I love Shake Shack. Shake Shack is wayyyy better than In N Out and I will defend them to the end. However, I will not defend this particular Shake Shack, as they continue to disappoint. When they first opened at Woodbury Commons, I was so excited to finally have some decent food to eat while taking a break from shopping. I have dined here at least 4x, and each time the staff is just super rude. One time, I ordered a Creamsicle Float thinking I'd get my order fairly quickly. I waited at least 30 minutes (with one follow up to the counter asking if my float was ready). Then I saw a glass with just vanilla ice cream. I asked - "is that mine? I'm order #123 and ordered a Creamsicle Float." The staff said it was and for me to go fill it up with orange soda myself. I was annoyed at this point and her attitude was certainly not necessary. The next two times I ordered from this particulate Shake Shack, I had to wait almost an hour plus for my food to be ready. And again, I was only greeted with attitude. I don't go shopping at Woodbury often, but when I do, I almost invariably always end up at Shake Shack. This location is always packed though finding a seat is not difficult because of the sheer volume of people coming and going. However, more seating, especially outdoor seating, wouldn't hurt. There are some kiosks at the entrance as well as cashiers ready to take your order when you step in. It does take some time for your order but I haven't had a single bad experience with my food yet. I usually either grab their shroomburger or whatever is on the special menu. I find that sometimes the temperature of the fry is not hot enough and the cheese comes out a little cold or congealed but I have not experienced it at this location. read more

For lighter eaters, a single stack is more than enough. Grab a black and white custard shake and you are set to go. Food is good. It's definitely heavy though, and your stomach will tell you so. It did for me. This is a teenagers meal. Service is quick and courteous. Given how packed the restaurant was during Father's day weekend, it was reasonable to wait a bit longer for our food. Took around 10-15min. Atmosphere today was loud and crowded. Definitely too many people inside the restaurant, but it's to be expected. With so many people, I was thinking they might be breaking some fire codes. It was also messy around the trash areas, but workers were trying at least to keep some semblance of cleanliness. I went for the shake (and the shopping). It was fine. Our intrepid group of three all opted for the hotdog (100% beef - hurrah), plus fries and shakes. The dog was split in half - long for the bun - with smokey flavor and a bit of a snap. Not my favorite. And the bun seemed a bit doughy (it would have improved with a light toasting). It's naked - but we were provided with a ton of ketchup and some Shake Shack sauce (which is orange colored mayo that must have something added but no clue what). Crinkle fries were well salted (one size option only). The shake was thick and flavorful. I ordered the black and white - which was explained as vanilla with a chocolate ripple through it. Not so sure about that... it looked just like the chocolate shake. We talked a lot about better dogs (Five Guys, Harvey's), reminisced about the bottomless fries at Five and waxed poetic about In-and-Out burgers. Let's be honest, we are judgy. You might be happier if you crave a smokey snappy soft bunned dog. Shake Shake was limiting people inside to maintain social distancing so we queued outside for 5-10 minutes and were directed to a specific register with a staff member who's name we were told (thanks Eric!). We chose a remote booth for additional d (the one beside it was taped off to protect us when we were mask free). The outside area also had reduced seating. Just visited and just finished eating our food. Bacon cheese fries were ice cold. Two of the burgers were colder than room temp and just alright. If they were hot, definitely would've been delicious. I like other shake shacks but not this one's trash service. They gave the customers after us the same table number and then ended up giving them our food. They ate our food and then got their actual order and we were left with nothing. We waited for an entire 30 minutes before setting our eyes on the 2 sandwiches and two fries and fountain drinks we ordered. About 15 minutes in we asked what was up he said 5 minutes after 5min still no food they said they just started remaking it((!!!)) and finally explained what happened and I'm thinking, ok they are very aware of their problem seems like it's nothing new, knowing they have duplicate table numbers, so why are they not creating a solution for it? Maybe putting the extra table numbers away before start of business day? Because they don't care and they'd rather give you their song and dance to excuse their sloppy service then be proactive.
