After seeing an ad for the triple stack sausage McMuffin, I had to give it a try. It was early in the morning and dropping off a car for some new tires. This McDonald's is big and occupies a prime located right at the on-ramp of Santa Rita Rd. and 580 freeway. Huge parking lot and a double lane drive-thru. There are a couple of self order kiosks. The triple stack stack sausage McMuffin was just as billed several sausage patties with cheese egg in one muffin. The sandwich was constructed well with minimal unevenness. The meal order with coffee and hash brown was nearly $9. This location is busy with the drive thru with at least 6 cars in line, so service is a bit slow. This is undoubtedly one of the most inconsistent and incompetent McDonald's in the area. Disorganized with extremely long wait times and a very high likelihood that you'll have your order filled incorrectly, your food given to the wrong person, or that the food will be ice cold. Management is severely lacking at this McDonalds and corporate does not read any notes from any of the receipt surveys they give out. Make sure to ask for receipts. This McDonalds is notorious for not giving receipts, telling you to pull up and wait in one of the pickup stalls, and then saying that they cannot confirm your order. There is a very short list of good employees at this particular McDonalds, but they simply cannot undo the incompetence of the remaining group. If you're looking to play russian roulette with cold, soggy fries, this is your janky spot to stop right off the freeway. If you've got a hankering for McDonalds that cannot be satiated otherwise, I'd suggest driving to the next one that's like two minutes away or consider picking old McDonald's scraps out of the dumpster for the same culinary and service experience. read more

Thieves... Drive-thru could not get my order correct and so I asked them to cancel it because I decided to just order on my app. When I went to give them the code, they kept saying it was invalid and asked me to pull up to the first window. What I am leaving out is that this took around 10 minutes and there were a ton of cars behind me - they didn't care. It was more important for them to not lose the 15 cents profit off the difference between a large and small Diet Coke - they were rude and lied to me about who was a manager and what could and couldn't be done on the register. When I got to the first window the woman said you have two orders and I said, no, only one. I told her that the first order should have been cancelled and she said sorry, nothing can be done about it once it's rung up (they charged my app). When I got to the food pickup window they refused to give me the Large Diet Coke that was on the receipt and would only give me a small. They then refused to give me my second order. The guy was literally yelling at me to get out of there and that I wasn't getting a large Diet Coke. It's a story I can't tell anyone but Yelp because it's so crazy no one would believe it. Drive-thru manager was rude. I order through the McDonald's App all the time. So, I arrived to the drive-thru and the first worker tells me to proceed to the second window as normal. As i get to the second wwindow, a male employee ask me if I had the mobile order and I say, yes. Then out of nowhere the female manager comes to the window aggressively and tells me I need to pay for it. I was shock on the tone, but I then said, we'll I always use the App and my card is on the app. She then says, "Well, I don't know, but you need to pay". As I'm handing her my credit card, I ask, "well why did the first employee tell me to proceed to the second window?" She didn't have an answer for me and took my card to go pay. We had a post-lunch dessert craving, so we decided to go to McDonald's to switch things up cause we'd been going to boba shops. With St. Patrick's Day only 3 weeks away, it was no wonder that McDonald's brought back their limited-time Shamrock frozen treats collection: Shamrock Shake and OREO Shamrock McFlurry. I decided to order a OREO Shamrock McFlurry cause I liked OREO McFlurry in general, green was my favorite color, plus I'd never tried it. So, why not? This frozen treat was made with their typical vanilla soft serve, blended with what they called a Shamrock syrup and OREO cookie pieces mixed throughout the dessert. The Shamrock syrup was to me a little gross-looking, especially when not thoroughly mixed in with the soft serve, making its kinda-creepy dark green color visible. (When properly mixed, it was supposed to create this beautiful light pastel green color.). But flavor wise, it was fine; it tasted like concentrated mint. It did create a nice combination with the OREO pieces though. I liked it, but I might prefer the plain OREO McFlurry. It contained 560 calories in a regular size, and the price was about $3.50 as of February of 2020. read more

Was just here this morning 3/1/23 at 8:30am Drive thru, very specific to the lady. Number 6 with NO egg and a large orange juice. Once I get to the first window she reads my order wrong so I correct her. I pay and go to the second window. Get told to park on the side of the drive thru. Yeah my car almost gets hit because of that. Then a lady comes out with my food. Still egg on it and forgot my hash brown. I drive to the front instead and went inside. I gave the lady my food to correct. But what I see is, she gives the food to the cook just for him to throw out the egg and then put cheese. This is by far the worst McDonalds management I have ever seen in my entire life. Every single time I come here they mess up my order, give me the wrong order, or old/stale food. They rush you to place your order and then get it wrong or tell you to park for 20 minutes and STILL get it wrong. They make sure to get their money but huff and puff when you ask to get your order remade. The overnight manager at this establishment is the reason why there's such low raising. I guess ownership has no choice because no one wants to shift I guess. Not only does this manager bring an unpleasant demeanor his lack of organization is astounding. He regularly gets things wrong. This is a supervisor he regularly has his time to where he doesn't pay attention and you end up sitting there waiting on him in a conversation at the window. My boyfriend & I have been to this location one time before this recent visit and I would say it was pretty decent. However this time around really goes to show how little effort these people put into their job. Off the bat the person taking the order was not so nice to us & when our order wouldn't pop up on the screen, they just told us to pull forward. The lady at the first window was very lovely & nice. However at the second window it was a 0/10 experience. We received our food, everything was right but when it came down to not having drinks or sauces we got so much attitude. We ordered a large NO ice water where they charged us $1.69! Which is insane, and the lady proceeded to give a large ICE TEA with no ice. When we told her the drink wasn't right & we were missing sauces she proceeded to roll her eyes and handed us sauces and kept raising her voice. When it came down to getting our water she looked clueless & her manager told her in spanish "forget about them and tell them to go. (me and my boyfriend both understood exactly what he said.) I came back today on 11/13/23 and talked to the guy claimed himself the manager (Mexican looking named Daniel Garcia). I too am a man of principal and believe in ethical, truthful, and dependable leadership. When visiting the location at 6800 Santa Rita RD I came across deceptive and unusual leadership. While ordering from the drive-up kiosk, I ordered off the displayed "Buy one, Get One for a $1 Mix and Match menu." Ordering two sandwiches and a soda, immediately I was told the deal is no longer available. I'm thinking, since it was still advertised, I request to speak to management, the person identifying himself as the manager told me that even though the advertisement was still posted and visible (without any sign of an expiration date,) the special was no longer available to customers. After I question the validity of his statement, he got indignant and said there was no advertisement outside and to prove my claim the manager requested I get out of my car in the rain and take a picture of it to prove so... So, I did and showed him at the pay station. The manager was argumentative and still did not want to honor my order, but then I reminded him of his duties to his customer. Actually, It was much uglier than I described and you would think that my effort would not be worth saving a couple buck's for all that? But being a shareholder and possibly saving others that pain... maybe in principle it was worthwhile. This is the closest McDonald's to where I live, so I usually come here when I don't know what to get for food. But today, I decided to come here and just order a Large Iced Vanilla Latte for $2.00 + tax. It's actually fairly inexpensive for such a big drink and that's pretty cool. The drink overall is pretty sweet and it definitely does have the vanilla flavoring added into it. It's not the best latte that I've ever had, but it can suffice for a quick snack if I don't feel like shelling out $5 for a drink at Starbucks or anywhere else. Finally, the reason I gave it a 4/5 was mainly because of the service. The lady who handed me the drink pretty much just slammed it on the table and some of the liquid came out and made a mess. I speak clearly, I am polite, but my patience runneth out for consistently incorrect orders, and snotty glares at the drive up window. The men, the women, just all of them are McMeanies. Sometimes the fries are cold, and they typically leave an item out. Also this is the only McDonald's that we've gotten a FROZEN fry at. We don't even bother going back anymore, it just goes in the trash. Also- exiting this McDonalds is stressful because the first two lanes put you on 580. So, people are making lane changes like maniacs, while shoving quarter pounders in their mouths, and the whole situation is an accident waiting to happen. One of the better and cleaner locations with nicer workers than some other places. Of course their ice cream machine is usually disabled, but I've never had a bad experience here. I've been here a few times since I used to work at Westea and Pizza Guys across the street. They are usually 24/7, depending on the world situation. If you come between 3-5 AM there is a possibility that it will be cash only if they are doing the cash register system reset or closeout or whatever they do. There are 2 lanes for drive through labelled "Any lane any time", and a few drive-thru parking spots for larger orders which works very efficiently! It's always quick! read more
