I tried standing at the counter asking for help because I was having trouble ordering using a promo from the app. The old woman (manager maybe?) working behind the counter visibly told her coworkers to not to help me while she also ignored me and glared at me. After I had already brought it to my car, they came outside, took it back, and told me it wasn't mine. I showed them my proof of purchase and confirmed that I was at the correct location, but they claimed they had not received my order due to a system error. I was told that my payment would be automatically refunded. Hours later, I noticed the refund never appeared, so I called the store for clarification. Instead of resolving the issue, I was suddenly told that my order had been "sitting in the back" the whole time and that I could come pick it up--this was almost three hours after my original pickup time. I explained that I was no longer in the area and was working late, so I needed a refund instead. While I was still speaking, the employee hung up on me. When I tried to call back, my number had been blocked. This experience was unprofessional and unacceptable. Right when I went to their drive through, an extremely unwelcoming employee with a terrible attitude took my order. From the moment I pulled up, the service was rude and dismissive. since I was traveling through, I remembered their $1.69 any size soda. So I decided to order through the app. Easy to order and I'm glad there is no minimum as I've never ordered just the drink. I ordered a large orange Fanta $1.69. At the the order really nice and was asked to proceed. Got to the window was happy to see my orange colored drink the window as it was one of the warmer days in the Bay Area. As I was passing over 880 I that straw into my drink. It's been years since I've been to this location, so I forgot why I stopped going. It's because they never have the popular Happy Meal toys in stock. They only ever have the old toys that no one wants. I've even gotten unpopular toys that were months old. Years later, it's still the case. Only 5 days since the release of the Hello Kitty x Yu-Gi-Oh! keychains, and they were already completely sold out. They still have plenty of the Hello Kitty Happy Meal boxes, though. Instead, they're currently selling Happy Meals with the Olympics posters. I had ordered by mobile, and their "sold out" sign was below the counter, covered by the customer standing at the register, so I didn't even know until the kids opened their Happy Meals. They should put the "sold out" sign on their display box of the Hello Kitty keychains that's next to the door. About a dozen other kids there at the same time as us were also disappointed. My job finished up in Milpitas on a Monday night, and I happen to spot this McDonald's in a shopping center near N. Milpitas Blvd x E. Calaveras Blvd. I noticed a steady stream of cars in their drive-thru, even at 930pm. Hey, I've never been to this McDs before, so I got in the drive-thru and ordered a Quarter Cheese Combo, Large, with a Orange Fanta drink. First, my Combo Meal w/out tax was $9.39. FYI, a McD's restaurant in a shopping center can charge more, than a "stand-alone" restaurant. That's why prices differ by location. This was a Combo 2a meal, or the basic 1/4-lb Cheeseburger. It was hot and fresh, so most likely made "cook to order" by the grill. So, how was my food? Well, let's break it down..... Orange Fanta, Large, Grade (3/5): Tasted like an orange Fanta, but not enough carbonation or "fizzy factor." The fizzy factor makes the drink refreshing. A large drink is 24-oz. French Fries, Large, Grade (4/5): Good hot fries. Crisp on the outside, soft on the inside, and lightly salted. - 1-star because the container wasn't completely full. Maybe some fell out, but it didn't seem full when I first saw it. Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese, Grade (4/5): That was a good cheeseburger. Cooked medium rare. Good condiment distribution. The bun was intact and fresh. Wait, what's condiment distribution? When you open up your Quarter Pounder w/ Cheese (1/4-Lb), you see the cheese, ketchup, mustard, onions and pickles right? Those should be spread out, so the customer gets some in each bite. Also, the cheese slice should be melted and cover most of the patty. Drive-Thru Service, Grade (4/5): The line moved pretty quick. I didn't have any problems with unprofessional behavior. No suggestive selling. They don't offer ketchup for the fries. I guess you have to ask. Overall, a good first-time experience. read more

This McDonalds was my late night go-to until tonight. I grabbed a 20 piece McNugget deal and a large Diet Dr. Pepper. I have no complaints about the service, always quick and easy. But my main complaint is that the food or the up keeping of the restaurant might not be clean. I got home at around 12, finished my meal at about 12:15. Now it's currently 1:27 and I have been stuck on the toilet with the worst stomach in awhile(I have Crohn's so I know what bad stomach ache feels like) and it's not letting up. Absolutely garbage location/app. There's been a few times I place a mobile order and the drive-thru is coned up. Guess the app shouldn't say this place is available. Recent experience: Pull up to the window with my mobile order, they can't pull up the order. I tell the lady at the window I'll be back after I order. When I went here at age 8-10, the staff were very kind, like the staff that hears and actually puts in your order correctly with kindness and professionalism, sometimes the staff clean the floor like they actually enjoy it! The playplace had not just tables but also a clean floor, they cooked the food to where my fries were fresh, straight out of the fryer, although food tasted like McDonald's, well because they are an McDonald's, table service was pretty nice, seats and tables weren't as dirty as the other McDonald's, soda fountain worked, and ice cream machine finally worked out of all McDonald's!!!!! read more

Several people were outside attempting to pick up door dash orders and all the employees were ignoring everyone at the doors. This is not the 4th or 5th time this has happened and I'm now don't with it. This place used to be decent as far as McDonalds but the last few months the food tasted old like it was sitting out for a while. Just went to get fries and ordered it well done and they gave me old fries( the residual small pieces of fries). So I went back inside to complain and they gave me another batch and this time they mixed in the old fries with the fries that came out of the fryer. This location was better than the other McDonalds on north Milpitas Blvd not they are the same with the quality of the food going downhill. I will probably not go back to this location again. I have nothing against the staff as I know they are trying their best with what they're working with, but this store needs to go through a remodel/new store design. I think it's the only standalone McDonald's in that area that hasn't gone through the new store design remodel yet. If you were a time traveler, you might recognize this place from the store layout alone. A lot of their systems are broken/archaic. Their drive thru menu has been broken for ages. My cousin was in elementary school when I first discovered that it was broken. Now they're going into high school, and the drive thru menu is still broken. To further add to that, their own employees have told me their systems are extremely slow/outdated. It can barely handle mobile orders, and on more than one occasion they've reported either they haven't seen my mobile order come through, or they continue to charge me despite my CC being charged by the app. When your own employees aren't equipped to handle the demand, that's a bad sign. Also, they struggle to keep up with orders in the drive thru menu. This can be due to high employee turnover, but I've been sent to the curb side parking spots several times even when I was ordering very little. McDouble with a Large drink? To the curb. McCafe drink? To the curb. #1 meal? To the curb. McDonald's has put a lot of thought into the drive thru experience, and to their standards, I'm not sure if this should be on a constant basis, let alone smaller orders (I could understand it more if it was a family order or something). Again, I understand employee turnover is a thing, but if I go down the street to the other McDonald's on Milpitas Blvd or the one on Great Mall or on Ranch Dr, they don't have this issue at all. This review should be a 2 star, but I'm giving it a 3 star just because I empathize with the employees here and I want to continue supporting this location, but it's really hard to considering they haven't made the needed changes/improvements to the store itself. This McDonald's has a rare treasure: a play area for the kids. I love bringing my daughter here so she can burn off some energy and have fun. The place is always packed with other families who appreciate this feature. The drive-through is decent, but sometimes the staff don't talk much. I don't mind, they always get my order right.
