious issues. read more

What's to love?! They have a monopoly over the area within a 30 min radius. It's hit or miss on whether it's good and it shouldn't be. The meals aren't even cheap! I originally planned on giving this particular McDonald's one star, but the food was decent, and my cashier was friendly. The location of the McDonald's proves to be convenient for much of the West Point cadets and staff. However, for someone just passing by like me, this is pretty irrelevant. I ordered 20 McNuggets, a large coke, a caramel frappé and a Filet-o-fish to share. I waited fifteen minutes for my order as I watched the staff joke around in the kitchen, throwing around derogatory remarks to each other and working at a slothlike pace. I watched a worker make my caramel frappé, coffee dripped onto his fingers and he proceeded to wipe his hand on the machine. A French fry basket full of fries was lifted from the floor before being put into the oil. After seeing what went on in the kitchen, I had lost my appetite. I tried looking for more pros for this place, but unfortunately, none struck me. read more

Dear McDonald's, Thanks for always being there ever since I was a little baby boy. My father was going to buy a franchise with his partner Uncle Dave but when it came time to finish up the last course at hamburger you and dig through the trash they both bailed out. There's an episode of It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia about wrestling for the troops and Danny DeVito takes the role of the garbage man. My favorite episode by far my favorite episode by far so it inspired me to become a kid again and pick up trash wherever I see it. So if you see someone in your parking lot taking up trash please don't get nervous and call the police it's not suspicious activity it's actually the thing that the Indian with the lonely tear was crying for. This is probably the cleanest McDonald's I've ever been in. The floors and all the tables. Even looking where they prepare the food is organized and clean. The young staff actually seem like they respect their place of employment. The talk politely to one another and seem to work as a team. What a delightful visit to a McDonald's. I stopped doing fast foods. And meeting some one here actually made me want a fish sandwich. To my delight it was not tartar sandwich. Light tartar as I wish other McDonald's could learn. Too much tartar was why I stopped going to McDonald's. So this was a delightful experience all the way around. read more

I have mixed feelings about this McDonalds. The Good: 1.) This Mickey Dees is close and convenient for those of us, including myself, who work at West Point. 2.) Standard McDonalds fare 3.) Very nice, spacious and clean The Bad: 1.) They've recently implemented policies that are incredibly stingy including charging extra money for customizing iced coffees and getting more condiments 2.) I really hope that the owners of the McDonalds in Highland, NY read this because they need to overhaul their whole managment team. New York state requires that workers receive at the minimum 15 minutes break for every four hours of work time. At this McDonalds, my understanding is that there are no breaks given. I know this personally, won't express who told me. The Managers are rude to their workers and even make fun of them. This I saw for myself ! I am outraged that a company that is supposed to offer young people their first break at a job and promote support in their commercials demonstrates the total opposite of what is portrayed. I think if you overhaul your management staff and or provide them with better training, this would not be happening. It's no wonder you are understaffed, who wants to work in an enviornment that is toxic! Clean it up! read more

I work at the USMA at West Point so I have been stopping frequently for breakfast in the morning for the last few years. The employees are always very friendly. But someone needs to PLEASE show them how to cook hash-browns. Compared to other McDonald's, they are always WAY under cooked and greasy. It's like getting super oily lumps of barely cooked potato. Sometimes I try ordering them well done, just to get them cooked close to how other McDonald's do, but then this almost always will guarantee that I'll be told to pull up to wait for my order to be brought out for me, even if there were 4 cars ahead of me at the time I placed my order and then that takes too long.
