This is my first review I'm ever writing but this is also the worst service I've ever received from anywhere. I ordered online and did drive thru pick up and was told they didn't get my order. I tried to cancel, and it said they were preparing my order. Doesn't make sense. When I went inside I was told I had to pay for my order again which I refused because I had the McDonald's app loaded with the receipt showing proof of payment and was told I could come back and get a refund if it charges me twice. Money doesn't just disappear into thin air so I wasn't going to pay again and I am NOT returning to this location, especially not after this experience. On top of there only being 2 drink options because they were out of everything else, I was told I had to pay extra for an orange juice when in my order, if the employee even bothered to check, you could see I already paid extra on the app for a lemonade. This is the 4th or 5th time this specific McDonald's has screwed up both my order and my charges . Their online ordering doesn't work . Often times take my money and doesn't give me a number or option for curbside ect ect but when I show the manager the transaction and the date and time and so on and so on they say there is nothing they can do. The reality of the matter is that I've never gotten my money back for any of the orders , and none of the other McDonald's have these issues but I'm not driving out of my way just to make up for this in particular restaurants lack of ability or lack of apathy for customers. This McDonald's is the worse in town. They're all so unprofessional. I do DoorDash, they never have orders ready and if they do, it's sitting in the back where I could see it. I let them know I'm there for a DoorDash and they just say "ok" and walk away. They always make me wait for 10-15mins until I have to bug again that I'm there for DoorDash. I don't understand how people could be employed and not know how to do anything! The manager, some dark tall male, is also so slow and makes me wait ALL the time when my order is literally in the back. They just stand and see customers and not attend anyone. This review of this McDonald's location is based of off multiple visits within the last 6 months. The first time I went to visit I tried using the McDonald's app and they wouldn't accept it. I ordered and went to the first window to pay. They told me it was invalid; the manager was rude about it when she told me so I told them to cancel it. I used that same coupon at another McDonald's perfectly at another location that same day..... My second visit was more pleasant. The order process was breezy, but they had me wait about 10 minutes in spot 1 for a McGriddle. The staff I interacted with was very friendly this visit. However, this last time I visited this located I went inside the McDonald's to order my food and beverage. I ordered with no problem and was lucky to even get my shake almost right away. While waiting for my food the manager had walked by the order counter and knocked over the entire stack of table numbers. Receiving food: i ordered deluxe breakfast, and two sausage burrito meals. Deluxe breakfast the eggs for the sandwich were old, burnt, not tasteful, took one bite and spit it out. Sausage burrito was cold. Packaging was ok finally 4 napkins instead of two lol....could of added salsas for the burrito, but that's my fault should of asked. The McDonalds at 225 N Chester has to be the best I have ever been to and I have been to a lot of them, I was greeted by a manager when I first arrived and she continued to help me with taking my order and then she even brought it to my table then asked if I needed anything else as I asked for ketchup she was getting ready to go get it but then she say an elderly man in a wheel chair trying to open the door and she politely asked me to give her a quick second so she could help the poor gentleman with the door and would bring the ketchup right after she was so polite and the after she brought my ketchup she said if there was anything else I needed and I said no thank you and she said ok if there was anything else I needed just to let her know and she proceeded to go take the gentleman in the wheelchairs order she was so kind and polite then she went and bagged his food for him in bag with handles and then she helped him put in on his wheel chair so it wouldn't fall off and then she proceeded to the door to hold it open for him again I believe I heard Somone call out for her so I'm pretty sure her name was Kristina she has to be by far the most nicest polite and respectable manager I have ever seen work at a Mcdonalds, we need more managers like her that make you want to come back time and time again! So Kristina if you get to see this review I am very thankful for you and appreciate the person you are and all the hard work you do and most of all your kindness and the best customer service I have seen in a long time and I hope when I go back you will be there and I really hope you recognized for the great manager you are you give the most welcoming feeling and I am glad there are still people like you. In these COVID times app ordering is a must in my opinion. Here at the North Chester locatio the app ordering dose not work. Since it does work at every other location I visited over the last 6 months does work the problem has to lie at this location, but management is sure the problem lies on my phone. If it was a problem with my phone or app the problem would be consistant with the other locations. Their refusal to address this issue has me using my app deals only when I'm willing to go further to a location that can take my moble order. This limits the times I will choose McDonald's as a fast food choice. read more
