I usually use the drive thru for this McDonald's but I discovered to come for my first time dining in! First, this place is actually nice and clean. They had music playing and it's like classical music. They have fountain drink station which I miss from the Arcadia and Monrovia ones! The seating area is designed very differently but it's nice to enjoy a meal in different chairs and tables and I saw a couch! The wait time was the only issue. The place got really busy when i went and it took longer for my order to be rat compared to the other McDonald's. They are so busy that once your order is ready, they leave it and walk away super fast! I tried to ask for a straw but they didn't hear me so I got it myself. Food it decent and consistent, so I enjoyed the food (McNuggets and fries), but they didn't give us napkins and given how hard it was to ask for a straw, I didn't ask... Parking is decent! Plenty of parking in both sides of the restaurant. Two lane drive thru makes ordering confusing sometimes so make sure to wait and talk to both windows because they might tell you to not slip windows 1! read more

This McDonald's is truly a jewel. The atmosphere completely surprised us--in the best way. Classical music playing in the background, modern and comfortable seating, beautiful lighting, and game screens that kept the kids entertained. It made my husband and me reminisce about our own childhoods in such a sweet way. On top of that, the customer service was superb. Some of the staff also wears gloves. There are some hand sanitizers available for customers to use. While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Everyone greets you with a smile, and several team members checked in to see if I needed anything. Well as you know my experience my review. I don't really come to McDonald's often since I don't eat at fast food chains often. Sometimes I may just go because I run out of time and grab a bite before work. So I decided to come here on Thursday night for a quick meal. After waiting in their drive thru line for what seemed like forever (6 1/2 minutes) I finally ordered and when I ordered a drink which was what I really wanted, I was told that they were not serving any sodas. No explaining just simply they had no sodas of any kind. This McDonald's is really one of the worst. I often come here for coffee and they always forget something. The person that delivers to my car is always nice. However, not sure who wears the visor but they're not very knowledgeable. I ordered hash brown and realized only when I got home it was missing. I called and they said to come back, but then they told me there's no more hash brown. I drove all the way back for nothing. She asked if I wanted fries. I said if you can compensate with something else for me driving all the way back. I would take a coffee which is only $1 on the mobile app. She said no. So I said I'll take a refund on the hash brown. She then takes my entire bag and said I would have to get a refund on the entire thing. How does that make any sense? Then the cashier asked if I needed a refund and asked if just for the hash brown or the whole thing. Like duh?! The other girl within minutes gave me a refund for the hashbrown. Teach you staff. Im not sure if the app is really an improvement. This location is a bit mixed in terms of consistency. I ordered a breakfast through the app in advance and did drive thru pickup. They asked me to wait in the parking space. I watched every car in drive thru and every other car that was parked receive their order and leave before someone came and asked what my order was. Went thru the drive thru use the wrong code and the attendant for the drive thru won't not change the code, and stated it would take 15 minutes to place in another code, suggesting I goes thru the order or wait for 15 minutes to order. I went inside and use the self service which accept my code and order. I don't know if she was lying but to wait 15 minutes to reorder at a fast food place seems wrong. So I would think she lied. I placed my order using the app only for one coffee and when I got to the window, the girl was giving me someone else's order and then she asked me after I told her it was not my order. I placed an order on the McDonalds app for a Crocs Happy Meal. I went and picked it up using the curbside service. The receipt stuck on the box confirmed the order of the Crocs Happy Meal. When I got home I was surprised to see they had put the wrong toy inside (a Hello Kitty toy). I called them right away and a lady answered. I explained the issue and she said they didn't have the Crocs when I picked the order up but that they just got their shipment in. I picked it up ten minutes before the call so it must have literally just arrived. Anyway, I asked why didn't they tell me when I picked it up and she said the app shouldn't have let me order it. I said it did and it's clearly on my receipt. She apologized and said they would have told me if I ordered in person. I said, "OK whatever, can I come and exchange it for the right toy?" To my dismay she said "No". She said I would have to buy another happy meal. This made no sense whatsoever. I pointed out that they clearly made the mistake and now I am not allowed to drive back ten minutes later (which is already quite an inconvenience for me) to exchange it? She again said "No" and reiterated that I would have to buy another one if I wanted that toy. I had a mobile order for a Diet Coke and fries. The employee was very nice. However, she was unable to communicate in English to tell me they were out of Diet Coke.. I figured out what she wanted to communicate and she asked me if I wanna coke , o told her no. I requested a refund and was hoping she understood after 10 minutes of waiting for my refund. I went into the store and the manager was being snarky with her, gave her the money, and she saw me and she handed me the refund. there's a phone number to call the restaurant and it goes to a fax machine. Don't ever come here if you expect to have decent customer service. I've been nice to be able to communicate with corporate however, you cannot call McDonald's and when you email them you got zero response. I know it's hard to find employees these days but you still need to train your employees some level of customer service. Please educate your drive thru cashiers especially one lady who worked on 2022/12/12 around 6am. It looks like she's a morning shift drive thru cashier. I think it was her last time too that I had bad customer service at this location around 6:30am. I know it's hard to wake up and start your shift early in the morning but at least you should not yelling at customers simply because not providing you a promotion code through the speaker. I have been coming to this McDonald's on Foothill Blvd. in Pasadena since before 2017. One of the nicest things was they has electrical outlets for your laptop or charging your phone. Tonight I went, and every outlet had a cover. I asked 2 different workers about it, and they said they used to have that for customers, but they don't now. If French fries are $4.19 - I think you can let me plug in my phone or laptop for 10 minutes? I guess it's back to Starbucks for times like these.
