My 3rd and most recent bbq experience in Napa, Red Rock Cafe is a very cute little shop on the street corner - parking can be difficult, and I was lucky to snag the last spot in the lot out front. The other two people in my party had to park further down the street. It's well decorated and homey inside, with multiple small tables that make for a tight squeeze for larger parties. The menu is quite extensive, and includes salads, soups, fish and more beyond bbq, which was a surprise to me. It was quite busy on a Friday night around 7pm, and almost every table was seated. Service was super friendly, and checked in with us often. I got the ribs, which comes with two sides and a dish of bbq sauce - these ribs were great, not fall off the bone but still tender and juicy, which is what I prefer! I got the cole-slaw which was perfectly crisp and refreshing without being too heavy on the mayo as some can be; and the potato salad was also pretty good. I tried some of my friend's beans - not too memorable, and mac and cheese - which mostly tasted like buttered noodles - not bad but don't expect a super cheesy mac! For the price, Red Rock Cafe is a great deal, excellent service and ambiance, and delicious ribs! I'll definitely be back.

We went on a rainy New Year's Day. It was nice to find someplace open. I had ribs and pulled pork while my wife had a bbq sandwich. Food was very good and the service was great!

A Wholesome Bite with Local Charm This place has been on my radar for a while--it's a local favorite, and we love supporting small businesses when dining out. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was spot on: quirky, cozy diner energy with friendly faces and folks laughing at the bar like it was their second home. That alone gave us high hopes. We came for the BBQ ... and while that part was a little hit-or-miss, there were definitely standout moments. The tri-tip was cooked perfectly--tender, flavorful, and made even better with their delicious BBQ sauce (seriously, I'd put it on just about anything). The chicken surprised us in the best way--moist and full of flavor. Usually an afterthought on a BBQ menu, but here, it holds its own. The ribs, unfortunately, were a miss this time ... overcooked and dry, which stung a bit since ribs are my go-to at every BBQ spot. But hey, everyone has an off day. Pro tip: we didn't know about the salads until after we ordered, but several folks nearby were raving about them. Definitely going back to try those! And now for something you don't usually hear in reviews: the water. We're weirdly picky about it ... and this place? A+ hydration. Clean, fresh, no weird aftertaste. A small but oddly satisfying win. Service was top-notch. Our waitress was sweet, attentive, and genuinely accommodating. We even got a cheerful wave from the chef in the back ... little gestures that made us feel welcome from start to finish. Staff checked in often and made sure we had everything we needed. We ended with a birthday brownie a la mode, which was decadently delicious. And the best part? We took the rest home and it somehow tasted even better a few hours later. Maybe it just needed time to reach its full brownie potential. Overall: A great local spot with charm, heart, and solid options. I'd probably skip the ribs next time, but the BBQ sauce, chicken, service, and vibe are all strong enough reasons to return. Can't wait to come back and explore more of the menu.

Red rock always delivers. Small family owned local spot. My go to here is the tri-tip with aujus and fries. It's like a French dip. Plenty of food if you want to split for two people or if you're hungry, it's all you. The barbecue chicken here is also amazing as well as the ribs. Great beer, wine drink selection. The staff is always super friendly.

The best burgers and salads - I don't eat ribs but they seemed to be very popular! We had burgers and curly fries - everything is also fresh and hot! I had a cheddar burger with guac on it - excellent!! Curly fries shown are a size small and the 2 of us couldn't eat all of them!!

Craved for bbq when we visited Napa. Rib and tri tip hit the spot for us. It comes with 2 sides. I got the tri tip soup which is really good. We also got the mac and cheese, slaw and potato salad which are alright. The one who got our order was accommodating. I like their salt and pepper shaker, different on each table. Very relaxed ambiance.I like their salt and pepper shaker, different on each table.

He had such a positive attitude when we decided to share the egg breakfast and didn't make us feel bad about sharing one entree since we were not too hungry but wanted a little more substantial food before we hit the next winery. I really appreciated how good the eggs were, since I eat scrambled eggs almost every morning at home but our hotel had horrible powdered eggs, and I hadn't had a good scrambled egg in 11 days -withdrawal symptoms. We happen to be in the area and so we decided to finally check them out. We arrived on a Friday afternoon for lunch recently. The cafe is located in a nice area in Napa off the Sonoma Hwy. Parking is accessible in the parking lot outside. The exterior of the red barn looks like your typical classic and traditional farm structure. Inside the nice modern decor is sleek, cozy, and rustic. There are plenty of tables and booths for dine in. We ordered the green eggs and ham, corned beef hash, the Carneros breakfast, and a half a dozen of the Boon Fly donuts. Everything was delicious and hearty. My green eggs and ham had a unique presentation with green lemon leek cream drenched on top. The flavorful cream complements the hash browns, eggs, and ham very well. My nephew said his corned beef hash was very tasty. The Boon Fly donuts were soft, warm, and sweet. The chocolate sauce was the perfect dipping sauce for the donuts. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Boon Fly Cafe. The staff were nice and accommodating. The vibe was warm, family friendly, and welcoming. The price point was fair. The food came out quick and the portions were big. I hope to be back to try other food items on the menu.

They give you an order number, and you then go find a table and they will bring you it. If you ordered a drink after the check out counter you can grab your drink. Here's what we ordered for the 3 of us which was plenty! Superfood bowl $15 (5/5) This was super refreshing. The mix of the cut up, strawberries, apples, blueberries, nuts, coconut flakes, chia, and dried fruits over yogurt and passionfruit honey. I mean that tasted SUPER and wayyy delicious medley together. Pork Belly Loco Moco $22 (5/5) OMG get this! And don't forget to upgrade to garlic rice ($2 more) and add you can add avocado ($4 if you want lil pricey butttt just do it since you are trying to balance out the healthy in this dish). Braised soft pork belly pieces, with 2 runny eggs and fried rice and mix it all up together. Monkey Bread $7 (4/5) Yes, this is what we saw on the counter. Me being a fatty stopped myself from getting extra donuts but maybe next time. You can pull apart the pieces to share. The top had a nice chocolate topping and inside was chewy sweetness. Fresh OJ $8 (4/5) Fresh, so like freshly squeeze thus the high price. Good for you. Large Coffee with 4 shots Americano $5.50 (4/5) Can go wrong with a wake me up coffeeeeeeeeeee Would definitely come back to try the other dishes when were in town.
