I came in to this establishment not knowing what to expect, after having been so thoroughly disappointed from other diners in this area. I had been to other McDonald's joints, I knew they were globalizing the american dream, we all know no McDonald's is different from the other, a double cheeseburger in Shoreline will taste the same as a double cheeseburger down in Bellevue. We all know that. But THIS McDonald's right here, is special. I for one never remember a visit to Americas biggest fast food chain because the lord knows ain't no creativity or Ronald McDonald Magic inside those kitchens. but lemme tell you this. i step in there you know me im always craving a slim thick shake with a couple cheeseburgers, double and regular because this is the land of the free ya dig. I walk up to the counter and there is this nice young man, about 16 years old i would assume, of some sort of Asian descent, Cambodian i would assume. Looked about 5'8, around 130 pounds, pretty lanky guy feel me. I was shocked to see such a young man already in the working force of Big Man Ronald's restaurant. I didn't know what to expect. So you know me i order up my usual and my man had it down no cap son. Before i could even say crip gang i hear my number called like damn they got that shit rapid af g who tf they got back there the Flash or some shit? Next thing i know guess who handed me my meal? young lank lord himself. I had to ask "you make this?" "uh yeah". i was astonished to an adolescent working like the detroit pistons in 04. I said to myself "they better be giving my man 15 an hour he goin hard in the paint" Needless to say i sat down to dine on my home grown meal, still recovering from what i had just seen. Don't let this distract though that that chocolate milkshake and cheeseburgers were something i could not get my hands off of. i was about to order something else but i heard my stomach rumbling up you know how my bowels are. 10.18.19 around 9:30 pm I waited 15 min in drive thru just to have the completely wrong order handed to me. If I had not stopped to look before driving all the way home this would have been the third visit in a row getting it wrong. I went into the store to get help and was there another half hour before getting the food right. mass confusion at every level from drive thru, management and cook staff. All orders were painfully slow and uncertain. This is a systemic problem of poor management and oversight. This is simply solved by third party shoppers who rate the experience 100% truthful and without bias or sugar coating things, use of swear words and improper sentence structure ok in explanations. Secret shoppers would open a dialogue to fix these issues immediately with checks in place to log All screw ups of any kind. These issues logged on Yelp have been going on for years and have no replies or followthrough. Just business as usual. It appears there is no standard for timelines, quality of accuracy, traceability or transparency or in dealing with Yelp review replies to assure future customers that things are looked into and addressed completely and promptly. read more

This is a garbage McDonald's. I've never been so mistreated as a customer. I ordered one thing. They gave me something else. I gave them the receipt then they still wanted me to buy what they didn't give me. The person behind the counter doesn't speak English well and whispered the whole time. My father who is hard of hearing had to have me make his order because she refused to alter her inaudible volume. All in all I guess the rest of the restaurant is fine. 3 stars probably. Can it be? Did they actually get my order right TWICE?? Yes, ladies and gentlemen , it's true!! After a revolting experience at Red Onion a couple of days ago, and after a grueling day at work, hubby and I decided to try out our local McDonalds. At the McDonalds we used to go to in Mill Creek we RARELY ever got what we asked for, and believed that it wasn't possible, and that it must actually be VERY difficult to make one burger without cheese and mayo, and one burger without pickles. Perhaps behind the scenes it was very tricky to NOT place those two pickle slices on that bun? Whatever the problem, we became used to going home and listing off the errors and then eating it anyway. So yesterday I went to this one on Ballinger, since we live nearby now, and "lo and behold!" I was not only greeted by 2 smiling friendly faces at the two separate windows, but got home and found BOTH orders made to perfection! So it CAN be done?? Wheeeee! Feeling naughty, (McDonalds TWICE in two days?), I went there again tonight and ordered the same thing again.....My God!!! They did it again!!!! Everything just as I ordered! Not a pickle in sight! And no cheese or mayo on his! It restored my faith in humanity's ability to construct a burger to order, and that there are smiling, friendly, happy people working in a McDonalds. Cashier was preparing food without washing his hands and told me to wait after serving the guy behind me. I always buy food here. My first complain though they've always been slow. Hi, I have never left a unhappy yelp, and I have a suggestion when the next time your electricity goes out, Please leave a note in your drive thru order menu/box saying so. I called to see why I have sitting in line for over 20 minutes. I was told that the electricity just came back on at 3:28 pm, and they were warming up the ovens. Definitely one of the worse McDonald's I ever seeing. I live a block and half away from this fast food restaurant and come frequently here, even though the location is fine and its appearance is better than other McDonald's, the food and workers from this location are the real problem. Whenever I would come to this McDonald's I would have to personally ask the workers to make sure they changed the tea and replaced the fries because no one ever knows if their previews partner did it or not but they still continue to serve the drinks without even checking, I had to comeback to the drive-thru in many occasion because of the sweet tea I ordered (including orange juice and other drinks including ice creams, which machine is now being out of service for over a month), which horrible taste made it impossible to just keep driving home; coffee is also a huge issue here, majority of workers completely lack when it comes to measurements in order to filter the coffee properly, it either lacks of taste or is intolerable to drink as result of over adding. Since this Mc Donald's provides service 24/7 to dine in and drive thru, the workers are only worrying about serving the food and forget about the care and quality of what they're serving, that's the reason I try and not to go by drive thru and instead order in so if the order is wrong (which mostly is), I'll have a chance to tell them at the moment instead of having to wait again back in the line of drive thru. read more

I work across the street and desperate times calls for desperate measures when I have to go to McDonalds. They are always slow! You think you are safe when there are 1 or 2 people in the drive thru, but no! It always takes up at least 20 minutes of my 30 minute breaks. Today I went through the drive thru for the double cheeseburger and fries combo and they told me to pull into the waiting spot... for a double cheeseburger... They served four people behind me before a manager came out to hand me my order. She said that they were waiting on my fries, but my fries weren't even hot. So slow! Incredible staff super hot and fresh meals cooked when you order them I want to make a special thank you to Sasha the manager I was having a particularly rough couple of months after my husband suffered a tragic heart failure landing our family in a downward financial spiral, small acts of humanity and kindness are what keep us going and this woman showed so much grace and kindness w not only me but the huge rush of people swarming the restaurant. You can tel she enjoys her job and is able to do it with both kindness and compassion, as well as efficiency. She aided me in making the most out of my gift card to able me to feed my small family w what I had, l owing the menu and helping me select a great combination of foods with what little I had. And still having time to look me in the eyes and wish me and my family a speedy recovery, her sincerity brought tears to my eyes, as I said before it's the small acts of humanity and kindness that get people in my situation alike to the next day. Knowing I can come to this location and see her smiling face brings a joy to my family and myself. This has nothing to do with the service which was fine, this is much more about the aesthetic of the place after their horrible horrible redesign and the future of McDonalds as a company. I am one of the people that still likes having a McDonalds around but the new look that this place has embraces is horrible, dull, boring, sterile and unwelcoming. They also have the self serve kiosks now which I find impersonal and cold and they have taken the place of some seating. I did try the kiosk and while it is fairly easy to use, not all items on the menu are available as an option of this kiosk. McDonalds is making some bad decisions in their plans for the future. People are up at arms about these kiosks in this area and all over and they will start to have a negative impact on the culture around them going forward and McDonalds already has a bad reputation. People will resist this change and choose other options. Moreover McDonalds is denying one of their strengths, nostalgia and the power of nostalgia. Nostalgia and the former childhood of adults is very very important in the modern day. McDonalds mascots are a valuable asset. Ronald, Grimace, Birdie, Hamburglar, The Fry Guys, Mayor McCheese, Constable BigMac and the other giants of the McDonalds pantheon weigh heavy on the minds of a culture of adults that buy toys and go to see super heroes and giant robots battle it out in theatres for films that make a billion dollars world wide in a matter of weeks. You can find a way to appeal to this audience and embrace a happy medium between nostalgia, retro and modernity, but you are going in the wrong direction towards a cold modernity and aesthetic that is far too cold, mundane, sterile and boring. If there are any local franchise owners reading this, please resist this modern "upgrade" if you can, it will hurt you in the long run. read more

Ok so a couple weeks ago my husband and I went through the drive thru and we ordered a QP meal and a double QP meal one without pickles the other without onion. Neither were cooked like we ordered and the double was a single in a double box. Well the manager offered two free meals on our next visit. Good right!? if i'm really hungry and in a hurry, the classic chicken grilled is acceptable. I remove most of the mayo myself since special orders are just asking for trouble. Well today they served me a club by mistake. I returned it and got the sandwich i was suppose to get and watched the employee along with the manager wrap the club that I had been served in error and attempt to re-serve it to a drive thru costumer. McDonald's breakfast is sinfully delicious, I love the Deluxe Big Breakfast (pancakes, scrambled eggs, hash brown patty, buttermilk biscuit, sausage patty, with condiments jam, butter, ketchup, salt/pepper, and syrup), Breakfast Bagel (with egg, bacon, and cheese), Egg McMuffin (with egg, ham, and cheese), and Cinnabon Mini Buns (mini Cinnabon cinnamon rolls baked together/connected)... all my favorite items on the breakfast menu! I made this account just to share my night, it's one thing to ask a waiting customer to hang on a moment (i fully understand how busy the drive thru was, and how few employees were there, happy to wait). Five minutes go by and I figure I should take a seat and read my book. The girl apologizes and says she'll be right with me. Five more minutes and there's only one order left in the drive thru rush, now employees are punching out to take their break or go home. The original girl makes herself an Ice-cream and runs to the back while I spend another five minutes standing there waiting (empty store, no cars in drive thru). Showed up around 1:45, order was taken around 2:00 while the girl was halfway through her ice-cream. With my boss, If I'd done something like that I'd be fired on the spot no matter how close we were or how valuable I am. I'm really not one to complain, they mess up my order one in maybe five times, no biggie we're human and make mistakes (especially when busy, stressed, tired etc.) But to be ignored because the timing of my coming in was inconvenient makes me pretty upset. Also kind of bugged by regularly seeing the lobby a complete mess, nearly all the tables dirty while employees are chatting or even taking a break, on their phone right in the middle of all the filth. read more
