Literally the worst McDonald's I've ever been to in my life. Two fish filet sandwiches came with ZERO tartar sauce. The chicken McNuggets might as well have been chicken jerky. This is the Second time visiting after the remodel of the store and I won't return ever again. 1150 S DeAnza Blvd, San Jose, CA (Cupertino area). Store #654 The first visit, my wife and left as the whole restaurant smelled like a sewer. This second visit, the smell was limited to the rest room which was not clean. Regardless, I had ordered and was waiting for our meal. After receiving and eating, I asked for a refill on the Diet Coke. The person refused and just said "we don't do refills" This is the only McDonalds that denied a refill. I've had others, that don't have self serve, that provided a refill but in a fresh cup. And others that just kindly took my cup without the lid and did the refill. Very weak management that are clearly trying to recoup costs of the remodel. read more

I should have looked at the reviews before my visit. Last time I had big Mac was over 10 years ago. What a disappointment. The sandwich was dry. Sauce was localized. Sloppy assembly. This review is primarily for the operations and customer service. Went at 1 pm on a Friday; Waited for 5 min and no one is at the counter taking your orders. Some customers before me waited a little while and left. The staff only focused on the drive thru orders. Eventually, a staff came to the counter or cashier and told me to use the self order kiosk to order. I tried using the kiosk but it didn't take my coupon code, and had to go back to the counter to order again. Staff seemed not to be very patient to take orders from the counter. For the last year, the employees are never available when the store is scheduled to open. Sitting in the drive thru for more than 10 minutes without anyone even acknowledging you're there is to be expected each morning. And then, when they get your order wrong, which happens more here than at any other McDonalds I frequent, they argue with you saying you ordered it wrong. Our order was fairly simply- Sausage biscuit meal with egg and cheese, diet coke. Our order was messed up several times: 1st incorrect order- biscuit with just cheese and sausage (no egg). 2nd incorrect order- biscuit with cheese and biscuit, lacking egg and cheese. 3rd incorrect order- missing the hash brown. The breakfast sandwich was sloppy put together looking like it came out of the trash bin. Most of the people working at this McDonald's cannot speak or understand English which makes communications difficult. Turns out this McDonald's is a franchise. When I asked for the business card of the manager they claimed they don't have any and they don't know the name of the franchise owners. I called the number on my receipt only to be directed to a voicemail box of the restaurant group that owns this location. I will be contacting the corporate McDonalds not the restaurant group. It truly felt like reverse discrimination because all the employees behind the counter were complaining in Spanish and not speaking English. This place has the worst customer service and if you hate your job so much maybe you should quit and find a new one. I will not support a business that does not have good customer service. First of all the location has really gotten rundown over the years. Secondly, the staff is unfriendly nor helpful. I visited the newly remodeled McDonald's tonight, and went through the drive-through. He forgot to give me a straw, no biggie. So I took the lid off and drank the Sprite directly from the cup. When I finished my Sprite, I noticed the bottom of the cup was filthy. It was like the cup have been reused or pulled out of the garbage with black spots covering the entire bottom of the cup. The employees said they won't accept a survey promo if the receipt has *promo* on the receipt. *promo* on the receipt simply indicates a promo was used in the purchase. They think it's not an original receipt. Shady employees fabricate reasons to not accept their own survey promo. The employees told me to go to another McDonalds to redeem the offer. It wasn't difficult to see why this place has so many 1 star negative reviews. Table side service is shown, but it doesn't exist. Employees are really lazy to do that part of their job and would rather just scold the customer for not coming to the counter to pick up the food. This one Mexican lady, looked like she was the supervisor or something, was extremely rude, full of nasty bad attitude toward customers and just had this really bad body language like she doesn't want to be there. The employee was new and had to ask for help after every order, which is fine. However, I asked for one meal and extra burgers and the manager was talking to me as if I didn't order them. Standard McDonalds. It's clean, no homeless people (like in SF), just a good McDonalds... except for it's location. If coming from Cupertino, going towards Saratoga, the entrance is awkward, short, and easy to miss. If you pass it, you have to make a U-turn. It's just not a convenient McDonalds. I go to this McDonald's every single Saturday before my work shift so I can get an Egg McMuffin meal (and occasional Yogurt Parfait) from their drive-thru that I can eat at work. They always breeze through the line of cars waiting to order, and even on days they don't have a line, they always go through my process in a matter of minutes. It is obvious that the operation there is smooth, and all the workers work as a unit. The most important thing to me is the food is always consistent! Never once have they messed up my order, and have always given me a great-tasting Egg McMuffin and hash brown. Will still be coming back every Saturday! read more

This place really takes the crown. As the worst McDonald's of all time that is. I'm not really lovin it. The drive thru opens sometime around 5:30 or so. Whenever the employees feel like getting out of bed I suppose. Sometimes you might sit at the drive thru a few minutes before you realize, hey, there's nobody in there. Next is the quality of food. Even compared to McDonald's, which I'm not asking for much, is just garbage. They gave me an old apple pie that was hard and completely empty. There was no filling left in the pie. I don't even know how that happens. I got a basic hamburger that had one pickle in the middle and literally a dot of ketchup and mustard. There was about five onion pieces in it maybe. Not only that but it tasted old. Besides the quality of food and messing up my order the staff isn't even very friendly. To top it off being in Cupertino they charge more for the food here.
