The food was really good but we ordered two of the 3 combos box at around 3:30 and didn't get the food untill 4:15 after asking about it and the server said quote on quote "oh I'm sorry we must of threw it out" & "or maybe we forgot" We also thought that the fries could be a little more crispy and salty. I went here with my son for his birthday dinner. The service was fast, and we ate in. The only small hiccup was that my name was spelled wrong, so when my name was called it took me a while to realize they were calling my name, but everything else was fine. The place wasn't busy when we arrived so we were able to have a conversation and hear each other, but by the time we left it was packed so it did start to get a little overwhelming. The interior is simple and casual, classic fast food vibe, it's comfortable for a quick, easy meal. I love booths so I was happy they had a variety of options. For fast food chicken I would easily give this place five stars. I had Canes many years ago on family vacations down south. Recently this year I was reintroduced and my wife tried it for the first time in Vegas during our honeymoon. Since my family trips down south they have expanded much closer to Maine thankfully with this one being one of the closest. Due to needing to be nearby we decided to swing by Canes before our other stop. Ambiance and overall vibe is the typical fast food establishment you would expect. It was just as good tasting as it was in Vegas, my wife and I believe some of the best fast food chicken. The breading is so good and the chicken itself so juicy. Minimal people inside so we got our food in record time, almost no wait. My wife went with their three piece combo while I got the four piece. The only knock compared to our Vegas experience of canes were the fries could have been salted a little more here. Overall though, if you have yet to try Raising Canes then give it a try! They only do chicken tenders but they do them extremely well! Also can't forget to mention the sweet tea, that is also a favorite of my wife. While I enjoy all tea I often lean towards unsweetened but she loves the southern sweet tea. Look forward to the day Raising Canes finally reaches Maine but for the time being this spot will do for the occasional visit! read more

I stopped in for a quick lunch at the new Raising Cane's. As anyone other than me noticed how narrow the parking spaces are outside the restaurant? Ordering was easy, I went with the 3 tenders meal, which came with fries and a piece of garlic bread. The tenders were very good. Light breading, white meat, moist. IT came with some very peppery dipping sauce. THe fries were just adverage as well as the bread. Next time I will just get the tenders. The unsweetened iced tea was very good. Great chicken fingers! I was pretty excited to see Raising Cane's expanding into New England, now with 4 locations in Massachusetts, including this location at The Loop in Methuen. This new location is 20 minutes from my home, much closer than driving into Boston and Marlborough. They had a soft opening this week and the grand opening was today on October 3, 2023. This place has been hyped up on Google and on social media. The lines here were long, including the dual drive thru lines with vehicles backed up into the main parking lot, about 50 vehicles. There were security and staff directing traffic and staff managing the line in the restaurant. The busy dining area & lobby were open, so I decided to park in the shopping center with ample parking and walk over. There was the line of walk-in customers standing out the door, but it moved quickly. I did place my order on the Raising Cane's app while in line and the mobile order pickup was at the side door foyer. It took about 16 minutes for my order to be all set. The dining room has ample high turnover seating in the cozy space with long communal tables & stools, table seating and booths, self serve drink station (Coke fountain drinks/ice tea-sweet & unsweetened), some community decor, Lawrence HS, Northern Essex College and Merrimack College pennants decor on the walls. The place was of course extremely busy here. I ordered the popular Box Combo ($12.69 plus tax) which includes 4 chicken fingers, crinkle cut fries, cole slaw, Texas toast, one Cane sauce cup, and a Large Sweet Tea (add $0.23 plus tax) with crushed ice. The chicken tenders were very hot crisp outside and soft inside, as expected. The crinkle cut fries were bit soft but still tasty. The cole slaw was wet and had sweet and tart flavors. The Texas toast was soft and buttery. The Cane's sauce is similar to zingy remoulade sauce. There is also an open air covered patio area outside the building where I enjoyed some of my chicken fingers dinner with a bottomless iced sweet tea. I took some home to eat later on. Overall, this experience is 4.5 stars, similar to the Marlborough location. The staff here was definitely prepared for the heavy site traffic and the large crowds of customers for grand opening day. I got my Raising Cane's Box Combo with a Large Sweet Tea, so this made my day. I didn't have to drive too far to this Raising Cane's, and the other 3 area locations are much further away. The staff here did a great job getting orders out. Back in May, when I was at the Marlborough location, I picked the GM's brain about when the Methuen Raising Cane's was opening and he was close with his guess, saying sometime in September. Raising Cane's is also opening a NH location next year in Manchester, where the longtime CJ's Great West Grill on South Willow St stands in 2023, an even closer drive than here. read more

Workers were friendly and the manager walked around to see if we enjoyed our meal. The star of the meal was the cain's sauce for sure. The coleslaw is ok and the toast that comes with the meal is also really good. We can understand how the line gets so long. A girl whom was most likely supposed to be at the counter decided to walk around the work station, trying to avoid any eye contact. She wasn't doing anything. Another guy was loading Door Dash orders in bags. He occasionally would look over but no help. I eventually got his attention and told him no one is trying to take the young boy's order. He didn't say anything but asked the kid what he wanted. After finally taking the order, he went back to wait for his next order to bag. Now I stood there being completely ignored. I've been to this location about five times. The first two times were fine. It continues to get worse. I will never return to this location. Wendy's have better service next door. I had my expectations set low because of the reviews I've been seeing as I drove by. There was only two cars waiting so I ordered some food. Let me tell you something one of the best chicken fingers I've had in a very long time. Each Chicken finger is a half of a breasted chicken in the four piece you're getting two full breasts of chicken the french fries were a little bit soggy the bread was good. The sauce was amazing. Service was horrible - we ordered our food and there was no mention of the soda machine not working. Which is understandable if it was told, however, we were meant to find out ourselves. When I brought it up to an employee, they gave me attitude and told me they were aware. But yet there was No sign. No communication to let the patrons know? On top of that, we waited 40 minutes for our dine in meal, when large parties after us RECEIVED their meals before us!!! We had to alert an employee who "expedited it for us". Once we received the food it was tasty but as a new location that just opened 2023 it was underwhelming. my experience here was so bad it was almost comedic. the line was insanely long, which of course had to do with it being a busy weekend but as i progressed further i began to suspect it was also in part due to the sloth pace many of the employees worked at. i am in no way an arbiter of the idea that fast food employees should be workhorses, but the slowness at which many were working was laughable. after finally making our way to the window to receive our food. we were handed the wrong food (no biggie) which i kindly explained to them. took them like 2 minutes to understand that and another 7 for the food to actually come out. when it did they handed it to me, and then closed the window. i asked them about out drinks and they said, "drinks?". drinks?!?!?!? your restaurant serves every single meal with drinks, i would've had to go OUT of my way to not get drinks. i then had to wait 3 minutes for them to make my drinks, and then finally left reflecting on the dozens of people that day that did not receive their drinks. when we finally started eating after the hour long endeavor the chicken tasted like smoke, as if it had been fried in extremely old cooking oil or something. this is the first review i've ever written for a fast food place as my expectations are never high, but this was so bad i feel it must be documented. read more
