I specially asked that on the cheese burger, I only want the meat, cheese and bun. As soon as I got home, guess what I got. Cheese and a bun. Nastiest McDonald's ever I rarely come to McDonald's but was in need of breakfast before work. I ordered a coffee (ridiculous that they charge $0.35/pump of liquid sweetener) and a sausage mcgriddle. One bite into my mcgriddle and there was a powerdy chalky substance that make me choke because it shot into my throat when I bit into it. It was part of the mcgriddle not even mixed well ! I ripped that part off and continued to eat, thinking the rest would be ok.. nope ! I had the same thing happen 2x more yuckk. And the coffee tasted like coffee bea flavored WATER! my coffee came out to $3.25 which could've been used at Starbucks for wayyyy better quality. What happened? They used to be pretty good. Went there about a week and a half ago, the fries were cold and not very good. Burgers were just ok. I thought it was probably just a fluke. McDonald's is a surprisingly good place. It's superior to the Subway next door. The remodeling now makes it look bistro style. Its photos of the Napa Valley had been replaced with abstract art... now it has resumed its Napa Valley look. The breakfasts are great, as is the coffee. I had a very long week at work, and all I wanted to wind down on Friday night was an Oreo McFlurry. I went through the drive through and the lady who helped me was very unpleasant - it was obvious she didn't want to be there. Anyway, I got my McFlurry and went home. Once I chose what I wanted to watch on Netflix, I sat down to eat my McFlurry, and to my surprise none of the Oreo was mixed in. It was just a bunch of Oreo cookies on top of vanilla ice cream. I would have went to yobelle if that's what I wanted. I thought the whole point of the trademark square spoon was to clip it to the special machine that mixes the McFlurry!? One star for the Big Mac, wow they have changed. It is kind of nasty. Think they use a no name brand sweet pickle now instead of the delicious savory dill. Dry parts on the heavily breaded sandwich. "One" slice of processed american cheese even though there are 'two' patties. Now 4 stars for the Quarter Pounder. Yum! Moist, flavorful and a force to be reckon with. So I just stopped down at the new embassy Mcdonalds recently completed construction on, off Jefferson. Got a cheeseburger, fries and a drink, and you know what was not the least bit surprising or strange? The fries and burger tasted good- just like every other cheeseburger and fries I have had at every other McDonalds, ever. I had to review this place after reading all of its other four or five really extreme and odd reviews. For some weird and unexplained reason this place ( and its review space on yelp ) seems to be a lightning rod for these people, its great, I am going to bookmark just this one review like a naturalist searching for a rare and near-extinct animal, setting out motion-activated cameras in desolate parts of the world. Maybe its built over an indian burial ground, or its place on the Yelp server occupies a yet to be discovered digital Bermuda Triangle, whatever I just want to study their habits. I am hoping some of that true lunacy will rub off on me if I can catch a glimpse of an animal of the epoch- Freakdom. What got me was the sincerity of the reviews. I believe them. Their comments are earnest and I feel are not attempts at sarcasm for laughs or with obvious redundancy. I got a bit choked up when I read how hard one reviewer took the harsh reality of this McD's sub-par fish sandwich. So much so that it seems passion clouded his mind, causing him to resort to using just one type of punctuation mark for all grammatical situations...I was taken aback. See what I mean? If I hadn't ever come across this review I would never have known the grace with which one could achieve such a hopeless and forlorn reaction from a reader with just twenty or so periods. Even if I disagree with their over exuberance its just refreshing to see some people out there are still surprised and enthralled with life's more established discoveries. Update: So we have been coming back to this location for a few months and things seemed "ok". Till last night. We order, pay, and proceed to last window where we are told sorry we're out of strawberry topping. Ok fine. Should have said something at first window BEFORE we paid. But ok just refund us. So tonight I run in because it's late and I just got off work and didn't feel like cooking. Order pay and went straight home as I pull the family's order out it's not even close to being right. But hey they can pick the pickles off right? That's not even the worst part! Go to get the fries out and there is a HUGE clump of brown/black hair!!! Ewwwwww. Gross. So I call down and asked for the manager. I talked to "Cynthia". She says rudely "so what do you want me to do about it" I was like really?! You should not be a manager if you have to say that to a customer. This is not only gross, but the fact she didn't care. She is rude and does not care that it was unsanitary and to be honest she acted like it inconvenienced her to have to be replaced. Pictures don't lie and will be attaching one to there yelp review. As far as the other employees, most who are working on the line don't speak English, and cant read the screens. 9 times out of 10 are order is always wrong. I ordered no. 8 meal (fish fillet). Order taker asked if medium or large and I said whatever is included in the meal. He kept saying medium or large and so I asked if there is an extra charge for large and he saiid it was the same. If it's the same then of course I'll take the large. When it was time to pay, I was charged extra. I complained and then it showed $7.50. When I gave my payment , they charged $8.08. I asked why and they said it was due to taxes. I complained and they refunded me with cash ($1.00 and change). When I got my meal, the lemonade had ice (I asked for no ice). They removed it and when I got it, it was a good thing I took a sip before leaving the deuce thru and it was just water!!! read more
