I have never had an experience like this from any restaurant before, never mind McDonalds. I arrived at my local McDonalds(567 Lynnway, Lynn, MA. 01905) at 3:38am. When I went to place an order at the drive thru, I was told they were closed. I asked what time they were closed until since they did not say(24 hour McDonalds). The woman over the drive thru speaker said until 4am. I then pulled over to a parking spot. At 4am, I went back to place an order. The woman then stated that they were closed for another 10 minutes. By the time I placed my order and was at the window to pay, it was 4:22am, 44 minutes after I arrived at the 24 hour location. Upon going to pay, I explained to the woman at the window what had happened. She told me that she arrived at 4am, and I was lying. I run my own business, and would never say that to a customer, never mind I was not lying. I asked if there was anything they could do, even a free hashbrown for having to wait 44 minutes at a fast food rastaurant, advertised as 24 hours daily. I literally have never received such an attitude and was told no, and was told once again that I was lying. Sorry, but I don't really feel the need to lie about wasting the better part of an hour waiting for a simple breakfast. I have literally never been treated in such a way at any establishment. This is inexcusible to say the least. read more

Customer service is terrible. A customer was asking for a refund for her lemonade cup (which they charged her $3.09 .. a cup is a dollar and some change, any size.) and the worker gave her back a bill. Having the worker given her the wrong amount of change back, she was asking her to give her the rest and she continued to ignore her for about 15 minutes straight. After the worker gave her the right amount of change back with some attitude, the customer left and as soon as she left the worker went to the back talking shit about the customer. Having said, the worker called her a bitch and a crazy lady, calling her names which is very unprofessional. (She was bad mouthing the customer loud enough for me and including the rest of the customers inside the restaurant to hear. She was doing this for about 5 mins.) I also ordered a large Sprite. They handed it to me and it tasted like sparkling soda water. I asked her to refill it with a different concoction and she have me attitude making me feel upset. The food took about 15-20 minutes to come, the wait was also unprofessional, probably understaffed. Sloppy ass food making. The McChicken wasn't even wrapped around the whole sandwich! Have been coming here for years. They've barely if at all, messed up my order. Drive through it pretty smooth for the most part but can get long certain parts of the day. Can't go wrong with the grilled or fried McChicken sandwiches. Fried are bomb when fresh. Will always come back for more! read more

Me and brother went through drive thru at 11pm. We stated that I was making a order now and my brother made a order online. The worker on the intercom said rudely only 1 order per vehicle. we thought she didn't hear us clearly so we were going to clear it up at the window. We got there and told her the situation. She said you have to go around and order again. I could see the order on the counter. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. They messed up my order and told me I had to go around the drive through again to reorder. That wasn't happening, I left and spent money elsewhere. Keep in mind, the restaurant and drive through was empty. And the lady at the window had such an attitude. I will never go here again and definitely don't recommend it. TOP TIER FAST FOOD. I love McDonald's! It is reliable and filling. It always gets the job done. My favorite thing to order are french fries (hopefully they're fresh!) and chicken nuggets and a McDouble. y u m. I also love their hot fudge sundae. McGriddles are probably Earth's best creations. Okay, so, I want to preface by saying this review is in comparison to other McDonalds franchises - not comparing McDonalds in Lynn to Del Frisco's in the Seaport. I live on Revere Beach, so I've been to this location many times. I'd say on almost every visit, something has gone wrong. Here are my tips to surviving McDonalds in Lynn: 1. Do not use the Drive-thru. They will mess up your meal and you'll have to park, come inside, wait in line, and then have them forget about you. 2. Do not come here if you're in a hurry. My quick visit for breakfast on the way to the airport turned into a 30 minute wait just to get a McGriddle. 3. Don't just check the bag for the correct number of items. You have to physically unwrap each sandwich. Otherwise you'll get burgers with no toppings and sometimes no meat at all. 4. Learn Spanish. Seriously, you'll get better service and they will be able to enter your order correctly. 5. Bring a gun. It's Lynn. read more

SCAM ALERT!!!!!!! THE SAME FEMALE CASHIER PURPOSELY HAS GIVEN ME WRONG CHANGE BACK ON TWO DIFFERENT VISITS! First time was a few dollars short, no big deal. I told her and she immediately gave me correct money back.. odd i thought, no manager? or anything, but i got my money back didnt think anything of it. BUT my past visit my total was $3.76, I paid with a $10. She ONLY gave me $0.24 cents back! Nice try. If you wanted to pocket $5 at least give me my dollar back. I said to her I gave you $10. WHICH was even printed on the receipt too. She then asked for the receipt, closed the window and then a few moments later handed me a crumpled $5 and $1 back. I placed an order on the mobile app for pick up on Tuesday. The app wouldn't let me modify an item so I knew I'd need to go through the drive thru as well to purchase something separately which was okay, I've done it before. I pull up to the drive thru and say I want to place an order and that I have a mobile order to pick up. Once I pull up to the next window the young man working was polite and said unfortunately you'll have to drive around twice to pick up the order. I've never had an issue before but I also avoid this McDonald's typically, so I agreed, grabbed my first order and drove around. My app unfortunately crashed on my way around and the lady asked for the code to pick up, I explained that the app crashed but I gave my name and offered to show her the email confirmation. She said no it has to be the code and after about 3 more minutes of explaining that i will list everything I ordered, show the email and give my name she just said no I don't do that. So I went inside to speak to someone else and grab my order that I already paid for. I explained what just happened to another lady and showed her my email and she started ringing me up for the items on the email receipt. I told her I already paid, the order is placed and I notice it was still up on their screen. Finally someone said "oh that's your order, it'll be done in a minute." She grabbed my ice cream and I left. I drove about 4 minutes away to my house and my fries were cold, my nuggets were hard and and my sandwich was cold. I ordered 30 nuggets for the 5 of us to share and I there wasn't a single sauce in the bag, which I should have known better but I was aggravated when I left and didn't think to check for sauce. This McDonald's consistently doesn't give sauce like it comes out of their paycheck. Usually I'd just go back but the nuggets were hard anyway and I just moved to the apartment and spent the day building furniture, I really didn't want to go out again. Let's be honest. When you rate a McDonald's on yelp you are not rating the food. The food at all McDonalds are going to be basically the same and everyone knows what it taste like. That is probably why McDonalds has so few ratings here- there is simply no need for it. My review is based on customer service. The Lynnway McDonalds used to be excellent in regards to customer service, but as of recently it has really stunk, especially after the latest renovation to "service of the future". I realize there is high turn over at McDonald's, but I have just been consistently disappointed, so I figured I would at least write about my latest experience. I had downloaded the McDonald's app today, which offers coupons. I had tried to buy a signature crafted sandwich and get a free medium fries and drink with the coupon. The girl at the register was adept at taking the order, but couldn't process the coupon, which requires scanning it. First, she gave me the wrong scanner to use. While I was waiting for the coupon to be processed at the wrong scanner, I asked her if she had eaten the new sandwich yet and what her thoughts were on it, trying to make small talk. In a very snide manner, she replied "I don't eat McDonalds". That isn't comforting to the customer, in fact, it felt condescending because I WAS eating at McDonald's. Once she realized the scanner was wrong, she gave me the scanner connected to her computer to use. She still couldn't figure out how to process the coupon. I tried to explain to her what the coupon was for and even tried to show her the coupon on the app, which she didn't want to try to read. She then said that the coupon wouldn't work because it was a new item on the menu. Anyone with basic business understanding knows that is precisely why there is a coupon for it; it was new. People need to be enticed to try new things, hence the coupon. She was trying to skirt out of needing to process the coupon, and essentially told me I was wrong for trying to use it. She then tried to charge me for the full meal price (fries and drink in addition to the sandwich). I asked if that was the price for just the sandwich, just to clarify because I made it clear I was only interested in buying the sandwich as per the coupon. Appropriately, she then called over the manager who was able to deal with the coupon with no problem. While we were waiting for the manager to come over, she was visibly irritated with me. Once the order had been processed, that was it. It wasn't busy. There wasn't a line of people who needed to be taken care of behind me. A split second to at least apologize for the attitude or the "inconvenience" of not knowing how to use the McDonald's app at the counter would have been nice. Unfortunately, this is the straw that breaks the camel's back. There are many other McDonald's to visit. The Lynnway can have all of its fancy new upgrades to the building, but something tells me customers care more about customer service than the way the building looks. read more

I stop here occasionaly when in a rush and have had dependable and quick service. Easy on and off the Lynnway. Typical McDonald's fare.

I wouldn't expect much from a fast food chain, but this place needs to work on a lot of things. I actually prefer the one on Boston Street to this one, their service is a little better. Horrible to the point one of his employees and a fellow customer commented his shitty customer service being unwarranted and uncalled for. Went to McDonald's with my wife ordered a grande Mac meal first off the woman couldn't speak English or understand it . I had to repeat my order multiple times before she could understand what I wanted and afterwords still didn't get it right . I pull up and they tell me what I ordered they no longer have in stock. I was not compensate for the difference in cost of my order that I payed and what I just had to get stuck with because of poor managment inventorying . Also the food was slapped together so poorly I could have thought my 6 year old made it not a payed employee.
