The Bedford Diner is a quaint place shoved inside a cookie cutter kind of structure with a menu, the size of which would make those cheesecake guys blush. It looks like they do breakfast all day. That's always nice. I thought I wanted a sandwich, but the menu really did overwhelm me. I considered the 1/2 sandwich & soup option, but then it took me so long to find the soups that I didn't have the energy to go back and find it on the menu. So... I got a bowl of Matzoh Ball & noodles soup and an order of Disco Fries. The soup was very good - not "homemade" great, but quite scrumptious. The Discos Fries were boring with very little gravy and two slices of provolone on top (I'm assuming provolone). What little gravy there was got soaked up by the waffle fries, so the dish was literally dry. Service was adequate and friendly. I will say the restaurant attracts a wide variety of ages and clearly a locals joint.

Ambiance is nice, but my fish sandwich was mid as hell. My sandwich was not hot all the way through and fries were also very mid.

I didn't eat here much growing up as it was overshadowed by its cousin down the street. I was craving a sandwich for lunch and something came over me that prompted me to peruse their menu on uber eats. As a vegetarian, BK's impossible burger is always an option and thought that might be best bet to save a few bucks. I was shocked to find out that a veggie burger club from here was about the same price. I might live a few extra seconds because the veggie burger club here was LEGIT. The veggies seemed to be super fresh and they did not skimp, they were stuffed into my sammie. There was no description so I was rolling the dice with my selection but I was very pleasantly surprised to see that they managed to squeeze some avocado in there. I haven't tried the fries yet but they look solid. The sandwich is so good I felt compelled to not waste any time writing this review. I will definitely keep this place in mind.

This is my favorite go to meal . Seasoned broccoli with grilled pork chops. Will is a great server. He has a great memory. He is always on point when it comes to ordering. Very peaceful environment with easy listening music. Nice and clean restaurant

I came here with my family around 10am for breakfast. It's a very classic American diner. I had two eggs, sausage, toast, and substituted fruit for hashbrowns. The food was decent, as was the service. It looks like they have a pretty extensive menu. I'd definitely come back!

$19.41 for a 3 egg omelet and NO sides. Basically I got robbed... never again.

Prices are insane!!! Came in for a to-go order this week. A veggie omelet, NO toast, NO hashbrowns. Total? ... take a minute to guess... 3 egg omelet with no sides... total $19.41!!!! Almost 20 dollars for 3 eggs and some veggies! Honestly I wanted to walk out, I'm sad I didn't. With prices like this, I will never return. Omelet was fine, but not worth half the price.

My grandparents, my sister, and I stopped by for lunch, and I was beyond excited. I love this restaurant and everyone is amazing there! I got my usual steak tacos and a diet coke. I got my steak tacos with a side of guacamole and sour cream. They even had my favorite kind of hot sauce available. I asked for mozzarella cheese on my tacos and it was melted on top. They were very attentive when it came to refills and they were very hospitable. I also feel a sense of home whenever I come here because I've been visiting with my grandparents for almost 30 years. I'm always happy and excited to come back, and there's always good food to look forward to. I always stick to the same thing, which is steak tacos, but they're so good that I can't imagine not ordering them. Kudos to the chef and our usual waitress who is always there and great at what they do.

Arrived later in the evening and hadn't had dinner. Bedford Diner was just up the street so three of us went to get a late meal. Great that they were open and the service was very good. One coworker had a sandwich, one ordered two entrees and I had a salmon filet on a salad. Salmon was cooked perfectly. No one was raving about their food but we all thought it was fine. I bet they have a great breakfast! Felt like a place with a lot of regular customers. Very homey.

As a Lehman person, this is our go to for casual dining. The staffs are all super nice and friendly. They created an intimate ambiance. All the foods are great. They have long menu but I didn't really had anything bad there

I give the good marks in that regard. Cleanliness. It's a nice space, and clean. I used the restroom as well. Certainly looks like they take the time out to keep the place presentable which is not something all restaurants do so it should be noted when you see it. Minuses: Noise: The architecture of the space with its high ceilings is such that it's very loud. This is not the kind of place you go for a quiet meal. It wasn't that every table was occupied when I was there but the noise level was quite high. Honestly, it depends on your preference. It's not a matter of it being bad so much as warning you in advance. Prices: The food was okay. I had an omelet. It was adequate, nothing more. The thing of it was that it was a $20 dollar omelet. In that case I expect them to bring out the hen and show me its pedigree. The food was good, not great, not bad, simply good. I can't really say anything other than that. Given that it's Katonah it may be that it caters to a clientele that doesn't have a problem with that but again, it's not a bargain. Overall, I enjoyed the meal enough but I likely wouldn't go back simple based around the price point.

So when work brought me to Katonah, my first move--before coffee, before common sense--was a full sprint to Goldberg's. Let me say this: the experience was equal parts exhilarating and comforting... like running into an old friend who still makes things the way they're supposed to be made. I went for a sampler of my personal classics. The everything bagel? Phenomenal. The chew, the texture, the flavor--it transported me straight back home. The scallion cream cheese was easily one of the best I've had. If I had a complaint, it's that the bagel leaned a bit heavy on the salt. And yes, I did the unthinkable and left some of the outer layer behind. I know. I'm not proud of it. Next up: the chicken salad and coleslaw--my deli litmus tests. The chicken salad was a strong 9/10--again, just slightly salt-forward--but still excellent. The house-made coleslaw? A full 10/10. I would absolutely come back and eat a gallon of it without hesitation or shame. Now... the heartbreak. I ordered a Taylor ham, egg, and cheese on a hard roll. I understand this is a bagel establishment, so maybe the roll isn't the star of the show--but this one was tough, crusty, and pretty lifeless. But the real offense? What I received was not Taylor ham. Not even close. Some kind of regular ham situation was happening, and to make matters worse, the sandwich was barely filled. As you'll see in the photo--it felt borderline criminal. That said, the service? Outstanding. Truly. Everyone was friendly, professional, and welcoming. They treated me like a regular even though it was my first time in, which goes a long way. All in all, I'm really glad I stopped in. It absolutely scratched that homesick itch for a real bagel and deli experience--and more importantly, it reassured me that places like this still exist. Next time, I'm sticking to the bagels... and ordering that coleslaw by the bucket. By the way, it earns three stars compared to its other New York Metro local delis... This would be a 12 star establishment in the north west corner of Connecticut

It was literally the only place I could find on short notice with reservation slots available, which maybe should have been a sign (and certainly a reminder to me to be much more proactive about this sort of thing in the future). This was sort of a meet in the middle for us; she's in Redding, CT, and I'm in North Jersey. Common Grounds is located at the end of a strip mall, though arguably a higher-end one. The parking lot was VERY busy and while spots were relatively easy to find, I had to settle for one further away close to the bowling alley next door. All good though in that regard. The first hint that this was going to go downhill happened almost immediately. Despite having made the reservation for 11, our designated table wasn't available for seating because the prior party was "lingering." There wasn't a time limit on the dining parties so it seemed like Common Grounds just made assumptions on when people would leave, which is probably not an exact science on the best of days, and certainly not on a day where you might have a family reunion element. We were offered a large high-top table to sit at instead, which my mother isn't comfortable with, and after a few minutes of sitting there, were instructed to take a "normal" table by the window. I will give props for the hostess reading the room in that regard and doing what she could to give us an optimal seating situation - the wait and miscalculation wasn't her fault. She was also very nice to my mother, which for sure counts for something. It took probably 15 minutes for our waitress to come by and ask for drink/food orders, which isn't great. I'd decided on the Blueberry Lemon Ricotta Pancakes from the Specials menu, only to be told by the waitress that they were no longer available. I then had to quickly pivot to the French Toast from the regular menu, but lack of availability is something that should have been mentioned when we received the menus, not while we're ordering. And it wasn't even noon - a little concerning. I don't know if it was just a bad day behind the scenes, but it took over 45 minutes to get two pretty simple brunch entrees to us, and almost as much time to get our beverages. That would at least be understandable if the place was packed and everyone was busy, but that wasn't the case - a lot of tables emptied up within 20 minutes of our arrival, and in a pretty troubling optic, most of the front-end waitstaff was literally just standing around by the coffee station not doing anything. That's bad management, and could have helped alleviate whatever was happening in the kitchen. You have five minutes to kill? Okay, stop by your tables and apologize for the delay. Help bus and turn over the recently vacated tables. Maybe refill my water glass, which was empty for most of my meal. There's just no excuse for that. And it's a shame because my Cardamon Rose Latte was excellent, and the French Toast was very good as well. French Toast isn't one of my go-to's, but when I have it I prefer it to be softer and not as cumbersome, and this fit the bill. But because the wait time and overall service was mediocre at best, I didn't even want to go near a dessert menu or consider having a second latte - that probably would have tacked on another hour. So by virtue of not being attentive and efficient, Common Grounds left money on the table. A real shame; and frankly, surprising to me given that this has to be a very notable day on the calendar for brunch places. I'd ensure everything was well-oiled and ready to go, and it's clear it just wasn't. I overheard quite a few people outside singing the praises of this place, and I saw enough to probably understand why. But we weren't the beneficiary of most of those qualities.

The menu(s) had a wonderful selection of food and drinks, along with some specials. They do use a QR code for their menus, but noticed they also had paper menus upon request. Our server was friendly and attentive. The other members of staff would also check in as they passed by. My boyfriend enjoyed the PB & J Latte along with the creole shrimp Benedict. He said it was seasoned well, right level of spice, stated the eggs were poached perfectly, and really enjoyed how moist the cornbread was. I indulged with the "Tipsy Palmer" which is an Arnold Palmer with Bourbon in it. To be honest, there wasn't much of a bourbon taste to it, if any at all, but for a summer brunch drink, it was refreshing. For my entree, I chose the chicken Caesar sliders. To be honest, I was a bit disappointed as the brioche buns seemed a little on the stale/stiff side. The homemade caesar dressing was delicious, but they only coated the lettuce in it which resulted in a bit of a dry slider. I believe the sliders would benefit from a bit of the dressing at least on the bottom of the bun. I asked for (and received) a side of the dressing to bring home to dress up my remaining sliders. Lastly, and I know this is extremely minor, but the silverware was placed incorrectly (knife and fork reversed with the knife edge in the wrong direction). Again, I am WELL AWARE this is minor, but for me, sometimes the minor details are the things that stand out. Overall, a wonderful experience and will try them again at a later date.

There was a lot going on throughout, including awesome live music, hot apple cider, farm store filled with gourmet products, multiple food vendors, pumpkin cheesecake tastings, and of course the vast orchard where all the apple trees were, which were all located uphill. There were over 10 different types of apples, such as Mutsu, Evergreen, Macoun, Snapdragon, and Honeycrisp. I mostly collected the more unique kinds. I also managed to locate the Pear trees, way behind the hay riding area. I picked Asian and Bosc pears. We went on a hay ride, which was $5 and it was rustic, bumpy, giving a sweeping view of the beautiful orchard grounds. Back in the main area, we had lunch. By this time, lines were pretty long, so we divided and conquered, as well as found a place to sit. I shared Pork Ribs and Fries, which were both very tasty. The Ribs were delightfully tender and well seasoned. Fries were perfectly crispy. One draw back was that most everything at the store and most lunch items were quite expensive.
