This is honestly probably the best breakfast/brunch spot in town for the food. They have such an extensive menu with different food options for everybody. If you love breakfast foods, you definitely can't go wrong by going here. I always struggle with what to choose because everything is so good! If you have a sweet tooth, the B-N-W waffle which has banana, Nutella, and walnuts for the toppings would be a great choice. The chilaquiles with any choice of meat is incredibly flavorful and one of my favorites on the menu. I also appreciate their extensive drinks menu as you can choose anything from a michelada to a latte. At this specific downtown location, the service is always great. Walking inside, it looked pretty busy. Our waitress told us to go sit at a nearby booth so we went and she brought menus a few minutes later. We never been here so we just picked randomly on the menu! We got their Three Flight Mimosas with Original, Cranberry, & Strawberry. They were pretty good and refreshing. We also got the Banana and Berry Pancakes and made it a combo to get eggs and sausages in the side, the "Hot Mess" which is two pancakes, a waffle, a chicken, French toast, and an egg stacked on top of one another, and potatoes on the side! The food was amaaazing. Shout out to the chefs today because there was absolutely nothing wrong with the food. Seasoning was great, cooked great, it was filling, pancakes were soft, it hit the spot! It's always a struggle to find a breakfast spot that satisfies both me and my husband--he's always in the mood for Mexican food, and I'm always craving a classic American breakfast. We finally decided to try Huevo House, and with a name like that I was expecting both cuisines, but I wasn't expecting the Mexican flavors to be this good! The menu was a decent size--one side for breakfast and the back for lunch. I didn't look at the lunch side, but the breakfast options were great: plenty to choose from without feeling overwhelming. They serve pozole on Fridays and Saturdays and menudo on Sundays. The pozole was full of flavor and honestly one of the highlights of our visit. Thank goodness we finally found a place that satisfies us both! I ordered the Country Benedict and he ordered the Brunchiladas--both dishes were delicious and came in generous portions. We also tried the Abuelita Latte and the Mazapán Latte. Both were very good, just on the sweeter side, so if you're not into sweet coffee definitely ask for half sweet. As soon as we walked in i loved that everything was neat and squeaky clean and absolutely was in love with the Frida Kahlo wall! We were greeted and seated by Crystal right away. Took a road trip up to Bay from LA, was craving something cute,filling, and open early - it was just past 7 am, the Brunch Gods better come thru - Huevos House did not disappoint. We landed here, and so glad we did! We usually are pretty strict on what we eat for the most part, and when we saw this place had slow cooked Birria meat, we knew we found the right spot! Called to make sure place was open since we aren't from this area, yup- open and available to take to go orders. We ordered: BIRRIA OMELETTE 16.95 Stuffed with our signature slow cooked birria and shredded jack & cheddar blend. Topped with cilantro and pickled onions. Served with consommé on the side The portion is super large and generous with the Birria meat!! We were shocked, what a value! Also, (They use butter when cooking this! We subbed the cheese for Queso Fresco!) the Birria meat was pretty meaty and good. Will say we used up every drop of the consommé! Other item we ordered: STEAK AND EGGS 21.95 Certified angus ribeye 10 oz steak with 2 eggs of your choice, and garlic butter. Served with your choice of Hash Brown or Country Potatoes and choice of Toast or 3 Charred Tortillas or Biscuits & Gravy or Fruit. Substitute with Egg Whites 1.49. Add Avocado 2.99 The waitress taking the order (Heather) let us know that we could add different grilled veggie toppings like grilled onions, or grilled mushrooms. And she said it was $.50 each. So we opted for two sides of grilled mushrooms. We chose three chard tortillas, and corn. You can get the wheat tortillas but we are gluten-free. She also let us know that the fresh fruit is hand cut. Our ordered arrived with 3 eggs actually! The server Heather who answered the phone had great energy - she said she loves working there so much and it totally showed! I called in advance to ask questions and place it to go order while we were on the road. She definitely knew her ingredients and even offered gluten-free swaps! I do wish there were at least 1 Gluten free Waffle, french toast, bun, English muffin, sandwich bread, or 1 pancake option on the menu - maybe they could do a test item and see how it does.. but I will say they were super accommodating and use butter instead of seed oil for The eggs and meats, which was a win! She was nice too allow everything to come out on a plate to the table and brought boxes so I could pack up after taking these photos and videos! Definitely happy got to try this delicious place! The inside is super cute too with many walls of colorful artwork. There's a few plants indoors too that really give it a nice atmosphere . There's even a little back area you can eat outside. Tried this place on a Friday afternoon! Lots of parking in the hind lot & it wasn't super busy so there was a lot of seating available. The items on the menu are very reasonably priced & food came out super quickly. My partner and I got the birria omelet with choice of perfectly crunchy hash browns + tortillas (which comes with a cup of consumme on the side with some onions and cilantro) & the churro french toast (which is super sweet on its own! The crystallized sugar on the bread was sooo good. Didn't even need any extra syrup! It's definitely veeeeery sweet, so I would get a cup of black coffee on the side if anything.) First timing coming here, it was overall a nice experience. The art and look is super colorful and pretty to look at for pictures. The first items we tried were the lattes and honestly that was my favorite part the servers make them and they're actually so yummy I enjoyed the horchata latte! The biscuits and gravy I could definitely pass on they just tasted ehh I've had better at a gas station. The breakfast skilett was actually really good and my hubby really enjoyed it, we both loved how loaded it was. I was super excited for the birria Benedict but unfortunately I only ate the eggs and meat, the coleslaw placed on top of the muffin was not my cup of tea (way to sweet) it threw off the flavor for me and the bread was all soggy by the time I got it. The birria could have been more flavorful but it was still good and the potatoes were good too. So disappointed, I really wanted to have a positive experience but it just feels like I wasted my money. The lattes didn't taste like much, super bland, but tasted a lot like coffee not what they were supposed to be. I requested another drink and I got told "they're all going to taste like that." The only reason I didn't give this a one star is because I genuinely don't like to do that with restaurants I eat at, plus I know the manager and she is really wonderful. I ordered the Turkey Club and it was terrible. Their version of a Club is red onion, tomato, lettuce, turkey and a watery mayonnaise. No bacon, no cheese, and definitely no flavor. The bread was old and crumbly, the lettuce was wilted. They didn't even toast the bread. Honestly, this felt kinda like a leftover order that they picked stuff off of and just gave it to me. Wow! We have wanted to try Huevo House for months and we finally did. I am so MAD I didn't come here SOONER. What a spectacular experience! First things first: the little things. Like napkins. They splurge on good napkins. That right there is a plus. Next, friendly and consistent service. Our waitress was attentive, polite, topped off our coffee three times, and I noticed that the staff seemed to recognize the customers, implying that this is a place people come back to. The music is not too loud, the tables and well-placed and it's neat and clean. Finally: the menu and the food. Wow!! A lot of variety, but also an interesting and diverse menu. We came for breakfast and the portions were huge! My husband ordered the El Diablo omelette with beans and a grilled doreado and tortillas. I had the chilango omelette (green chilaquiles stuffed into an omelette?) yes please!) with tortillas and hash browns and they are both items were will reorder. I've been wanting to try this place out so we finally did. It's really cute inside and it's clean. We were acknowledged when we arrived and taken to a table in the back. It's bigger than I thought. It's got cute wallpaper and nicely decorated. And they gave us menus we lookwmed them over and made choices. The food came out in a timely manner and everything was good the salsa and chilaquiles were delicious as was the spinach and mushroom omelet my husband ordered, which came with small flour tortillas. I've been hearing the buzz about this place for some time and even saw them on the news, so I decided to try them out once I heard chilaquiles was one of their specialities. The location is located in a strip mall, in a very crowded parking lot but there is plenty of parking across the street. The ambiance is bright and welcoming. The decor is pretty cool and we were seated as soon as we arrived. Our server quickly offered us drinks, which we selected decaf and regular coffee. I of course ordered chilaquiles and my partner a scramble. The food was prepared quickly and most of the presentation was nice. Chilaquieles were somewhat of a let down. The sauce was bland with no flavor depth. The chips were good, as was the bed of beans. The egg was the star in the dish, cooked as requested. The scramble that was ordered also did not impress. The egg was prepared in such a way that it was "chopped" very finely and plated like a mountain of "stuff" on the skillet which was way too small for the portion size. The veggies were ok and potatoes pretty greasy. The star of this dish was the biscuit and gravy that was ordered as a side. The server was attentive and quick to offer us refills, albeit, forgetting who had the regular and decaf on multiple occasions. I'm glad I came and saw, and tasted, but likely will not be back anytime soon. read more

This experience was completely different from my first one from their Ming Avenue location but to be fair, they had just opened and I believe they were learning the operation of their business. Anyways, the place was very clean and nicely decorated. The waitresses were very nice and welcoming and also very attentive. Their menu which I forgot to take a picture of had a lot of distinctive choices with prices starting at about 13 bucks and their drink menu was reasonably priced. I believe the michuladas were like 11 bucks. I ordered the chicken protein wrap. It was delicious. The only things I would have liked is if they would have added some pecans in the mix for some crunch and maybe a Balsamic dipping sauce. My husband ordered a the Jalapeño pastrami sandwich which was kinda like a play on fajitas. The look on his face when he bit into it told me it was delicious. He generally doesn't like pastrami when it's grilled because it drys it out but he said this one was done perfectly and he believes they used a chipotle mayo on the bread that added to the flavor. One of the things that exciting us was that a cup of menudo was a side option. Of course we had to choose that, it was a cute presentation and of course it tasted delicious. They weren't too shy with the spiciness of it, it had just enough heat to excite the palette. Needless to say, we'll be back and luckily for us, they're in our neighborhood. read more

Where do I begin? Heather was our server today and it was our first time ever at this establishment. Today is my son's birthday and he wanted to try a new place. Heather really made our experience wonderful for this special day. She explained the menu and how they made fresh in house meals. We totally changed our order after chatting with heather about the menu. We are happy she made recommendations and explained the in house sauces and pozole. Heather even made my son a special drink for his birthday. She made a peach green tea for him. The food was truly amazing. The bacon was thick and crispy, the avocado was fresh and ripe. Great ranch and yummy fries. The pozole was in house made with there in house green sauce. The flavor was just too good to describe. We also ordered a pastrami sandwich but sadly we devoured that before I took a picture. That hands down was the best pastrami I have had in a long time. The ambience was wonderful with a large panting of Freda with a sunny side up egg for an eye. This restaurant was top notch. I think we found our new breakfast spot. Came in excited to try their menu. We ordered the class bacon avocado eggs Benedict and the breakfast sandwich. The Benedict was pretty good and the sandwich was good but nothing extraordinary. The hash browns for me were not crispy enough. I would come back to try their French toast but as of now I see nothing super amazing about this place. Sure they have coffee flights and mimosa flights but the bar of the coffee is visible and it's mainly just store bought syrups on the counter. On my drive up to San Francisco, i stopped through Bakersfield, it was about 7 AM, and I realize I was pretty hungry so decided to make a stop off in Bakersfield and when I came upon this place called Huevo house, the lady was very accommodating at the front and the menu had great options to choose from, breakfast is my favorite meal of the day! They had Birria on the menu, which is something that I completely love! So I ordered a Birria omelette, which I replaced the pepper jack cheese for queso fresco, and let me tell you with the consume on the side dipped into it, It was delicious! I also had steak and eggs for later, and it is a 10 ounce steak with three eggs and for the price of around $17 I will say it was a great bang for your buck! The inside of the restaurant is decorated very nicely, it's very spacious and I love the artwork! For the price, the meal was delicious and very big. I barely was able to fit it and let me tell you I eat a lot! So if you're ever in Bakersfield, I would definitely stop by this location And get some breakfast or brunch! read more
