If you are over 55 you can request a senior coffee which gives you a much lower price or use the McD app for 99 cent deals. I rarely stop at any McDonalds, but today I was in a hurry to get home and hungry. Otherwise, there were at least a couple nearby independent places with better offerings, but involving a longer wait than I wanted. This McDonald's doesn't have a drive through, which considering Lake Tahoe Boulevard traffic was probably a permit condition before they opened. Once inside, me and the touch screen ordered a double cheeseburger and a small lemonade. It wasn't worth the 7 and half bucks I paid, but the order did come out relatively quickly, and I did get what I paid for. Then getting back on the road (under construction) and heading in the Nevada direction made for interesting traffic strategy. read more

We stopped by one night after dinner because my son wasn't feeling the fancy restaurant we had just eaten at and wanted something simple. We ordered a Quarter Pounder with Cheese meal, which came out to about $13. Ordering is self-service--unless you've already placed a mobile order, you have to use the kiosks inside. The place was pretty busy, but the wait time was actually quick, which we appreciated. Judging by the crowd, it seemed like a lot of people were also over fancy food that night. The next morning, on our way home, we placed a mobile order for breakfast, and this experience was very different. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for our food, which felt long for McDonald's. It seemed like kiosk orders inside were being prioritized over mobile orders, which was a bit frustrating. The location itself is smaller than most McDonald's, and there's no drive-thru, which is good to know ahead of time. Overall, I'd give it 3 stars. Came here for a quick dinner with my family. This was literally the first time I've had McDonalds since 2008. I'm not really a fan, but my kids wanted it and we had spent so much money eating out on our vacation that I gave in. My kids got happy meals and enjoyed them. I decided I'd try the snack wrap since I've been seeing all the hype online about them being brought back to the menu recently. They were decent. I preferred the ranch one. The combo came with two so I assumed they were small, but honestly one would've been enough. The location was clean and the service was fine. I wasn't aware, but my husband told me the prices were inflated here compared to the normal McDonalds menu prices, so just something to be aware of. read more

This is the worst McDonald's I have ever been to. My cousin, sister, and I came in around 9:40pm, placed our orders + got our receipt at 9:48pm. In total, we ordered a large fries, grandma mcflurry, soft serve in a cone, and 2 pack of apple pies. There weren't that many people when we ordered, then people started piling up. I understand it can get busy, but our ice cream was left out to melt, so we asked if it was for our order. It took a few tries asking before anyone helped us. When an employee finally responded yes, we asked if we could grab those first since they have been sitting there melting. They said yes, but our apple pies would take another 10 minutes... I ap the update, but I didn't understand why the ice cream was just melting there. If we didn't ask about our order, they would have just left the ice cream sitting there for another 10 minutes to melt? update: got my full order. I always loved those old fashioned fast food standbys. I have been a fan of big macs ever since my dad started taking me years ago. And in high school this was always a favorite hang out. So i am overly familiar with their menu, and their way of serving food. Its always hot. And best of all, its always ready immediately. No waiting for them to cook your meal after placing your order. I kinda like that about this place. In fact, i think i am the only one in my high school.gang that never worked here. As for this location, it is kept very clean. Even the rest rooms are very clean. The team members are very friendly..and they all look very professional. The manager of this location must be an expert in micro managing. He has honed a crack crew who really keep the place operating in high gear at all times. No time for nonsense here. I really loved this place. I hope it keeps this pace all the time. Usually come here for a coffee if I'm next door at the timeshare. Mostly I use the self order kiosk and don't ever have an issue. I can't say that the whole menu is good or if their french fries are old... I don't try much except the coffee which I believe is a good value. Its very inexpensive and the quality of it seems great. I assume they utilize real cream - who knows... I've never asked. Sometimes the lines are long for the human interaction cash registers - but I don't think I've ever utilized them - at least not in recent history. I go up to the kiosk. I smash around some buttons. With little fuss I pay. I think I remember something about the process seemed a little redundant - like you had to pick the item and then officially put it into your 'cart' but I'm easily confused. Very nice interior. High ceilings and comfortable seating. The views to the outdoors are very scenic. Their is no lake view but views of Heavenly and the chair lifts off in the distance. Hey, probably beats the views at your local McDs... I remember the very last time I went - the person who calls out numbers did a very good job. With all the people chit chattering away his voice carried through well. Its really a pet peeve of mine when your at a casino and they put some quiet talker on the PA so that nobody can hear it.... Tons of parking. Out door seating available. They have some chairs and tables that were set between the walkway and building in what was previously unused space. I have a feeling this was due to covid. They have a walk up order spot. I think this is a great idea. I heard that city officials hate drive throughs because they cause so much automotive pollution. Plus here - there are probably many people who are on foot where a drive thru would be useless anyway. I encourage you to come here for a drink. A simple refreshment or perhaps a morning caffeinated beverage for a pick me up. Its gonna be less hassle than figuring out how that coffee maker in your room works. read more

We chose to pickup at the counter, so when we got there my Grandma went in to check on our order and to see if it was ready. We showed the lady our order number and recipe but she kept rudely saying "Well we don't have that order" when it was very clear we placed an order for this mcdonald's. Yesterday evening I had the worst experience ever. My family and I were in Lake Tahoe having a great time. We decided to grab food before attending a show. So we decided to go to this McDonalds and it was unbelievable. I walked in, walked up to the register ordered a Crispy Chicken Combo, 1/4 pounder combo and then the two cheeseburger combo but i only wanted cheese. No meat, no condiments (grill cheese basically). The employee, come to find out he was the manager rolled his eyes and said "I just can't". Walked away and left me stranding there. Finally another employee came to me and asked me what the problem was. I said I have no problem he just walked away. He was kind, took my order and apologized, all good. After waiting 20 minutes while others were coming in ordering and leaving with their orders I simply asked if my order was ready or if I missed it being called. I was told it was a special order and I'd have to wait so that I did. Waited another 10 minutes and they said they were waiting on fries. I saw the manager take fries from my bag and give them to someone else. Finally my order was ready, all shoved in one bag mind you, the manager dropped the bag in front of me, rolled his eyes and say "bye bye". I said "WTF" and he started yelling at the top of his lungs to get out numerous times while walking and rushing me to the door. Late night dinner/snack so this seemed easy. Quick check and order via terminal. Order was ready in 5 minutes. Restaurant was clean and bright almost looked like new Reno. Cheeseburgers as expected but dry but they were hot. Cannot blame the restaurant for the cheeseburgers as McDonald's admits they are changing recipe. The fries however were awesome hot not greasy.
