The fat manager who wasn't even wearing a McDonald's uniform is incredibly rude every single time I come here. This has to be the slowest McDonald's in Mahopac. After spending $36 on food, I simply asked for a cup of ice. Instead of providing basic customer service, he told me, "Ice ain't free," and tried to charge me $2.35 for a cup of ice as if it were a drink. That is ridiculous. This location is always slow because this manager spends more time joking around than actually doing his job. When you try to speak with him, he's rude, disrespectful, and acts like helping customers is an inconvenience. It honestly feels like no one has ever taught him what customer service is supposed to be. I have ordered from this McDonald's location both on the mobile app and in person on the drive-through line. They never get the order right. They put cheese when you request no cheese, they leave out items, they charge you for things that aren't in the bag. I've called the restaurant, you get a song and dance from some barely literate fool. They screw up your breakfast order, and then when you go back inside, breakfast is over so there's nothing to do not even a refund. I've messaged McDonald's corporate, they never got back to me. Everybody who works in this place has a bad attitude, nobody seems to give a damn that they're not doing their job or that they're taking money for services that are below standard at best and nonexistent in reality. I've said it before and I'll say it again, if I owned this location, I would be ashamed to put the key in the door in the morning. They told my husband someone else took it and there was nothing that they can do because they made the food???? Wtf is that? They sent my husband away with no food or no money! Never go there! If you are a coffee drinker you will understand this review. McDonalds spends millions in their test kitchens. Their formulas have been tested over and over again to be the perfect product per McDonalds standard. That said tell me anyone please why so often does a McDonalds team member all across the State of NY think it's ok to start a pot of coffee and fill your cup then continue to brew that pot? Am I the only one that keeps catching them do it as I'm at the drive thru? I don't care how busy you are. Do you put a raw burger on a bun because you are busy? It's a 3 minute wait. There is so much bread on both the Big Mc and the Quarter cheese that you can barely taste the burger and they put way to much salt on both. Wow it is hard to lower the bar any lower how do we do this. Somebody just put money into remodeling the place, new staff, and you would think this place would be better now, but that's what you get for thinking. The paint has just dried and the place could not seem more "Off". I have been to way too many fast food restaurants, way too many times. I know a disappointing one when I experience it. By far the worst 10 or 12 experiences (Because there are so few options in this area, thanks Westchester for the Massive fees and taxes!) I have ever had at any single fast food joint is this one. Oh and Prices! What is the deal? Am I paying for this remodel? Sure feels like it. Reasons it is just painful to go here, On many occasions we noticed the fries tasted like some kind of industrial solvent was in the oil maybe? or something and ate a few bites and told each other here you taste it, thinking what is that I am tasting? It did not taste like delicious French Fries, We knew we had wasted good money on way over priced fried potatoes that we now had to toss so hopefully we don't die from ingesting. The drive thru is experiencing issues too. How many times can you hand the wrong bag to a customer? They must have set the record here. I have heard the car in front of me grab $9 worth of very basic minimal stuff and then I order $27 worth of stuff and get the $9 bag of mystery and find out much later when I drive 6 miles or more in slow moving traffic before I realize (I ALWAYS MUST check the bag first at this place or I WILL regret it!) Happens all the time over and over. I have talked to them about it, but nope they keep doing it. To me it is a problem if they can't fix these kind of issue. Service is not going to be the best we know what we are getting in a fast food drive thru so the bar is so low you have to really step in it to take it any lower but tah-dah! So all I can say is I could not be more disappointed. With No options like you would typically experience in a normal community we have a sparse handful of places in the region unless you are willing to travel 45 mins to eat for 3 mins and spend 3 times the national average to do it, but this is where we live. So for me to have so few options it pains me that the one here is not like the better ones I have experienced in the past I just wish the folks in charge would try to be the best. I ordered a classic chicken sandwich at the drive thru window. After an unusually long wait I get to the pickup/payment windows and the lady there tells me it is $13.66. I ask why a classic chicken sandwich would cost $13.66 and she starts giving me a list of items that I purchased. I told her that all I ordered was a classic chicken sandwich. An obvious language barrier causes mistakes in orders often, however the food is usually spot on (for McDonalds that is). Service is usually medium to fast which should be expected, i never really have any complaints about the food. I think that is the point though of chain restaurants, to have that consistency from store to store. Parking is easy. My major gripe with this place is the language barrier. one crispy march afternoon i went to McDonald's with my friends. Did i mention it was st. patricks day? Of course the popular "Shamrockith shakith" was popular around that season. Then, i set my foot into what i thought was the best mc donalds EVER. Then i placed my order for 3 medium shamrock shakes and 3 medium fries. then the lady told me the divesting new she told us "sorry we're not making them anymore". i turned to my friends all sad and did i mention i never had one before. all i wanted was 3 shakes not 1 not 2 but 3 is that so hard to ask for and also they took to long to make my food and i had a very trashy day. The Puerto Rican manager steals from the owner. Every single time I get a Diet Coke she gives me no receipt and pockets the money and does not give me my change. The owner needs to get new management. To go into detail, this has happened over 100 times. She pockets 100 bucks plus change. One time I ordered a large drink and a plain patty which is 1.63, she took the two bucks and placed it under the register. I waited for my change, which she did not give. Finally I asked her for a receipt. She then proceeded to yell at me and said she gave me an extra patty so I needed no change. She is losing the owner business. I came in for a happy meal for my son and she wasn't even checking me out but made sure to let me know she would only give me the Batman toy which my son said was the only one he had.
