Florentine eggs Benedict, banana loaf French Toast, and stuffed berry French Toast
    Katherine D.

Our waiter never checked in on us after giving us our food. Not many waiters passed us for us to get the chance to ask for syrup soo had the banana loaf french toast pretty dry. 20 minutes later our waiter was present and asked if we were doing okay. We asked then for napkins and the waiter said they had ran out... I'm sorry but a diner/restaurant ran out of napkins during brunch time on a Saturday??? Make that make sense. We were really looking forward to a good time and were disappointed. The food was good but due to the service and overall experience, there are better places downtown or in town to spend a morning or brunch at.

First and last time to this location. I'm nostalgic for the Tina Marie's that burnt down on Chester Ave. This location leaves MUCH to be desired. Like, attentive service or an atmosphere without flies. Took a while to even get waters. The feel here isn't cozy or welcoming. It's dated and lackluster. The print is so small on the menu it's hard to read, and after a glance over it and seeing nothing that was appealing, we decided to just have a Bloody Mary and eat someplace else. Didn't even know they served bar drinks such as this until a server passed by and mentioned it, but said they didn't have a drink menu. My husband was upset that the Peperoncino in his Bloody Mary was super small but other than that, the drink was ok. Probably wouldn't return, I wasn't crazy about the vibe served up here.

Tina Marie's has been a downtown staple. Now that I'm back working in the area, she poses as another option for lunch bites. Unfortunately, the original location caught fire a few years ago. The location on 19th is still within walking distance. The cafe offers the small town feel. Came here with my friends for lunch after a cool hiatus. I usually choose salads for lunch but the Club Sandwich was calling my name. Their sandwiches come with your option of sides. I chose the clam chowder which did not disappoint. It was rich, creamy and just enough saltiness that satisfies the tastebuds without making you feel heavy. The sandwich itself was nicely prepared. Bread nicely toasted, fresh tomatoes and lettuce added freshness. The bacon was thick and the mayo did not overpower the sandwich. The bottomed layer was ham and middle sect was a stack of turkey meat. American cheese provided a bit of creaminess to cut through the meat layers. Satisfying lunch eats. The service was a bit lacking in the beginning as we waited a good ten minutes waiting for our orders to be taken. However, once we did get orders in, the food came out in a reasonable time so we were able to enjoy without feeling lunch rushed.

    Breakfast Burrito and pancakes.

We arrived to eat somewhere new because me and my sister just got done shopping at the flee market not too far from here. We got sat down. I could tell the ladies were busy but that was okay because we were still looking at the menu lol. After a while of looking at the delicious looking food, we settled down on two breakfast burritos and a short stack to share. The ladies were super kind and understanding. The food arrives really quick and it looks DELICIOUS. And I was correct. It was was delicious. The sala tasted fresh and the burrito was nice and warm. The pancakes where super fluffy and delicious. As we finished the check came and we payed. For me and my sister it was cheap! Usually it comes out to 40-50 dollars. It was only 30! Pretty cheap and delicious. I will be come back here.

We like Tina Marie's. The staff is super friendly and seem genuinely happy to work there. We were seated right away. It was a Sunday around noon. We ordered chicken & waffles; Spanish omelette and chorizo/egg scramble. I also had hashbrowns and a biscuit with gravy. The Spanish omelette has tri-tip and a lot of veggies. The meat was tasty but a little chewy. I did like that I got some avocado and sour cream. I asked for salsa and that was a great add. My hash browns came out pretty dark but they didn't taste burnt. The staff was running around doing a lot. I think some things got left cooking too long. My biscuit was great and definitely home made. The gravy was good. The iced tea was perfect!! TM's is a great place to meet friends for breakfast or lunch. Their portions are large enough to share. They are open daily from 7-2.

This place is amazing. It's so lively I love the decor. The food is just off the charts one of the best chicken fried steaks. I've had anywhere ever. The staff and service is great. They have so many goodies to eat and their menu is fantastic. I highly recommend this place.

I love coming to Tina Marie's, not many places in Bakersfield have a hot sauce bar. But one thing puzzles me, why would you serve pancakes on a wooden cutting board? When you put syrup on them it becomes a mess. Sure it's an interesting presentation but what's the point? Please stop!

Solid local brunch favorite , not many veggie options but I found a decent omelette. Full meal w potatoes and bread options. Dining room full of 4 seater booths , waitstaff is very friendly. Wait times seem reasonable when I visited.

    Chicken something and clam chowder.

Went for early morning hike. I'm 3 hours away from Bakersfield. Hungry and sleepy. Finished their 2 non-sugar coffee mug at the end. Yay! Jay was very helpful. She let me know that she would take a photo of me if I finished my order. Yep. I knew that I screwed up. Boxed up half of the order. I usually don't have American breakfast, but the food was great and nicely seasoning for people that sweat out a lot. Ambience is relax and slow pace in the morning. Food comes out very fast as well. Appreciated!

I've been hear twice now and it never fails at making me happy :) they have an uplifting energy and yummy menu. I like their daily specials they offer but their chilaquiles are my go to! No e unfortunately! Lots of families and such a big place. A very nice spot to catch up with friends or spend time with loved ones.

This is another place that I've been told about for years, but have never gone. My mother and sister in law met us here for brunch recently and when I entered I was immediately happy. Their Xmas decorations are gorgeous! I imagine they change out the decor seasonally but this makes me want to come back and see what they've got. There's parking right next to the restaurant and a parking garage which you also get 2 free hours if you eat at Tina Marie's. The restaurant is centrally located in downtown next to all kinds of cute shops and boutiques for that walk you're gonna definitely need after getting full! We had the best waitress. She made me feel like she was one of my friends. She helped me with a couple menu questions, was very friendly, and kept our table happy. My group of 7 throughly enjoyed our breakfast items. I will definitely come back to try the lunch.

Last year I made a large reservation for about 10 ladies to celebrate someone and on the way to the restaurant they called to confirm the reservation (about 30 minutes before), but I did not hear my phone. When I arrived, a distraught friend told me that they did not have our reservation so I asked what the issue was. The manager told me because I did not confirm, they were not sure they were going to hold the table. I apologized that I had not recieved a call, but asked if we could still have the table (I was there on time and could see the large table with the reservation note on it). The manager begrungenly said they would allow us to still dine with them, but they said they would not seat us until more of our party arrived. I asked if we could wait for our party at the bar, but they said they would not because every seat at the bar was taken. So just a heads up, you cannot stand at the bar, you cannot stand around the restaurant, and they do not have a place to sit and wait for your table, you just have to stand outside (I'm sure it has to do with safety or firecodes, I didn't argue, we waited outside until people at the bar left). Once we were seated, the staff was not friendly. Wondering if we should leave or not, I called a friend who works near the building who frequents this place often on what I should do. He told me to go back inside and that the staff would be nice. When I returned, a new server came to our table with a tray of shots and said they would be taking care of us for the rest of the evening. I figured maybe the manager and that other server was just having a bad day, my friend must have called the restaurant and asked his most trusted server to help us, and enjoyed the rest of our evening. I didn't want to risk it another bad experience, so I haven't returned since. A few months ago during the whole Cesar Chavez news broke out, that friend who frequented the place went with another friend to the Botonist and was talking about the news while they were dining. The manager overheard. Later when my friends were getting ready to leave, the manager started becoming upset with my friends and told my guy friend, "I HOPE SOMEBODY R*PES YOU". Stunned, he asked her to repeat herself and she did. My friends left. The chefs and building are wonderful, but obviously something needs to be done about the management and staff with being professional and treating customers with respect. I've worked in the service industry and understand how stressful it can be, but I have always been able to keep my cool around people who are trying to enjoy a nice meal. Hoping they recieve the help they need as I love to see my community thrive.

As the pecan butter melted over the top, it created the perfect rich sauce, and the crunchy pecan bits scattered throughout the pancakes gave every single bite an amazing texture. Our waiter spilled an entire tray of iced teas and waters next to/on us, and then left to change his apron and serve other tables while we sat dripping and ignored for nearly 15 mins until I had to flag someone down to help us clean because my shoes were soaked through and the liquid river continued under our table (he handed me a few napkins until I insisted on an actual mop, which he obliged with an audible sigh). Someone finally put down a wet floor sign, and considering all the elderly diners they didn't seem concerned about the giant puddle in the walkway that went ignored. I don't care about the spill, but just apologize and clean up - don't disappear and then come back only to announce that you're going on break. This beast is loaded with a chile-spiced beef patty, pepperjack, sharp cheddar, thick-cut bacon, chipotle mayo, pepper relish, pickled jalapeños, and a mountain of fried jalapeños + onion strings. It's exactly what it sounds like, crisp, refreshing lemonade with a perfect herbal basil finish. The Verdict: If you loved their old spot, the new location takes everything to the next level. Between the upgraded atmosphere, the dessert-like fries, and that refreshing lemonade, I will absolutely be coming back here again and again.

I immediately noticed that my favorite dish, the shakshuka eggs, was no longer on the menu. Thinking it might just be a seasonal change, I decided to try something different. I ordered the carrot ginger soup, beet and goat cheese salad, and my usual favorite cocktail, the Pear Necessities. The cocktail was the first disappointment. It tasted completely different from what I've come to enjoy, none of the smoky mezcal flavor and none of the sweetness from the pear liquor that made it a favorite. I figured it might just be a new bartender and tried to brush it off. The carrot ginger soup was just okay. I found myself searching for both the carrot and ginger flavors, neither of which really stood out. The beet and goat cheese salad was fine, but it's hard to get too excited about a salad. Overall, the food felt subpar compared to what I've come to expect from Moo Creamery. The restaurant itself was also surprisingly loud, making conversation difficult and adding to the overall frustration. It was hard to get our waitress's attention throughout the meal, and service felt disjointed. The most disappointing moment came when we noticed my son's chicken strips and fries sitting on the counter for 13 minutes before they were finally brought to our table. By then, it was difficult not to question whether the food was still as fresh and hot as it should have been. We came in excited to experience the new location, but between the noisy atmosphere, inattentive service, and food that didn't live up to Moo Creamery's usual standards, we left feeling disappointed. Sadly, I probably won't be returning. It's hard to justify giving it another try when there are so many other restaurants in town that consistently deliver quality food, service, and a better overall dining experience.
