I went to this Mcdonald's the evening the power went out in some parts of andover. I understand that they were busy and that it was stressful, but under NO CIRCUMSTANCES would I ever talk to other employees and customers the way the MOD was. I went in the drive through I was scolded to go inside. Once inside, I showed my mobile order and the women I spoke too started giving me a hard time. I switched my order to in-store pickup and eventually received my order. While sitting inside the store, all I could hear was the women who I presume was the manager screaming at other employees and talking shit about the customers in the drive through. First of all it is one of the only McDonald's tat is frequently out of Fountain soda, so whoever order there inventory needs to work on it. Also where most McDonald's you pay $.45 or $.50 for an extra slice of cheese this McDonald's charges $1.29 for that same slice... more than double what every other McDonald's in the area charges! Talk about gouging the customer! This morning there App wasn't working properly even thought on my end it was showing ordered placed and gave me a confirmation number, The manager was annoyed with me because they didn't have it in their system... when I showed her my app and that it was entered properly nothing but an attitude. How about apologize to me for the inconvenience, take a Customer Service class. 5 stars *for what it is.*. It's a McDonald's. Can't beat the $1 any size iced coffee...better and more consistent than Dunks. Food is always hot, and they don't seem to mind modifications at all (extra pickles on a sandwich, no salt on fries, etc). I live in the area, so I find myself coming to this location more than others. I always have a simple order along with a vanilla or when available, Sham Rock shake. When I come during the day no problem. But at night this McDonald's is always broken. I was there 8hours earlier and it was working. Or I come the next day it was working. Just never at night. And I'm not even coming close to closing time itd be like 7 or 8. I want managers to know this is unacceptable. Please please either get the machine fixed or fix these employees. Could you be any less prepared? I can understand why you would be out of an item or two, but to be out of ice cream in a hot night and out of soda amongst other things, just unacceptable. This location was understaffed and closed its lobby early due to this. As a former food service manager I would never allow these items to occur, on the other side of the coin, if this restaurant had these options and the staff just did not wish to serve them I would be more irate as a management member. Chicken nuggets were cold. Quarter pounder was very good, I finished half, then took a bite and a very strong flavor of salt was present, I threw it out. McDonald's is super convenient, for a quick bite, there is huge variation in quality in their different locations. Employees need to care, take pride, in their service. I'm not sure why this is the first review for this location as judging by the looks of it, its probably one of their older locations. Clean but clearly past it's due date to be torn down & rebuilt. This location is also kinda in the middle of nowhere. I'm far from a fan of fast food, however when put in the position to pick one of the three burger joints, McDonald's is my clear choice. They have the most consistency, are usually clean, and by far the best fries. The quarter pounder with cheese is the best choice. read more

What the heck has happened to this MacDonald's! I am a local North Andover resident who used to visit this MacDonald's frequently on my way to work for breakfast, coffee, etc. It got a makeover new facade but everything else has gone down hill!! There are long waits at the drive through and you never know which window to go to (i.e. the "pay here" window has no one there and 2-3 people at the other window chatting). I gave up getting coffee at the drive through due to the long line and went inside to find the new building to be dirty and smelling horribly! I walked right back out and took my business to Dunkin's down the street. More expensive...but at least it was clean. The owner needs to visit this site and have a serious talk with the manager. It has definitely changed...and not for the better!! read more

Restaurant was extremely dirty, trash on the floors, Very dirty unwashed floor with a film of dirt and white salt. I ordered two mcdouble cheeseburgers without onions. The burgers were like small thin hockey pucks that had been cooked several hours before I ordered. The burger only had one pickle on each, standard is two pickles for every McDonalds I have ever visited. The cheese was thrown on the burgers at the last minute and wasn't even close to starting to melt. They were inedible. They were so stingy on the condiments I can only imagine this is being instructed by the owner to save money. This is the third similar experienced I have had at this location and frankly if the location were not a few blocks from my house I would have never returned to this location. I think this restaurant should be investigated by corporate hq to make sure they are following McDonalds standards and are not giving the brand a really bad name here in this area. I wouldn't have taken the time to submit this complaint if I didn't feel so disappointed by the product and service they are providing. My only assumption is the owner's primary business comes from the high school kids across the street so he let standards and quality go by the wayside to save a bit of cash since his clients are mostly teenagers, shameful indeed. read more

I went in today and the girl at the front didn't want to help and when I asked her how is she doing she didn't reply instead she moved her shoulders and shake her head.... when I asked her to call someone else to take my order she said that she is "annoyed" I asked for the manager and when she came I then realized why the cashier was so rude !!!! Today ordered mocha ice coffee only to drive home and find no ice! This place ranks right up there with the MCD's in Chelsea off the Revere Beach Parkway as being in the very poor dept. One of the best; still MCD's off exit 36 in Stoneham/Wakefield. Despite high volume foot and drive through they still excel in all the categories. I had a horrible experience at the McDonalds the other day. I wanted to try the fresh beef quarter pounder so I stopped in. I ordered a plain quarter pounder with cheese and received a burger that was seasoned with something, which made it far too salty. It appeared to be covered with pepper, as well. It was inedible. After having two or three bites, I brought it back. I was offered my money back after being told that they must have put too much of the seasoning on. I didn't want my money, I preferred having the burger remade. I was still eating my fries and apple pie, so I wasn't going to stand there waiting for money. I wasn't even offered a coupon for an order of fries. This is the service that's delivered when you leave a bunch of seventeen year olds in charge of a business. So, I decided to call the franchise owner, someone named Leitz. I was greeted by a cheery message telling me a customer service representative would be returning my call. That was last week. Good thing I haven't been holding my breath. My suggestion is to avoid this McDonalds at all costs. The food is certainly not worth the wait or incredible service level indifference. They can't even get their own terrible McDonalds food right. There are plenty of other places around. They get away with this because they're near the HS. Don't waste your time. read more

Me and my girlfriend went in for a nice lunch and because we were teenagers we were treated like crap. There is a lady there who may or may not be the manager, she has short hair, short, middle aged, and wears glasses. If she does not understand what you are saying she will raise her voice with attitude until you clarify to her liking. One day (today) me and my girlfriend were sitting on the same side of a booth eating our food, and my girlfriend was leaning on me, and she came over and told us to stop making out and snuggling because this was a "family restaurant". I explained to her that she was just leaning on me and we were causing no harm to others. She told us to "sit properly or get out" as if we were 5 years old. If this were 2 adults, the outcome would have been different. As she said all this she was carrying a pack of cigarettes on her way to the bathroom. I am now afraid my next meal will have spit in it. Maybe i should just give up on this place totally. I'm a drive thru guy living up the street from this place. A new facade, new remodel, same old North Andover disappointment.Earlier it was just the facility, food quality and servers. Mild upgrade in food prep/quality/and temperature of finished product-same old disappointing servers. Have been through a couple of times recently. The last time, order taker was told i only wanted a coffee-she repeats the question, i tell her just coffee and a tone of disappointment is clear over the speaker. Seems like 3 idiots involved in getting my coffee-i 'm handed a coffee with a lid half attached-of course i get a half and half all over my hand and forearm-NO simple apology. Evidently these people's vocabularies were stunted and never learned sorry or thank you. BASIC customer terms sadly lacking by most of the mouth breathers at North Andover McDonalds.
