It is spacious inside with large tables and a friendly, welcoming staff. I had a margarita with my lunch; only one though because I was driving. It wasn't strong but was tasty enough. The beers are mostly domestic with only one micro brew selection but there were plenty of national brand choices. The food was home made and not bad for bar food. I had a Pittsburgh cheese steak sandwich that I thought was good. I ordered it with a side salad instead of fries as I had also ordered the loaded Pastrami fries which came with cheese, pickles and mustard on top. It was a bit too rich and heavy for my taste and the flavors didn't really work well together. Maybe without the mustard I would have liked it more. Not a bad place for a rest stop or a reasonable local hang out as well with some decent food.

They have a really extensive menu and breakfast is served all day. My only regret is I love tri-tip and they have it on the menu but each time I was at a Black Bear they had run out. Admittedly we had arrived very late and I'll assume it's both good and popular since all three had run out. It's worth noting that for breakfast, they have real link sausage as well as other options and the sausage is nothing that grocery store skinless junk most places serve today.
