So somebody today brought me a butter crispy hamburger to my home, and I was confused as to why the hamburger was so small in its wrapping (if it is even suppose to come in one and not a box). I open the wrapping and wonder if this was even the correct order (it was). I look at the hamburger; no lettuce, no tomato, too much mayonnaise. I Informed the drive thru lady, and she got a super big attitude about how I didn't order a meal...no hun I did not order a meal, I ordered it separately which is why he must of missed it. I asked for the manager and she was just as useless and had attitude just like the drive thru lady. I've left a review on this place a few years ago and sadly it hasn't changed. If you go to Gonzales or Greenfield you'll find teenagers working there the same as Soledad. However the service is much faster and efficient at the other two stores. So it has to be a managerial issue. After waiting 15 minutes in the drive thru all I saw were three kids giggling with each other and asking me what my order was. I already told them 15 minutes ago. By the time I get my food....fries are cold and the ice is melted in the drink. The sandwich looks like someone sat on it. This place needs some serious work on motivation and efficiency of staff and putting out a product worth paying the prices they are asking now to pay for their overpriced staff. Looking at the managers they look tired and checked out. The staff couldn't care less. If I wanted to wait 15 minutes for food I would have gone to Dennys. Won't be coming back to this place again. The closest McDonald's second to this one is five miles away and are always stocked.. It almost seems like the employees are just too lazy to make the food so they would rather tell you they are out. Stopped off in the very early morning to grab an ice coffee and something to keep me awake for the final two hours on my drive home... Ask for 2 pumpkin and cream pies, all out oh, dang! Pleasant atmosphere and design. Food is typical McDonald's affair, but the service was exceptional. My autistic 10 year old daughter walks in wearing a Captain America costume. The staff thought it was adorable and presented her with a free cookie because they liked it so much. This absolutely made her day. To me this was the epitome of customer service, and I will gladly take our family back to this location when we come back through town again. read more

I guess that's to be expected when you come to a mc Donald's. These poor kids have to deal with some real winners everyday, and I can't really blame them for having less than great attitudes. Like many people we were on a road trip through Soledad when we started looking for a drive through for breakfast. We spotted the Golden Arches from the highway and settled on the idea of breakfast combos and McMuffins. We chose McDonalds because we were pressed for time and drive thru was our only option. Unfortunately it did not occur to the staff at this location to put a sign at the drive thru that the card reader was down = cash only. It obviously did not just happen since they did have a typed sign up on the pickup window. The consequence of this is we got to wait in line behind several other cars but were unable to order after being informed of the situation at the order speaker. Convenient location near the Hwy 101, but this is a very slow McDonald's. There were at least 6 people working behind the counter and in the back cooking area, but our 5 plain hamburgers still took about 10 minutes to prepare. And the french fry machine was beeping on and on for about 2 or 3 minutes straight, really annoying and makes you think nobody is paying attention. Sometimes the food leaves something to be desired. But today was the exception. Needing a quick fix and craving a Filet O Fish, I went to the McDonalds in Soledad; a decision I would not later regret. Hands down, the best Filet O Fish and Chicken Nuggets I have had in a long time. The Filet O Fish was moist, warm, and had the perfect crunch. The bread was soft and light as it should be. I've been to many McDonalds before, and let me just say, the McDonalds at Soledad has got to be my favorite one. They really know how to satisfy someone's cravings and to top it off, they are always welcoming and genuinely happy workers. I'd like to specifically point out the young man who took my order, his name was also ironically "Aldo", and he was really nice and charming.
