I'm less a fan of fast food in general recently and the trend at places isn't helping. They all have gone downhill. Perfect example is recent visit to this location on a Friday. They were reasonably busy and the drive thru seemed insane. I went in with family as we were in a hurry and of course everything inside is falling apart. Sadly some of it, well most of it, isn't the workers fault. Clearly they are understaffed but the equipment and systems aren't helping either. Wendy's app of course doesn't work. Two phones and two separate accounts and simply won't let you check out. Go to counter to order and try using coupon and of course guy complains that it has been really slow and not working lately. (This is normal at all Wendy locations btw.) Finally goes through. Paying was no better. Couldn't get credit card reader to work but after three times finally worked. Systemic issues all the time. Finally get food but of course tables dirty and overflowing (literally) trash containers. It just is bad and I see no signs of it getting better because they are busy and struggling. I hear all the time that places can't keep people but no wonder. Small staff, terrible systems that can't keep up! People get mad in these situations and take it out on these people who lack proper equipment and training and help. At the very least remember some of these kids/people working here want to do good but don't have the tools and try not to take it out on them. Send your comments here or to their corporate people so maybe they will finally hear. As it is, I rarely do Wendy's which is the worst of all besides maybe Arby's but when in a pinch and a need to stop it's maddening to see this. I used to like their food but almost doesn't matter how good it might be just can't handle the poor service any longer.

The staff was okay, but we got home after ordering the food and ordered a large fry, which was the size of the medium half. The fries weren't in there. For the price of the food, they should definitely be making it correctly. And how can you mess up on fries? Really! When the waitress brought his meal out she said she was waiting for him to cut into the steak to make sure it was to his order. Good thing because it was the rarest piece of meat we'd ever seen! Raw inside! She took the steak back and had them put it back on the grill (her words). Unfortunately when it came back out nearly 20 minutes later after the rest of us had already started, it was still barely medium rare! She offered to take it back and put it back on the grill (again!) but he was so frustrated he told her to leave it and he'd take it home and cook it himself. Sadly after cooking the next evening the majority of the meat was either fat or gristle so the 10oz steak ended up to be about 3oz of edible meat! We've been to other restaurants where an entree has been l poorly cooked, etc. and in each case the restaurant has always comped the meal. The salt in the wound was the waitress only offered to comp our dessert (just my husband and I!) Instead of rightfully comping the $28 meal they comped a $4 dessert. Our experience wasn't bad enough to keep us from going back but we'd definitely recommend to the restaurant that, if they're using a special menu they should've made sure to advertise that or let us know when we made reservations. Additionally, in an obvious screw up like this, always comp the meal!
