I,m alergic to cheese. a senior citizen and have ordered thru drive thru. If my order is small like 2 items or less it is ok. when i order double quarter pounders and ask for no cheese they always put cheese. happened twice in one week. by the time i get home open the bag and see order was wrong i,m just to tired to have to drive 6 miles back to have them fix it. this has happened quite a few times over the past year. read more

Too bad I can't give this location 0 stars. When this spot gets the order correct (which is rare) it's good. I wish that McDonalds as a franchise wouldn't have gotten rid of the big breakfast and instead gives the deluxe breakfast as an option. The bacon is horrible and tastes like it's been under a gas station heat lamp for days. Every time I try to substitute it for sausage, the receipt shows correct information and then they forget the sausage and give me extra beef jerky bacon. I guess they don't want it either. I was at the drive thru & only had a $100 bill I typically just keep in my car. The cashier lady in the window asked me if I had anything smaller in which I told her no, sorry. She then huffed, puffed, roller her eyes & got an attitude and rudely asked me if I had a card? I said no, I didn't bring it with me, sorry. She then proceeded to give me more attitude at the window while she called he manager to check the money... she then got snappy & said she's just about to pay for my food out of her own pocket because of all the drama. This all occurred in a span of maybe less than 2 minutes (ifffff that). She acted as if it was all such an inconvenience for her to call her manager/supervisor to check the money ( who btw came right away.) Wow had a really bad experience its 4-19-19 @ 9:56am young girl at the second window totally got my order wrong this morning I ordered a full meal and they gave me a sandwich no coffee and when I told her wrong order she cuts me off and shuts the window I paid$5.56 and my original purchase was $9.71 she snatches my debit card out of my hands and is going to charge me a additional $5 bucks making my total $10.56 when I was only supposed to pay $9.72 then made me wait off to the side to complete my order..the management needs to train these people right and tell them something about customer service read more

GET RID OF THIS PLACE!!! I do not expect much from a McDonald's employee. Just get my order right and its all good. I don't even care about rudeness...we all have bad days. This place will ALWAYS make you pull over to the side...even with small orders. They never get the order correct after making me pull over. They ask me what sauce i would like but 90% of the time i have to ask more than 3 times. I NEVER write reviews (good or bad) but they really forgot the ONLY order of fries i asked for. Do not go inside, just order through the drive-thru. It is much faster since they give the priority to the drive thru. It moves super quick. I have gone inside and it takes a long time for people to get their order and then its messy inside. The place where the sodas are at its often dirty with soda spilled, which that should be clean all the time. read more

This was the worst service ever first they parked us in front of the store when there were no cars behind us in the drive thru. Then they make our coffee with 1/4 of the cup empty so I asked them to correct it and they didn't want to add more coffee it was the worst experience and the last time i come here. Unfortunately I had an unpleasant experience here. At first the girl in the speaker was saying "HELLO HELLO" when I hadn't pulled up all the way to order yet. Then she couldn't hear what I was ordering so I kept having the repeat myself. They got my drink wrong, they didn't give us straws. The fries tasted very old. Only giving them one star because by some miracle they got my "no onions, no pickles" part right on the order. First of all, yes, I know it's only Micky Dee's. But you know when you are on your way somewhere with a kid in the backseat it's very convenient to go to the same chain and get (relatively) the same stuff and be on your way in a flash, no muss, no fuss. Well, this place was pretty frustrating. First of all, when we drove through the drive through (which wasn't out of order, i asked!) there was a lady there in person to take our order. Not a problem, except she spoke very little english and was almost indecipherable as far as speaking. Yep, we couldn't understand her. Hardly. Not easy, right...then she was rushing us and we were trying to figure out what the kid would eat; even asked her nicely to "give us a minute"...really only about 15 seconds but NO,she had to start punching numbers that she heard us discussing amongst ourselves...a number 2, a number 8,whatever else I'm not sure. Only figured that part out when she asked what we wanted for our drink orders with those meals! Finally got her to stop stabbing numbers on her iPad long enough to LISTEN to us and got our order done, too much drama for a drive through!! When we went to pay for our order we asked that employee why they placed people in that kind of critical spot (critical for communication!) who couldn't be well understood or get their point across either, and we got the same thing. That's right, she was hardly able to be understood either. Just so you don't think I'm some transplant, I grew up near here and have been around all cultures my whole life, no problems. Just when i'm ordering something and want to be well understood, my patience sort of leaves me. The window money taker employee was very nice and asked if i wanted to talk to the manager but we were on our way to the Cabrillo Beach Museum and had no time to stop and chat. This is business 101, not sure why they dont place better communicators in those high traffic areas. For counter work, it would be much better to have them there, i'm sure those running inside to order have more time on their hands and can help these employees with their language skills. There is ample parking and the food is as standard as it gets (not hot and fresh, but not disgusting enough to inspire self-loathing), so not much to say about that. Service is as slow as you can expect when they prioritize drive-thru, but again it is expected. If you're in the area and craving McD's, then sure why not. I've been coming here since I was a child. Sadly this place gets worse and worse. Every time I order they either miss something or the quality of the food is very poor. I've had instances where I ask for something they swear it's in the bag and when I go check of course it's not. If something was not correct in my order every so often I would understand being that's it's fast food. This place just does not try. Today I went to this mcdonalds and I ordered a 20 PC of chicken nuggets and I received them all dropping in oil and it looked like they were refried and I went to tell the manager that i wanted new chicken nuggets and I also told her how it looked and she gave me a cheap excuse with an attitude that she didn't think they were refried and plus they were very busy. I then recieved new 20 PC of chicken nuggets but they were the same. I was very disappointed but because its Thanksgiving I didn't want to complain. I also didn't like the fast food place because it was very dirty like the dining room plus the kitchen. I am complaining because I didn't just spend 5 bucks but because I spend almost 40 dollars.. This McDonalds has been Renovated, so it has a more modern appearance inside and out. The service has gotten significantly faster as well because they have adopted the In-N-Out method of having a dude in the car line being proactive with order taking. So for a McDonalds, this one is pretty good, though a few times they have put a dude with a strong accent in the car line taking orders, and it takes an extra 10 minutes to understand him. There have been a few times where my breakfast potato chunk is missing in my order. I usually drive to work after I order my grub, so I don't have time to argue for a replacement tatter. read more

The store always seems like it is staffed by people working against their will. As if they are being forced to work for the fast food giant and that looks like it is extended to management. It isn't the cleanest place I've ever eaten either but what can one expect with the attitudes of the employees. The morning of Tuesday September 15, 2015 solidified my dislike for the place so I will explain and ask that you feel free to tell me if you agree with the reasoning's on this issue or if I have over reacted. There was nothing out of the ordinary on the visit, simply 3 friends wanting breakfast that was ordered through the drive through. The order was as follows: One breakfast combo meal with coffee as the drink, two additional breakfast sandwich's (2 orders of "2 sausage McMuffin with egg sandwich's) and two ice coffees, one was to be a Mocha. Now, for the record. a regular breakfast menu item that is a combo meal, consists of a sandwich, hash brown patty and either orange juice or coffee but does not include specialty drinks such as iced coffee or Latee. The drive through employee advised us of their restrictions on the meal drink but told us of the special on the iced coffee's which was buy one get one free. In this case, we were to have five drinks for three people but because one came with the meal and the other came from a promotion, it made sense to accept. It was at this point that the insanity began The voice on the other end of the drive through menu stated that we would have to pay for the coffee. Understanding the restriction plus the fact that we had ordered coffee drinks which weren't covered under the meal restrictions and intended to buy the others left me questioning, "What coffee?" A set price is listed on the menu board (at this store, meal # 6) so we ordered one number six and two other sandwiches which fed three in our party and so I felt my question valid but the response left me speechless. Because we had, "ordered other drinks, we would need to pay for the coffee or juice or any choice of drinks that came with the meal." My insistence that, "it came with the meal", was met with the standard, "first window please", and so I moved up the line. Her answer remained defiant to an apparent policy that backed her reasons behind the additional charge. Hungry and not wanting any further early morning arguments, I paid and moved up to window number two. Met by a lady in an obvious Manager outfit gave reasons to ask her about such an obscure policy by explaining my concern. Unmoved, she simply defended the employees actions as being valid. I couldn't believe my ears and repeated my understanding of the situation. Stating that we ordered two sandwich's, two iced coffees that came with two free ones of equal or lesser value and a breakfast meal that came with either coffee or juice but we had to pay for that drink simply because we had ordered something entirely different and unattached from that category? Again unmoved, she simply said,"Yes". Dazed and confused, I drove away but I'd like to offer something here as an explanation that I have noticed in every business I have ever encountered from a 99 cent store to an automobile business and even to medical facilities such as hospitals and dentists because it is so customary that it appears automatic, have you seen it too? Every business on the planet except for McDonald's on Gaffey Street in San Pedro California loves ... in fact train their personnel to ask for "point of purchase" sales. Most places actually place some of these or similar items at the check out area and they double as "impulse buys" In short, these are suggestible items that compliment or enhance or have similar uses to the products or services already agreed on and are being purchased. An example; in a food service business would be, "would you like to super size that order" or "would you like an apple pie with your meal" or perhaps, "did you know we have buy one get one free on our iced coffees" and the profit is staggering on these items alone. McDonald's has stooped to a new level of greed by suggesting I pay for an item that I was to receive but charged extra simply because I ordered another item in that category. Plain and simple terms make this theft. Another defined term is "bait and switch" which is where you are offered one thing but coerced into purchasing another based on bogus reasons such as, "we no longer have that in stock" and both are against the law. Be wary of businesses that practice these methods of increasing profits from sales. read more
