Loved the vibes of this place, at least when we went on a Sunday, it was super mellow. We just so happened to catch the Oscars while enjoying a few drinks and some food. We were originally only going to grab some drinks, but ended up staying to watch the show and eat since it was so chill. We had passed by this place a few times and always wanted to see why it seemed so popular. McCoys didn't disappoint. The servers were all personable and surprisingly cheery for Seattle, they also didn't slack on the service, they were on it and I appreciated the quick friendly service. We could tell they just wanted to play some music, but because there were a few of us watching the Oscars, they were nice enough to let us watch instead of being jerks about it and just playing music. Really appreciated that as well, and no one asked them for this, they just read the room. I'd say this place is great for drinks. The food was alright, but we only had sandwiches and apps. My hotel was only a couple blocks away from McCoys and I wanted to catch the Pat's game so I decided to come here. Walked in and the guy behind the counter was extremely friendly and told me I could sit anywhere. Ordered a vodka red bull and sat myself in a booth. I decided to get the sausage sampler for dinner. It came with bratwurst, polish, hot link and fries. It also came with coleslaw but I told the guy I did not want any coleslaw. I enjoyed all three sausages but my favorite was definitely the hot link because of the little spice it had. The guy said the sausage is all made in house which is awesome. Got a good meal, drank 2 red bull vodkas and watched a great game for all under $50. Deal! Great food - good drinks - wonderful bartenders. This place can get packed on game days, both before and after the games. They track major events in the area and usually have extra help. But it's good to know so you can pack your patience. It's a fun vibe slammed or slow. On sunny slower days I like to grab a drink and people watch in the outdoor area. read more

TLDR: do yourself a favor and get the potato skins. Soooooo good. Came in on a rainy Thursday night, staff was welcoming and knowledgeable about the menu. Service was very quick and the food was so delicious, we may just have to come back during our stay. It's a bar, so just keep that in mind. Came here on a Wednesday morning for the Seahawk parade. Staff was super nice and accommodating. We ordered 2 Mom's hangover breakfast sandwiches- they were super yummy! Loved when we chanted "Sea-Hawks" the bar rang the fire alarm. read more

I was looking for a different place with good food and found McCoys Firehouse to be a pleasant surprise. I live on the East Coast, but if I lived here, McCoys would be one of my favorite places to go! I had the beef dip sandwich and potato salad. One of my friends had the sausage sampler while the other had a sausage sandwich. All of us very much liked what we had. The sausage is done up in house and so is the brisket. I think the building was an old firehouse which makes it a neat place to relax. I highly recommend this place. Spent holiday weekend in Seattle for the game and some fun. Found McCoys here on Yelp and was close to hotel so figured would be fun to try. TOTAL GEM!!! Wife and I spent better part of an afternoon sampling food and me trying to help finish up their Black Velvet bourbon (almost did it). Was so good we decided to come back before the game and have brunch! Food was excellent, drinks were good, service was awesome- just note on Game days, it's EXTREMELY busy, we ended up on the patio- a little chilly but I wanted to try more of their food, and again was not disappointed. My husband really wanted to try this place and so we went. 1 star for service and 4 star for food. We walked in and basically asked if we could self seat or needed to be seated, people working here are not attentive. Luckily the food made up for the terrible service. The proprietor was a delight! We enjoyed chatting with him and learning about the history of this building. You want character? You got it. We were having a late lunch so we shared wings and nachos. He let us try the popper sauce (a spicy grape jelly sauce) and the sweet chili on the side, plus blue cheese! All were great. The nachos were a little brown but flavorful. We stumbled upon this bar before a wedding reception and the decor was very unique and fun. The drinks were typical for a dive bar but I was really impressed with the appetizers.
