I was craving a McDonald's Diet Coke after an appointment I had in Sunnyvale. On my way home, I stopped by the McDonald's on DeAnza and Hwy 85. I had a deal in the App for a free medium size fries with a $1 purchase. I used that deal and went through the drive thru to pick it up. There was only one car waiting ahead of me, which was great. I gave my code at the drive thru ordering menu speaker and proceeded to the pickup window. The young man handed me my Diet Coke and a small bag with my fries. I asked for extra napkins and he kindly obliged. He politely thanked me and I was off on my way home. The fries were fresh and hot. My Diet Coke hit the spot. I only wished they gave me more ice. It was okay though because my drink was very cold. I probably should have mentioned that I'd like more ice. I've been to this location many times and usually dine inside. The staff have always been friendly and the inside is kept very clean. It's one of the nicest McDonald's in San Jose IMO. I'll definitely be returning, next time I'm in the area. read more

Standard McDonalds in a very good location on De Anza and near 85 in the south Cupertino area. Been here a number of times and no issues. Food is fresh and on time. Not the healthiest but yummy enough in a pinch when there's not much time. Decent value if using the digital app deals, especially on the double cheeseburger or quarter pounder or fries. read more

Came by for a soft serve the other day and it was a lacklustre experience. Parking was plentiful in the private lot and the interior of the restaurant seems to have been recently remodeled. There was a dispenser for sanitizing wipes that was empty. Ordering was prioritized at the kiosk with 4 ordering kiosks. There appears to be an option to order at the counter with staff. The small soft serve was now $2.99, a significant uplift from $1.99 during my last visit. The soft serve was very icy...seemed more like a vanilla icy... The cone was crispy. Lazy workers in the evening. Food is served cold. No customer service, even though fully staffed. For them, it's just social time. Avoid this location. Vibe is totally dmv. I get the feeling they are very miserable and love to make the customers just as miserable & unhappy - I really believe they are very pleased with themselves if they can anger, ignore, & rip off customers. Must be the night managers. It's always a top down vibe/ culture. Daytime employees seem professional though and motivated, courteous. Warm food but 50/50 on the freshly made. If you go inside in the evening, they are great ignoring customers. You might wait at the order counter or pickup for a solid 15 mins. They won't even look at the front counter. Their backs are toward you & socializing with their coworkers. 19/12/2021. 10:45am. This is a true story just happen to me 30 mins ago. I ordered a coupon breakfast burger online, which is buy one get one free, it usually costs me $6.22. However, this time the staff charged me $11.35. I ask them why you charge me the wrong number, the receptionist at the first window said she doesn't know and call her manager right away. The manager said she doesn't know either, and she couldn't do nothing about this order. I said I used the coupon on the mobile order and it should be $6.22 not $11.35. Obviously, it is a mistake made by the receptionist at the first window, but they don't accept that and said they don't care. Really really bad attitude with customer even though this McDonald just been renovated. It doesn't change until you guys hire a good manager with good employees. I banged on the glass since two workers were in the front, but they didn't notice me for like 3 minutes straight lol... Fine, drive thru. I wait for 5 cars in front of me to pick up 1 single coke. It takes 20 min...so my assumption is they are super understaffed. Sure I get it. I get home take a sip and it's DIET coke. F man I don't drink diet coke. So wasted time for a useless drink I didn't want. On top of that, like other reviews mentioned below, it was flavorless. Tasted watered down, and carbonation was almost 1/3 of what it usually is. This McDonald's is simply amazing... immediately once I step inside i feel a shift in the air, different from any other mcdonalds locations... its super clean and no customers, just the fastest kiosks ever and all in working condition. The workers are swift with their work, i step outside for a quick breather after ordering, then step back in, and they're already calling my order number with their sweet voices. not sure what is with these 1.7 stars, their work is impecable and the food job is amazing, soft serve is always working and available ... This place is close to Home Depot which I'm at every day. So I eat here a bit. The fries are almost always soggy. Worse the meat tastes funny, and tastes like like they've cooked their meat long in advance because they're not really that warm and are dried out. Food preparation quality alert! Since it's near my work, I've been to this location about 20 times over the past couple years. Over half the time, the fries are undercooked. Pale to the eye and a bit mealy in the mouth. Today, upon receiving my fries, I decided that I wasn't in the mood to tolerate this and asked for "fries that are more cooked." The middle-aged managerial woman told me that they were fine. I said "No, they're undercooked. I would like fries that are cooked more." She told me that I was wrong, that these were fine, and she reluctantly took them from me. A minute later, she called me back and handed me the exact same fries. She said "These are good. It's the oil." I questioned why we were debating over this and to just give me fries that are more cooked, as I had requested. She refused again and insisted that I was mistaken. She said, "I will give you a refund." I said, "I just want fries that are more cooked than these. These are too light." "These are good. It's the oil. I give you a refund." At this point, I'd had enough and agreed to a refund. As she was processing my refund, I calmly stated that "this is not good customer service." She didn't seem to care or even listen. This is the worse MCD restaurant I have even been to. The filet-O-fish sandwich was way over fried and tasted like hard rubber. The Chicken McNugget was also over fried but not as bad as the filet-O-fish sandwich. Submitted feedback to the MCD website and they did not even bother to respond. There seemed to be some serious quality control at this restaurant.
