In these COVID times app ordering is a must in my opinion. Here at the North Chester locatio the app ordering dose not work. Since it does work at every other location I visited over the last 6 months does work the problem has to lie at this location, but management is sure the problem lies on my phone. If it was a problem with my phone or app the problem would be consistant with the other locations. Their refusal to address this issue has me using my app deals only when I'm willing to go further to a location that can take my moble order. This limits the times I will choose McDonald's as a fast food choice. read more

I will start this off by saying I am not a huge fan of fast food and McDonald's isn't my favorite but there are days when ordering an iced coffee without the long drive to the nearest Starbucks is absolutely necessary. That said, I've been to a couple different ones here in town and the location on North chester is by far the one I prefer. Unlike the others, specifically the one on Coffee rd, the employees at this location have proven they're past a third grade reading level and even though I've never even had to have them remake an order, I'm confident that they wouldn't sit there and argue with me about it if I ever did. Customer service is nonexistent these days but the employees at the North Chester McDonald's are a breath of fresh air. So thank you guys for actually doing your jobs and doing them right, I wish others in this town could follow suit. read more

Stopped by this McDonald's the other night after a party... It was a few minutes after midnight... The car I was in tried ordering chicken nuggets, filet o fish and several other fried food options that are on the menu. We were told by the drive thru gentleman that this McDonalds doesn't do filet o fish or nuggets after midnight. When asked why, the man replied, "store policy." I thought it sounded kind of "fishy." Well, since half the menu was unavailable, we drove off. Ended up at another McDonalds in the downtown area where we were able to order and receive everything we wanted. Called corporate the following day... It was not a store policy at that store but more an employee not wanting to do their job. Had lunch here. The food felt hot but tasted like it had been warmed up after sitting for a while. The meat is always old and the chicken nuggets are ALWAYS over cooked and taste like they're cooked in old oil. The fries were soggy and stale and had like no salt on them. My soda was flat and had maybe 5 ice cubes. Totally disappointed and that's all aside from their terrible customer service. They're rude and the manager is no help. Sometimes I wonder why I bother with reviewing a McDonald's that is completely, totally, and unequivocally normal. But in the name of being thorough, here goes nothin'. The downshot on this location is that it's not in a great neighborhood. Those of you familiar with Oildale know there are spots that are better than others, and this one is only okay because it's bright and there are other fast food restaurants nearby to keep the area in plain view. There are always a boatload of homeless folks and bus stop "living" humans, which is unfortunate, so I'd probably recommend taking the drive-thru if at all possible. As far as food quality and employees go, it's not bad, really. They forgot my drink last time I went there, but otherwise, it's fine. 3 stars for the McDonald's as a whole, but dropping one star because, frankly, I didn't feel all that safe getting out and acquiring my food on foot. There were vagrants even in front of the door and bathrooms. I know it's not nice, but someone's gotta move 'em a little farther away. Located on the corner of Roberts Lane and N. Chester Ave. I average coming here about once a year. This branch is the standard McDonald's. The food is consistent with what is to be expected from the chain. Customer service is always inconsistent from location to location. This particular location, the service has been okay each visit. Nothing great and nothing bad. Cleanliness is fine as well. Just not too crazy about some of the rude and pushy panhandlers hanging outside from time to time. I always love McDonald's food. It's a weakness, but I'm addicted. I recently moved and this is the only location that's reasonable to drive to. Unfortunately, I've rarely had a good experience here. In the dozen or so times I've visited, I've received the wrong order, been completely snuffed by an employee, and been frequently disappointed with the food itself- you've only got about a 50% chance of the fries not being cold. Additionally, it's in the middle of the ghetto. Almost all of the patrons are very sketchy, and it's not somewhere I feel comfortable visiting after dark. Let's start off with no matter how many time I try to give this play a chance, the mess up every single time. Today, me & my boyfriend went to go get food. We told the lady in the speaker that we wanted 1 McDouble, then she said okay.. Then we told her we also wanted 2 McDoubles plain and a medium fry. When we got to the second window, we were missing my regular McDouble and the first girl didn't charge us for my McDouble. I only come here when I'm broke & don't want to cook. The fries & sweet ice tea is about the only 2 things I really enjoy. Tonight they went too far. They are supposed to open until 10:pm. Sunday night. At 8:30pm I went inside to order and they asked me to go back outside and go through the drive through because they were understaffed. I was burning gas in the drivethrough for over ten minutes. Also they never ever ever include ketchup. I have to ask for it every single time. Everytime I come here they take forever because they are having some sort of problem with the equipment or they are understaffed. This was the last straw. Jack in the box is down the street. Too long; didn't read at bottom. This is probably one of the worst McDonald's in the entire city, and probably even the state. None of the employees are friendly at all. Even the managers do not greet you or even try to be friendly. I don't expect the world, but not even a hello? You don't have to love your job but the least you could do is be friendly to your customers who haven't caused you the least amount of trouble. Not only do the employees want nothing more than to see you drive or walk away, the food preparation is at its best, below average. Out of the five or ten times have visited this establishment, either half of the cheese is on the wrapper or half of the condiments are all over the side of the burger. Every time I tell myself it's ok, they'll do better next time but they are pretty consistent with the below average. Maybe it's just because I usually come 2 or 3 hours before closing but this establishment never ceases to amaze me with the quality of customer service and food preparation. I hate going to this McDonald's and avoid it most the time. My husband wanted a soda and the drive thru was to long so we went in. An employee stood in our way so we could not get to the counter to order with out going around all the tables. She stood there talking loudly to another customer, less than two feet away, yelling where is your baby daddy multiple times. And then when it was our turn to order the employee yelling, distracted the cashier to help her get her personal belongings behind the counter so she could leave for the day. Service is horrible and they allow the homeless people to come in and fill their dirty cups up at the soda machine and sit inside disturbing the paying customers by asking for money.
