Cheese burger was dry and cooked from frozen patty. Cheese was not even melted. Their giant burgers use to be juicy. Not anymore, and the price has almost doubled for less quality. I also bought a whole cheesecake and the graham crackers crust was soggy. There pies have gotten smaller and the quality has gone in the toilet. $27 for a sggy strawberry cheesecake is ridiculous. "Scrambled eggs" sausage and bacon.... Not only did they serve me after 4 people ordered after me. The cook was rude and literally threw my items in my box. They gave me runny/raw scrambled eggs ( I'm pregnant) bacon (not fresh) I didn't ask for. I went back to request sausage. The cook had me open my box and tossed what was on the grill into my box. A three stars because the portion size of the eggs, bacon toast was super small. Salsa was small packets like McDonalds and tasted like ketchup. Couldn't find any utensils. Tables were not clean but there was only two ladies working. Tons of napkins. However the breakfast burritos were huge! All three is us could not finish ours. Came to Nation because the place we were going to, Watson's next door had a line out the door. Because we were from out of town and in a hurry to beat Sunday traffic home, we settled for breakfast at this establishment. If you have more time, I recommend finding something different. Ordered on the nation's app it charged us for the order then said there was a problem, we called the store hopefully to get the issue resolved it then became clear they have no idea how to use the app or have any information on orders placed they then told us there was no manager on staff and they couldn't help they then said so sorry and hung up no answer no action and no food despite the near 70$ charge that we now have to dispute with the bank. Overall nightmare of an experience and it was my first time ordering. The staff were polite enough when answering the phone, but of no help. The cashier, Phoenix, didn't seem happy to be there let alone greet a customer. He preferred to stare the customer down until I spoke first. Ok, I obliged. I start by asking about pies...they had none of the pies I love best from Nations...no strawberry pie, no chocolate pie, no sweet potato pie, no German chocolate pie...just 2 choices of cheesecake and pumpkin pie...so I ordered cherry cheesecake pie (tasted like it had been refrigerated for days) and a cheeseburger. The burger was meh, they just microwave precooked patties. The patties aren't freshly cooked like Nations is historically known for. Luckily I ordered onions rings, they had to freshly prepare those because theyre probably uncommonly requested. Rude staff they all park their vehicles in the 4 or 5 spots closest to the door and nobody inside. The tables were dirty. I'm surprised to see a three-star average for Nations. I used to love coming here when I ate meat- oh man, their giant cheeseburgers are so yummy. Their fries are okay, and the milkshakes are fantastic, like a meal in themselves. The best thing they have on their menu is the pie. The berry and apple pies are my favorites. Finally tried the Nation's burger. I dont recall ever having one or maybe it was a long time ago. A classic greasy spoon kinda place. Got the cheese burger and fries and onion rings and pies to go. The service was friendly at this spot. The ketchup dispenser was broken though for the fries. The bun was ok, I prefer a more hardy bun. Nations has been around a long time so I think it is nostalgic for people. Place has their own parking lot so parking was easy. read more

I come here for the pies and maybe a milkshake. I love every cream pie and cheesecake flavor. My forever favorite is the chocolate banana creme pie. I also started coming here during pumpkin season for the pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin milkshakes. Sadly, that season is over but yeah I have been checking in on it once a year now! They got me hahaha. (The regular pumpkin pie is there year-round.) The biggest issue with this store is that the staff seems to always be 2-3 people max so if you were to order anything else besides the pies, it would take longer than most other fast food joints. Some of the most consistently poor service and product I've ever experienced. I have lived near my Nation's location in downtown Napa for many years, and there has been a depreciating trajectory in both food quality and customer service for over a decade. However against my better judgement, I will still go there occasionally on my lazier days. Today was the last straw. I always try to be as polite and easygoing as possible with restaurant staff due to working in the industry off and on for years. Some of Nation's staff act as though they were feral cats who had never interacted with another person before. They will openly give you dirty looks and treat you as a nuisance. I walked in shortly after the establishment had opened. I generally feel bad about doing this, because I know it's easier for them to have time to set up, etc. After ordering, everything seems fine. I asked for the Breakfast Burrito, French Fries & a Coffee; 7 a.m. I didn't know whether Fries would be offered that early in the morning, but after clarifying French Fries with the cashier, there seemed to be no confusion. $24 for everything before I tip 10% for the to go order. Fine. Eating out is expensive these days. Make my coffee, wait, etc. My order is ready! Sweet. Now I can go back to my couch and ingest way more calories than I actually need. As the rude woman is disdainfully announcing my order, she asks if I want maple syrup. It sooned occurred to me she gave me French Toast instead of Fries, hence the $24 tab. Normally I would have just sucked it up and walked away but after so many bad experiences with this place I had had enough. I politely told the woman that I had asked for Fries instead of French Toast. She in no congenial way told me that Fries weren't served this early in the morning, and grabbed the bag of Toast back from me when I opened it to show it to her. (I didn't want it, but what could they possibly do with an order of returned French Toast?) called the manager over. I was starting to lose my patience. After a brief conversation with her I just told them to keep the money and left. Epilogue: I get home with my coffee and breakfast burrito, happy to at least have something. The rude woman who had made my order didn't even bother to wrap the tortilla properly so I ended up with basically a tortilla filled with stuff that had fallen all over the inside of the bag, and was not even cooked long enough to melt all the cheese. I had to finish the rest of the cooking myself. And that's my sob story. Nation's of Napa used to be the bomb. Unfortunately, it's just another business that has fallen prey to poor ownership practices and shortsighted greed. read more

We both ordered hamburgers and got burgers with cheese on them in different places because the cheese was scraped off. The fry's were like cold cardboard. We got our food after waiting for almost an hour. Well the sauce was Kraft miracle whip, which is so disgusting. September 29, 2021 - 2PM Dropped by here to get same fave pies... It was a big dude (man) who served us and I remember the asian gal who served us last year and even said hello to her... The size of the pie wasn't the same, it was tremendously small but it was fine and we also ordered burgers and fries.. I am a ketchup fan and I want more than what was given to me so I tried to get more from their pump and this big dude stopped me.. I am a f*g customer and for all the fast foods I've been to, ketchup has NEVER been a problem... If you are worried about the consumption of ketchup by customers then get the pump machine inside so nobody can access it... And never talk to a customer like I didn't pay for my food! A few months ago I went to get food from them and I called in to order ahead of time to order my meal and they put the phone down and left it there until I got to the store and walked in. I told them this and they laughed but apologized. I waited a long time for a relatively empty store but it gets a 2 because the food was good and the bathroom was clean. read more

I said I am my husbands still looking but I can order, we asked for napkins and he just hold his hand out with the napkins Order: Cheeseburger with regular Mayo, lettuce and tomato. Chili cheese fries Regular fries 3 egger 2 drinks and a strawberry shake. I sit down and noticed he heard "no tomato no lettuce" my husband says excuse me she wanted lettuce and tomato and he said well that's not what she said & husband says okay is it a problem and he continued to argue. I heard enough and yelled to drop It and stop arguing but nope, the employee continued to argue with my husband over and over. I'm talking 15 mins.. All the employee had to do was stop arguing and talking back not to say he could not defend himself BUT as a customer why should we have to defend our selves if you heard no lettuce or tomato, would you not just say okay no problem we'll add it?? Right?! So he goes back and forth about the customer service and at this point (employee) is wanting to keep going with slick remarks. Oh yeah want my GM sure no problem, you want the number too? He also cooks with no mask and smiled for his picture without it. The ladies were no help, even the one in charge Fatima tried to tell her employee but he did not want to listen... so let me get this straight, you disregard your supervisor and superior, you have no respect for your elders or authority. Just go to another nations and don't support this business, not until the GM and owners get a hold of this location and their employees. This is disgusting and appalling, also he gave us the wrong number for the GM. But we went back inside and one of the ladies gave us the right number. With all the other reviews it makes my think if the GM even cares or the owner. Maybe if everyone stopped supporting this establishment they'll pay attention. Also side note they gave us expired jam, 01/20/21, the food was not good at all! Chili was black Hash browns for some reason were overly big and soggy not good Just irritating that this is what we have as employees, no respect, no customer service. Simply stated, "Nation's Giant Hamburgers" in the City of Napa are very tasteful and the right way to make a great hamburger! Better than Gott's? No, but damn close. Better than McDonald's? Yes. Better than In 'n' Out? Yes. Better than Sizzler? Uh - yeah. The 3/4 Lb meat patty makes a big difference satisfying the taste & hunger.
