Slow service compared to standard McDonald service. A rather small menu of options available for regular burger orders. And overall burger composition was pretty bad; my lettuce looked like a shriveled single piece of lettuce. Some positives that gives it 2 stars instead of 1: the staff are friendly and patient, and the store is relatively clean.

Can't really complain, I mean it's a McDonalds what do you really expect right? The only thing I really can complain about is the speediness of the restaurant. They had 1 person on cash register and he was pretty slow. A decently long line was building up and you can see him with his back turned towards the kitchen versus taking care of the line. He was a nice kid, nothing wrong with that, but he was just slow paced. The service in general was decent, nothing bad and the cleanliness of the whole area was good as well. The menu did seem to have very little choices on it itself, but then again if you pretty much pick the popular items (example: big mac, clubhouse etc.) then you should be fine. The burger itself was alright, nothing fantastic, it was room temperature by the time we got home, but I'm not sure if that was due to the drive home or if they didn't cook it hot enough.

Went here on St Patrick's Day. Drive-thru was insane! We got out and then went inside. We waited for about 15 minutes for a cashier and then finally a cashier. Was this a joke? Someone who was chewing gum and smacking her lips. "What do you want?" - great way to greet a customer! No smile or anything. Just pure rudeness. This is the closest chain to me and it's the only option. But, at least the food was a lot more enjoyable than other fast food places. Overall, not the best visit to this location. They could have done better and had more staff on hand for the busy day.

    It even smells burnt!

Went here at 9:20 A.M. We bought two mcmuffin; when I went to open one up we noticed that both McMuffins were burnt. I called them I asked to speak to manager. The lady on phone said, this is the manager. I told her that the McMuffins they gave us was burnt. She said, you could bring them back and we'll give you new ones. I was already half way home so I told her it was okay, I just wanted her to let who ever is cooking them know they're burning them. She said, I was the one who cooked them and they weren't burnt! I guess the saying, "Customer is always right" doesn't apply to her. A very good sign that pride is more important than a customers disapprova of an item they bought off menu. Make sure you look at the McMuffin in photo.

It was so impossibly giant, yet so catastrophically dry, I'm pretty sure swallowing a single bite sucked all the residual moisture straight out of my eyeballs. It tasted like seasoned acoustic ceiling tile. As for the sides? Absolute criminal negligence. The potatoes had that distinct, rubbery, thermonuclear glow that can only be achieved by a 4-minute-and-30-second ride in a 1990s Breakroom Microwave. Meanwhile, the green beans were on the exact opposite end of the thermal spectrum--shockingly hard, unseasoned, and literally ice-cold, as if they had just been excavated from a permafrost glacier in Siberia. The service was fine, but I won't be back for the food. Absolutely gross. My stomach may never forgive me.

Was a bit awkward with the couple ordering next to us and it took a bit to understand the flow of information. You also pay via the screen which is very easy. Very little to no human contact. A person behind the counter did greet us and I guess could have been asked questions if needed. If the place was busy the self ordering could be a problem. We ate in, the place is kind of shabby but appeared clean. I cleaned our table with some spray I found on a back counter. I didn't see anyone cleaning tables. One minor annoyance, the napkins are single ply and do not hold up well to the clean up from eating g a pretty messy juicy burger. We must have used 20 napkins, a good two ply napkin would have been preferred. We will definitely be back the next time we have a burger craving.

Here are the positives: 1. The menu: They have a very extensive drink menu, with plenty of cocktails, including margaritas, canned drinks, and other specialty drinks. I wish they would serve more mocktails, but that's just me. 2. The atmosphere: This is an excellent place to enjoy the bayside views and hear live music, and it's even on a sunny day. 3. The service: This location has plenty of staff on hand, but you may have to flag someone down if it's busy. The food and drinks here are very good and compliment the atmosphere very well. I will say there are a couple of downsides: Cover charge: If you want to come here on the weekend, be prepared to pay at the door. The cost to come here is $5 per person, and while that may be alright for those who are vacationing here, it can become quite costly for locals. I really wish places like this offered a seasonal pass then I'd be back much more often. One of the more negative experiences I had was using the bathroom. I did have an incident at the Somers Point location where I locked the bathroom door and a member of their staff walked in on me and, at one point, banged a broom against the window. I'm not sure if any of their locations have some type of bathroom policy, but it didn't seem quite professional and felt very awkward. If you plan on using the bathroom here, make sure the door if completely locked.

Drinks were on the expensive side, but so in tune to the vibe we overlooked it as entertainment value. So, I brought some friends back for dinner a few Sundays later. That's when they stopped us at the door to collect a $5 per person cover charge and that's where I drew the line. At 6:00, they had a DJ, they explained, and there would be a band at 7:00. The food is already overpriced, but we were willing to accept that for the experience. However, we were not willing to pay a fee for the privilege of eating. It's unfortunate, really. They were onto something, but there is no shortage of places to enjoy a summer evening in Somers Point that won't charge a cover to eat.

The ice cream, soft serve, and frozen dessert choice variety is fantastic, despite the price being astronomical and varying greatly every time I go. The addition of the burger bar felt gimmicky at first, but they really put out delicious quality food. Here's my issue that's making it incredibly painful every time I now visit the dairy bar. Let me start with saying Margate is a special place in the summer. The town is overflowing with families ready to spend money, including their teen aged kids. Margate teens don't have a lot of places outside their house to hang out anymore. With the beach curfew and the club wa crack down, the kids are more spread out and looking for somewhere to go that isn't their parent's house. I am NOT asking the dairy bar to be the new club wa, or the place where all the teenagers can hang out without buying anything. But my god, the hostile environment that is created by going over the loud speaker and saying "if you're not a paying customer or giving money to MY buisness, get off MY picnic tables/get out of MY lines/get off MY sidewalk" and "this isn't a free park, it's a business. Buy something or leave," said with the most condescending tone, makes me want to football spike my ice cream cone on the perfectly power washed sidewalk. I mean my god, MOST of these kids have their parents Amex cards. Should you tell the kids to cut it out if there's 10 of them trying to flip over a table at peak business time? If they're vaping into your window at your employees? Absolutely. Do you need to chase every group of kids away before they step foot in line or ask if they can use the bathroom? Maybe not. One of my favorite memories is going to the dairy bar and listening to the jazz band in a long line to get birthday cake ice cream. Another one is being a teenager with my friend, getting cups of water, and sharing one water ice among 2 of us because we spent most of our allowance money for the week already. The hostile and uninviting environment that has been created and seems to be way more aggressive this year than past is not only unappealing, it's borderline disturbing. If your greatest enemy is a 14 year old boy with a supreme backpack and an alo sweatshirt, maybe you should think about your priorities. Treating teenagers as disrespectfully as possible and being surprised when they treat you the same back shouldn't be that shocking. This place that has some of my most cherished memories is now a cringe fest. Being a little kinder to the clientele (even if they aren't buying something until their parents finish dinner at Steve and cookies) and trying to limit your "zingers" at gen z over the loudspeaker could be beneficial to decreasing the god awful vibes you've created. Hope you can work on that, and maybe adding rum raisin to the menu.
