I personally don't eat McDonalds very often because of all the crazy news lately about it but after snowboarding, my sister and I were so thirsty that we decided to make a pitstop and grab a drink. We only went in to buy a sweet tea. So what I like about this location is that the sweet tea - you can get it yourself. Theres two sections, one is non-sweetened and one is sweetened. My sister and I don't like things too sweet so it was perfect for us to mix half and half. We slurped a good amount, refilled it and then left the place. Not a lot of places have this option where you get to mix half of it. Some places they make it for you in the back area, making it super sweet and not only that, they put way too many ice! So what I didn't like about this place was that I think they need some renovations done here. Some odd reason, but the sign outside was in green? I thought McDonalds was suppose to be red. I know they turned things green for awhile because of the whole environmental "GO GREEN" type of idea, but it wasn't a good turnout. I think they should change it back to red. The place looked really old and dirty, making it no appealing at all. But then again, this place is close to the mountains and campsite area so there's no point in making it look super nice. This is an easy stop from the freeway to use a clean bathroom and grab a quick bite to eat. I stopped by on my way from Los Angeles to the Forever Exotic Wildlife Sanctuary in Phelan for a much needed pit stop after drinking my caffeine and a bottle of water. My passengers ordered drinks. The staff seemed friendly and professional. The restaurant was kept very clean. There was actually an employee patiently waiting for them to finish with the soda fountain to remove the rubbish. There was nothing spectacular about this particular McDonalds. The prices were a bit higher than most. My passengers complained to me about the drinks being almost double what they usually pay. read more

Most people stop by and just use the restrooms, and they're cool about it. It's kind of like the rendez vous point if you're meeting with a big group before going up to mt high. Located on a some what sketchy looking rd id never visit at night, close to the freeway. The lady taking our order was friendly. We asked for fresh nuggets and had to wait an another 5 minutes..understandable I guess. I give them 1 star now because when I opened the bag to eat my food, I found out she gave me HOT MUSTARD rather than honey mustard I specifically asked for! I wish I had looked the reviews before stopping at this worst McDonald's I ever been. Driving with family order around $50 dollars in food and cashier had a really bad attitude, they pulled us over to wait for 10 minutes for our food and I had to go down the car and walk in to get my food just to find out one happy meal was missing, they were sure i only order one but I left receipt in the car had to go back to the car and come back and show them I paid for 2 happy meals not just one - then had to wait for another 10 minutes to have it ready. My fast food took us about 30 minutes finally to start eating and just find out my food was not complete, by that time we were on the road. Don't you ever stop to this place. read more

First things first. It is impossible to get a mcdonalds employee to get your order correct. There is always something that they miss. Then when you get to the window to get your food. They are very rude. Told me to pull to the side. My order was 10 hash browns. 2 fries. And 2 cones. I waited over 20 minutes. My order came. EVERY time I've been to this McDonalds, no matter what I have ordered I end up getting sent to a reserve spot to wait for my food(fast food?)... Great quick stop when going over the Cajon Pass on the way to Las Vegas. Plenty of parking always. Hey, this is McDonald's, when you come here you know what to expect, some people gave this a low rating probably because there are always so many people here that it is not always tidy. I stopped here on my way from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe. When I walked through the door, I had to shove my way through a crowd of people. This McDonald's is adjacent to a Chevron, and these two establishments have the only two restrooms at this particular rest stop. As such, the restroom line was absurdly long. The line for the restroom extended all the way to the front counters. There were almost as many people in line to order food, and our order took about 20 minutes. We noticed that the kitchen prioritizes drive thru customers. This may be a better option, as it will likely take less time and you can wait in the comfort of your car and escape the crowds. This was definitely not a quick stop, so if you're in a hurry you may want to go somewhere else. read more

This is the only McDonald's close to Mt. High. So if you need to fuel up before you hit the slope, your choices are limited; eat here, in town if they are open or pay the crazy high prices at Mt. High just for some cereal or muffin. This is a very small McDonald's, in fact, their parking lot is larger than the building itself. Service is good and the restroom are kept up to a standard. They also have a drive through, figure I state the obvious in case anyone needs to know. Besides that, everything else is pretty much just like the rest of the other McD's. read more

This has got to be one of the most disgusting McDonald's I've ever been in and I've been in thousands around the world. I understand that it's probably one of McDonald's busiest locations, due to it being one of the few places on this stretch of the 15 FWY, but that should mean they make enough money to update and maintain this place. However, the condition and cleanliness of the restaurant is appalling. There is no excuse for this place to look like this, and the place is still sporting that early 90's decor, which is all torn up too. All I can say is WTF? Seriously?
