I think I've been to this location a long long time ago but I'm glad I'm back. To be honest it's hard to tell the difference of Cracker Barrels once you pull into the parking lot. Most of them are the same and consistently is a good thing. You know what you're getting every time. There are rocking chairs outside with a giant checkers board as well. The store is the first part once you walk in and they have all kinds of snacks, drinks, toys, souvenirs, shirts and much more. Some of it is branded stuff and most of it is pretty unique stuff. The restaurant is past that and you check in with the hostess and hopefully there isn't a wait. I usually get the breakfast and it's good every time. Breakfast all day as well which awesome. First of all I love Cracker Barrel in general. It was semi busy during our visit. Service was very slow. My over easy came with the yolks broken. Not all of my food came out at the same time and I finished my plate before my sides came out. I didn't want to send my eggs back because of how slow they were. I wanted a refill on my drink and waited, but grew tired of waiting and left and paid my bill. read more

Well Cracker Barrel has always been a road trip staple since I was a kid. They are all certainly hit or miss depending on the day. Now when coming here if you looking for world class chains well it's not happening but if you looking for some staples that are good and remind of some southern cooking then you will have a good experience. Our serve was nice but we had some issues with our food and the manger just excuses everything away. My food was decent I got the fried chicken breast and got it with a side of pancakes and onion straws. The kickback sauce is good. It not too noises where you can't talk to your table. read more

Had breakfast with the wifey the other day. I don't know what it is but even though I'm famous they don't like to give me attention. The waiter barely came over to the table. No water refills, no extra napkins, no nothing. My order came out but it was wrong and it took them way too long to fix it. But the food was actually pretty good. It wasn't very hot but it was hot outside so I couldn't taste the difference. The place is very fun looking. Lots going on and very country feel. My wife took way too long looking in the shop. Specials for everyday of the week. They have nice portions. Delicious corn bread. The outer store has all of the goodies, games, clothing and jewelry is awesome. For a while this location had markedly improved but as of late it has been going downhill again. We arrived on a Friday for an early dinner and got seated immediately before the crowd hit. I ordered the Friday Fish Fry and it was disappointing. The fish filets were smaller than I remember and they were so dry and fried to a crisp I didn't really enjoy them. The coleslaw was very watery and the biscuits and muffins were so dark we didn't bother eating them. Hubby had the chicken and dumplings and said that the chicken was cut way to large to absorb any flavor. Also they put his mac and cheese on the same plate and they ran into the dumpling sauce. I will still go here as I love Cracker Barrel as a whole I just hope they improve a bit on their food. read more

I can't even give this a 1 star since we never even got to eat our food. We ordered at the table and 35 minutes later the waiter says he forgot to put it in, retakes the order then 5 minutes comes back with food. It was "sitting" somewhere else. The food was inedible it was sitting so long so we had them redo the order. 30 minutes later the manager comes over and apologizes the order didn't get put in AGAIN and he was personally going to take care of our order and everything is free. So I do not like heavy, bland pancakes. I don't like any but a particular family recipe. Ever. Cracker Barrel are the only pancakes I will eat than my family recipe. Stopped in for some breakfast while on a road trip and I was so disappointed! This place was freezing first of all, the staff was ok, but appeared to be in training. Got their cracker barrel breakfast platter and the sausage tasted like cardboard, the grits and eggs were decent, their biscuits have to be pre frozen they were awful. Seating is prompt, the waitstaff service is cordial and also quick. This particular Cracker Barrel is celebrating his 25th anniversary in Fishkill. Food comes out quick enough, and it's close to what you ordered as possible. Good for small groups or families, as well as a single diner. The four piece southern fried chicken chicken, was good juicy as always but not really piping hot. Neither was the baked potato. The butter wasn't melted. Neither was the cheese, and I got the loaded baked potato by the time I took my second or third bite it was cold. The mac & cheese I don't recommend it unless you like watery mushy mac & cheese. The baked apples are really tasty but they got skin on them. I don't like skin on my baked apples maybe other people do but I don't. Love my old-fashioned root beer the waiter and the cashier was pleasant And helpful. Our gift card didn't work so we have to call up and find out what happened with that. read more

Horrible experience today! Where do I start. Got there at 6:50pm and the place was not busy we got a table in 5 min. The waitress came and took our drink orders and after our food. She was a good sever .. BUT!! Whoever is in the kitchen should be fired!!!! 7:50pm !!! and still no food and one order was a simple salad ‍ Then we asked how much longer and they said almost ready, the kitchen was busy which was not true. Also their menu shows items that are suppose to be quick orders !! Now to the food , i got the chicken and dumplins which were a quick item on the menu and a signature dish ! Took 1 hr to come and there was about 12 dumplins which were just like raw dough and 2 small pieces of chicken. Picture shows it looks a mess. Then i asked to change it and they said ok but they were out of chicken tenders so i asked for a chicken sandwich. Couple minutes after they come say that they have chicken tenders now if i want that. I said what ever is faster at this point, its been 1 hr and 30min. 10 min later finally i get chicken tenders and mac and cheese. Not worth the wait at all. Also a hair was found in the salad. Fish was over cooked. So kitchen gets a zero !!!! Waitress and manager were nice tho. read more

Whoa. Look, it's probably just a coincidence, but I've been going here for years and have never had a bad experience...up until today lol. It's the Sunday before Labor Day so maybe that was it, but today was my first ever bad experience at a Cracker Barrel. Was it the holiday weekend or the new logo/rebranding?! Haha. My party of 4 arrived at around 1:45. We were seated relatively quickly considering how busy it was (thank goodness for adding ourselves to the waitlist before getting there) and the waitress came over and took our drink order after about 5 min. She got our drinks about another 5 min later and took our food order, but all 4 of us had to change what we ordered because so many things on the menu were not available! I got my chocolate milk and poured it into the glass, but when I took a sip it tasted very sour. One of the cartons smelled awful! Luckily she took that back and I got a sweet tea instead that was pretty refreshing. The food took 55 minutes to arrive. Unreal. My girlfriend and I ended up going with the chicken n dumplins. Hers looked pretty good, but had less chicken in it than usual. Mine looked dry and barely had any sauce. It looked like it came straight from the microwave, and it was lukewarm. My girlfriend's side of broccoli was cold. My mom's hashbrown casserole was lukewarm and seemed to be burnt leftovers. My girlfriend and I both got a side of corn and it was much less buttery than usual andjust tasted kinda watery. The floors had plenty of food on them with nobody going around to clean and the bathrooms both had trash cans overflowing with paper towels. I don't know what else was going on in the lady's bathroom, but our moms both said they were filthy. I'm someone with a family whose new year tradition is swinging by this Cracker Barrel for a good breakfast to kick off the new year ever since 2005. Well we can cross it off our list of trying it out, should have just gone to the Red line next door. Will say the pancakes were very good, did not like the baloney maple syrup, half sugar water. Would have paid for real maple syrup. The worst thing were the sausage hockey pucks that you could use on a air hockey table, just not eatable at all. Some sort of gravy you are to use on briskets not to warm. Eggs were reasonable but overall, meh. Bacon could have been cooked more but like I said pancakes good. Look don't get me started. This is one of my favorite breakfast places. I don't get to go often because it's so far but when I do, I know I'm going to Cracker Barrel. 8 years ago we saw this restaurant from afar but we didn't have time to stop. This trip we decided to stop and give it a try. It was a terrible $85 meal. Our waitress was very nice. Friendly and attentive. The food. Steak tips, shrimp and grilled chicken tenders with mac n cheese and tot casserole. 1/10 everything was just dry. The meat had no flavor, the shrimp was 90% breading and the chicken was dry. The Mac n cheese was also dry and flavorless. It didn't taste cheesy at all. The tot casserole was shredded hasbrowns that were mushy. Hamburger with bacon and cheese. The patty was very much overcooked. We asked for medium well and it was well well edging on shoe leather. It didn't look like a burger they made fresh but rather a frozen patty from Costco. 0/10 Maple bacon chicken again. So dry. There was flavor from the bacon and cheese that was melted on top but the chicken was like it had been sitting under a warmer for an hour or so before coming to the table. 2/10 Fried pickle chips. These were actually pretty good. They could have been better had they been left in the fryer for one more minute. 6/10 Cheddar bites. These were delicous. I wish we'd only ordered these and then just dropped. 10/10 Biscuits and corn bread. Um not sure how corn bread can taste not like corn bread. Just no. 1/10 Save yourself $85 and go to McDonald's down the street. read more

If I could give 0 I would. This was my first time ever at a Cracker Barrel. Ready to lose my virginity to this place. We get seated and nobody came to our table to take our order for over 15 mins. Two couples came in after we were seated and immediately get service before us after have been waiting 15 mins. We gave the server a chance and waited 10 more mins. Another couple came in and also immediately gets served. The hostess came over to us and says someone will be right with you. After that we walked out. Terrible service for my first time at a Cracker Barrel and didn't even get to take my pants off to lose my virginity. Guess this one will not be taking my V card . I'm not much to give negative reviews, My experience was the waitress who was serving us did not have bedside manner.. never checked on us to see if we needed anything which I think that this so so very important when dealing with customers in the restaurant business. The pancakes were horrible, they were hard not fluffy, the bacon was not cooked properly.. it was still soft, not crispy the way I wanted it. Took one bite of it and didn't care for it any longer. Terrible customer service, attitude starts from host desk. Made an online reservation, fyi, it only allows up to 6, we were 7. When we arrived i notified the host we are 7. Then manager showed up, said that we changed the number, now we have to wait 2 hrs!! I said, it is your pages's problem, i have no issues making a reservation for 7. I drove 2 hrs to get here, now telling me they cannot accommodate me!!! Made scene, we sat after 2 parties. You guys have to fix that!!! Our server Amanda was amazing!!! 5 stars to her!! Food was ok.
