The service is extremely slow. The line to enter the drive thru was moderate but it took an extremely long time before I was able to place my order. I wanted to park my car and walk inside to place my order but a homeless man was sitting on the ground adjacent to the door and it felt unsafe. Stopped here after a Drivin N Crying concert on Isle of Palms. Line was moving fairly progressively and there were quite a few customers coming through at this time of night Guy was very polite taking our order and even understood my English UK accent. Got our food very quickly and saw all three members who served us at both windows. Asked for extra ketchup's and they hooked us up. Also our order was 100% correct. I really liked these guys and wanted to give them a positive review rather than all the other ones that are negative. Now I have had some bad McDonalds experiences in my time but this was excellent. I really like the McDonald's on College Park Road in Ladson as it is a consistent place to get food at all times of the day or night. McDonald's is what it is, but this McDonald's exceeds the expectations of what you would think a typical McDonald's should be. I have been coming here for years and it has been steady in quality throughout the years and they do their job well here. This McDonald's is very convenient and easy to get to off of Interstate 26 as you can get your food and be on your way on the interstate in little time. The staff here is great and knows how to keep things moving even when they are really busy and have a lot of things going on inside. This McDonald's is a good one and I will continue coming here. read more

I went at 1:30 on a Friday afternoon thinking they wouldn't be that busy. The double drive through was NOT moving, so I opted to go inside. I ordered on the fancy do it yourself ordering boards rather than dealing with the disgruntled looking cashier. It took about 10 minutes to get a cheeseburger and fries. We stopped into this McDonald's on our way back from Charleston traveling on I-26 to get to I-95. We didn't really get much at the hotel the morning we left as there wasn't as much that I really wanted from their options that day, and the breakfast area was already pretty busy as it was. We visited this place on March 1, 2016. When we came in, the place wasn't that busy. We had ordered breakfast. On this visit, I had the bacon, egg, and cheese bagel. This was actually one of the better experiences I've had any any McDonald's anywhere. The food was actually cooked properly, came out hot, and done exactly the way it should be. It's hard to find this in any fast food place, not just McDonald's. The staff were friendly and attentive; they actually cared. Overall, I was quite surprised at having such a good experience. Hopefully this is the normal here. I don't live in this area, so it was just a one time visit for me. Based on this visit, I'd recommend coming to this McDonald's. read more

I'm getting more into the healthier part of their menu, which is thin to start. I'm disappointed that the side salad cost me $1.39 but, with 2 cherry tomatoes and a few slithers of carrots, should only cost 89 cents. Shame that there's so little McDonald's can offer to promote good health. Maybe I've been to this location too many times. I do appreciate the free wifi speed and playground. This location is so freaking slow. I live right around the corner and it's the most convenient McDonald's as far as location. However I don't have an extra 30 to 45 minutes to sit in line in the morning because your kitchen is so backed up they can't function for a few cars. It's so stupid that the purpose of paying early is to speed up the line, but even then you're still stuck in the drive-through for an additional 15 minutes waiting for your food. They do have two drive-thrus now, but the set up can be a bit tricky during rush hour cause they're set almost in a parallel fashion (instead of back to back) like most double drive-thrus, which presents a problem when cars are merging to one line to pay and pick up their orders. Too many people behind the counter standing around laughing and cutting up instead of doing their jobs. Typical McDonald's- food was alright and the deadly grease ball it formed in my stomach nearly killed me shortly after leaving, but that's not what costed it three of five stars. One is gone because of the flies that periodically flew into my booth, and the other two because the manager personally yelled at me for...taking a picture of the Ray Kroc plaque on the wall. This was after I'd purchased food from the establishment. If McDonald's doesn't want people to see the plaque, then why is it posted next to their entrance? I did this on my way out, and the manager followed me out, presumably to ensure that I wasn't part of a terroristic group of historians fact-checking and photographing McDonald's signs...give me a break. Food was OK on my visit (standard McDonald's fare), but the numerous flies were a bit disgusting. Service was slow.

Ordered a double quarter pounder combo, got home and saw that they gave me a single quarter pounder and put it in a double quarter pounder box. On previous occasions I've had to wait 15 minutes for two fish sandwiches when they weren't busy at all. Also, if you order a fizzy type of soda like a Diet Dr. Pepper only expect around half to three quarters of a cup. When you ask them to make it more full management will tell you to pull up and wait. At this location the employees don't care, the managers definitely don't care, and all corporate seems to care about is their profits. Above all when they screw up don't expect an apology, this is a location that seems to believe that you are there to wait on them not the other way around. read more

My granddaughters and I stopped by yesterday on our way from IOP to Asheville NC and used the drive through. We asked for two cheeseburger happy meals (one with tea one with apple juice), a plain cheeseburger, a large plain iced coffee, and a medium mocha frappe. It took them thirty minutes. THIRTY MINUTES for cheeseburgers!!! When I pulled up to the window and the girl said could you pull into the first parking spot and we'll bring it out to you, I should have just asked for my money back. They finally brought the food with no drink, then they brought the cup drinks with no apple juice. They used the excuse that they are very busy. BS...every McDonalds is very busy. my experience at this mcdonalds varies every single time, but even at its best its never anything to remark on. one time i came here with my father and it took forever to even get served, and even longer to get our drink cups and food. then to get our order and find things consistenly messed up -even though the store wasnt even that busy- was just the final straw for that trip. not a great time. yes, we ate our food and got full, but the experience was so aggravating. another time i came here by myself after a long day of work and was starving. ordered a 10 piece meal and was snacking on fries all the way home. got home so ready to eat my food only to discover they had given me two chicken sandwiches instead. i was so upset. it was a shame bc the guy who served it to me was extremely nice, too. long story short, be prepared for more of a wait time than usual and check your food before you drive away. read more

This McDonald's has become the worst local fast food joint in the general Goose Creek/Ladson/Summerville area. They're slow as molasses, get your orders or charges wrong nearly every time, get combative when you question the order, get into disputes with customers and generally have zero care to do their job. Having said that, there are two people that stand out as being great with people and really almost make up for a lot of the garbage you experience by showing their care, smiles and efficiency...almost. Unfortunately they're not always working, which leaves you with the entitled, selfish, rude and careless people that give horrible service and that includes the manager that I have a picture of playing on her smartphone while I and several others waited nearly thirty minutes for our food. read more
