Do yourself a favor & avoid going to this location. Go to the one off of University Ave instead. After midnight 99.9% of the time they never accept card. You would think they would post a sign out front letting customers know but they do not. I had spoken to a manager & suggested they put one but I still don't see one out there. I lost track of how many times I have waited a while in the drive through only to find out they only accept cash. Tonight is my last! On top of that it's impossible to back out when you have other cars waiting behind you. There have been times they failed to get my order right as well so make sure you check your order before you drive off. Horrible customer service. I recently attended this McDonald's and went in the drive thru with no other cars. This one has 2 lanes and it was empty. I was told to hold on a second but then another car drove up and its order was taken immediately. Finally our turn came but now there was a line forming. How annoying to be first there but last served. Also my happy meal had no toy. Not gonna go here again. read more

Brand new facility but wow service is slow and I couldn't help but laugh because Id always seen the meme jokes on Instagram about McDonald's Ice Cream machines being broken and I actually experienced that today!! Waited in their long drive-thru line for about 15minutes, when it was time for me to order BAM a handwritten sign stating "no ice cream & shakes". Since I'd been in the drive-thru for so long I figured ok don't want to leave empty handed let me pick up some apple pies for the work crew. Once I got to the Pay Window their employee was quick to say "sorry all out of apple pies, it's a 12 minute wait, do you still want the order?" . I was on my hour lunch and spent enough time at their drive-thru and had to go back to work so my response was a sarcastic No.. I have a good sense of humor about things, they caught me on my good day I just had to laugh about this whole experience but today McD's failed on timing, lack of inventory, and service. The drive-thru service is honestly very disappointing. I've tried it multiple times and always leave with parts of my order missing. From the very beginning things started off bad. While I was ordering my food the employee spaced out or something and stopped taking my order until I called out "excuse me?" Very unprofessional and that has happened twice already. Then my order was missing fries, the sauce I requested, and there was cheese on an order I said no cheese for. Lastly, instead of asking if I needed extra ketchup or anything with my order, they just sent me to the rail to wait and the person who brought out my food just handed me the bag and left. This store is horrible. They have messed up my orders 3 out of 10 times. They make me pull forward every time when there is nobody in line behind me in the drive through to make themselves look good on paper. They advertise they're open 24 hours but they don't tell you that it's cash only in the middle of the night. I called in a large corporate order 2.5 hours ahead and they told me they could not fulfill it because, they weren't set up for breakfast at that time; 70 breakfast sandwiches for 5am. If I could give this ZERO stars I would! I live just around the corner from this location (Iowa&Spruce) so I was excited to see when it went under construction and a sign saying a future location for a McDonalds. However what I did not expect was the PATHETIC customer service and general work ethics this McDonalds has proven to me on EVERY VISIT! That's correct every visit! From waiting in the double lane drive thru while three other cars place their order in the other lane then when there are no cars left and you can still here them asking what I believed was an invisible car if they could take there order I yelled across and told them no one was there but try the other screen before I was finally able to place my order. Then you specifically tell them no receipt is needed yet they hand you your change with a receipt that is like 12 inches long and part of the change drops and you get looked at like its your fault you tried to jam everything into one hand without even looking where you were actually dropping it. Then you are told to pull over to parking spot A because there are already two vehicles in the drive thru lane ahead of you waiting on their orders and while I'm waiting in space A here comes a vehicle that parks in space B. So I watch in my rear view mirror as the other two cars finally get there food so you have to think yours is next and as you see the girl heading in your direction only to go to the vehicle parked in space B just frustrates you more than you are already. finally you get your order and knowing you have had numerous visits here where nothing has been correct with your order you are out of time to check since you have been waiting now over 12 minutes and are going to be late for work so you just leave hoping all is right for ONCE! But once you start unpacking your food at work you realize this is not going to be the case because forst there is no Bar-B-que sauce for the Mcnuggets that you specifically ask for, there are onions on your cheese burgers and the fries are iced like they were in the bag the whole 12 minutes you waited for the other food to be prepared wrong. So you have finally had enough of this place and you call the location demanding a refund only to be told no refunds bt if you bring it back they will replace it for you. This is what I want to do, first complain to an incompetent manager so you can go back to the same incompetent employees she is managing without success so you can get a new order, I don't think would trust what I was given at this point. So I call the Corporate office and complain, they tell me someone will be contacting me, I explain just send me a refund and have someone do an investigation on this location because it is the worst McDonalds I have ever been to in my entire life. I get a recorded message the next day saying she is the head of customer service I thought she said from the riverside location but the message wasn't completely legible but she did say she would try contacting me again. I have never hear from anyone and that call was received on July 12, 2018 and today is August 3, 2018. I was just going to let it go since it is only 15.86 and today I decided okay let me give this place one more chance. Well let be be the first to tell you, nothing has changed. I ordered two hash browns and only received one and my oatmeal raisin cookies were chocolate chip cookies. So I called the corporate office again today and explained that whoever contacted me and left that message never tried again and I specifically told them if it was the manager at that location I didn't want her to call. What I want is my refund from the first complaint and for a thorough investigation on operating procedures at this location because it is pathetic and they should be embarrassed by the way it is representing them. Slow as all heck. So if you want to spend your entire day there, it's a great place to go and I highly recommend it for that. The shortest wait, the wait for a water cup is only about 5 minutes. Order of one frappe drink that never got filled took over 45 min before I just asked for a milkshake instead because they didn't even have the stuff to make the cold brew frappe even though ordering kiosk let me order it. Then the milk was "being refilled" for 25 min on the latte I asked for to replace the frappe which in the end had to be a milkshake that tasted nasty unlike any McDonald's shake I've had before. read more

Probably some of the dumbest people to ever be allowed to handle customers food. Terrible customer service. Everytime I go to this establishment they do not fail to mess up the order. They are complete airheads I order the food no problem I pay then they say wait at the stop no problem I know they're slow. We wait for about 10 min and just see all the cars leave the drive thru line, I walk in and the broad that said to wait was just talking to another co-worker. This is by far the worst mc Donald's I've ever been too. I was excited to have it opening up so close to my job because I work graveyard shift and saw it was going to be a 24hr spot. Ive been to this location at least 18 times since they opened and they have only gotten my order correct twice. The mc double meat is always dry and seems old. Food just never taste the way it does at other locations. One time I actually asked them to please make sure they mark the items with no onions once I got to the window, I got my bag of food and looked for the marked burger and non were marked. When I asked the girl if she could please show me which burger was no onions she took the bag from me and dumped them on the counter and opened them at the window looking for the one with no onions. I was disgusted and asked for a refund( which she didn't want to give me until I asked for corporate number and her name. Hopefully it's just a completely new staff who has no idea what they are doing yet but are learning... until then this location will keep 1 star read more

This location is very convenient but the food is horrible. I will never go to this location again. Today was the last straw. I ordered a sausage egg McMuffin sandwich. As soon as I took it out of the bag it was hard. I had to wait at the window because they said they were waiting on my sandwich. What did I have to wait for an old sandwich. You would think a person who is pushing for $15 dollar minimum wage would be able to count to 10. Been here twice and both times I have pulled my "large fries" out of the bag like the pictures show. Not even 1/2 full. Then these idiots can't even count out 10 chicken nuggets correctly. Both times the food was cold and my orders were not correct. With the attitude these idiots give you in the drive through, you would think at least the order would be correct. I will be contacting corporate about this franchise owner. This McDonalds is definitely not great. Every single time we go there they some how ALWAYS tend to mess up our order. I've gotten fries that also seemed stale and like they were left out for a while. Yesterday afternoon around 12:05 I did a curbside order, I pulled in to #3. Put the number in and sat patiently waiting for my food. I watched several cars go in and out of the drive thru. A couple had to park and wait for their food. At 12:18pm I received the alert saying thanks for visiting Mc Donald's, still no food. After seeing another car pull over and the worker come out with their food, I got out of the car and asked him where my food was. He stated that he doesn't know what happened, he was sorry he would get the manager. I stated it's not your fault but thank you. I went in and the manager told me my food was sitting right here and that she was counting money (really) no one else could bring my food out? She handed me cold food and I told her I needed her to remake my food, because it was cold. Wowww really Mc Donald's? What's the point of me ordering online if I was going to wait longer than the people walking and driving in? And receive cold food with no apologies! Very Disappointed!
