This experience has greatly surpassed my previous visits in the past couple years. The standout component of my visit (August 2019) was the friendly and pleasant demeanor of the gentleman and lady who processed and delivered my order (respectively). The exchange of pleasantries felt natural and sincere; I did not feel like they were rushing to get me through the line and out of the way. Additionally, it appeared that better-than-average attention to detail was given when packing the items in the paper bag; items were stacked/packed rather than tossed in the bag and thrown out the window. Just want to say my experience was good because I was after the breakfast time at 10:32am but they let me order two big breakfast platters. My service here has always been satisfactory and prompt and the venue is clean. So like, I have no complaints about this McD's at all. Today was just nice because I wanted the breakfast even though it was after the time haha. First off, I'm going to keep this short and sweet. There is a reason this restaurant has such a low rating. This is the ONLY place in my entire life to give me debilitating food poisoning. I mean this had me on the floor for 12 hours straight could literally not get up. In all fairness that was 2 years ago and I have since come back but it is something I will never forget in my life and something they should be held accountable for. Just train your staff! They mumble your order number half the time you don't even know what they're saying. Walked in and there was an odor that was extremely unpleasant even for the time I was simply standing there and ordering. It smelled like bleach or something. Staff are clearly not trained well. They look dead and annoyed at you for some reasons. This is by far the worse mcdonalds I've been to even the manager is rude. My food was greasy. Not just fast food greasy, but greasy in the sense that my stomach was hurting after I downed my chicken nuggets. I am sure this is due to ordering food late at night and being unsure how long it was been sitting out. The drive thru is run by local high school kids so don't expect too much of stellar service, but they get the job done. If interested, they are currently hiring. Wages start at $8.50/hr. read more

This place is the worst but it's also the only McDonald's out that way besides the one in the grocery store plaza off of Braddock. I usually go through the drive-thru which is the slowest drive-thru ever but they've only messed up my order once. Yesterday, (21Aug2018) the line was yet again wrapped around the building so I opted to go inside and it took just as long so idk what I was thinking! The lobby smelled horrible and it wasn't food. The restroom was clean but they only have one sink and a vanity, why is there a vanity? They also only have those old school driers, no paper towels so I had to go out to get napkins. I ordered my usual, a ten piece nugget with HOT mustard and some of the nuggets were soggy as if they hadn't cooked all the way through BUT my fries were fresh to death! When I pulled up to pick up my on-line order in the store, the doors were all locked. I tried calling them, but two calls went unanswered. There was no way for me to change my order option on the app from in-store to drive-thru. The drive-thru wasn't an option anyway, as it has taken me 20 minutes to get my food when I was only the third in line and the line went all the way back to the street. This is the worst McDonald's I have been to. I complained to corporate (requesting a refund or credit) and was advised that the manager would be getting back to me to resolve the issue. I went to this McDonald's with my sister, expecting a nice lunch what we got was rented fries terrible customer service, and a long wait time. It took almost 5 minutes to set up a simple order of a McNugget meal and a Mc chicken meal but they still messed up the order and after we finally got our food, the fries smelled nasty and rancid smelled like they've been using the same oil for days on end. 5 stars for the people who work there! We eat here often. It's fast food, so there's not much to say about that. They are really good at fixing our order if a mistake is made. We like eating inside because it's kept clean and there are large booths. Everybody who works there is genuinely friendly and nice, especially the weekday crew and those who bring our mobile orders out to the car to us. Previous review- Food is as expected and tastes good for McDonalds. I've been here a couple of times now using my app. The last time I was here I had an issue when I placed my order on the app. When I pulled up to the mobile order parking spot to check in so I could get my food, my app logged me out. The order wasn't in my app's recent order section, yet Apple Pay was showing that the transaction went through. I decided to walk in to see if my order went through or if they could help me. The cashier looked confused as hell and looked as if she didn't even want to talk to me. Thankfully another employee, Kevin, took some initiative and listened to what happened to me. He couldn't help me, so he called his manager. Manager was an older woman who conveniently did not have a name tag. She was terrible and rude to deal with. Instead of listening to what I had to say, she was short with me and all she could say was "re-order it again so you can pick up here" and then she walked away. Service here at this location is Good. However, so dissapointed with the Spicy Chicken burger or any chicken sandwich. They called spicy but the only different is because they put a spicy sauce, the chicken was the same. The chicken patty was hard and dry. Never eat chicken at MC Donald again. Love the chicken burger /sandwich at ARBYS , it is BIG, JUICY, lots of lettuce,the sauce is yummmy, AT ARBYs the spicy chicken is the chicken itself is spicy , not like Mc Donald . They used to send you coupons and you can use 1 coupon for the whole family and in combination with other coupon too . I was there today and it took me over an hour to get A SUNDAE. I understand that they were busy but there was many other people there in the restaurant. The manager (oscar) was the worst out of all of them. 1. he proceeded to tell me and other PAYING customers that the restraunt closes at 10. anywhere you check says that it closes at 11. we told him and he said "oh but we're closing at 10 tonight." im sorry but if there's no sign saying that you're closing at a different time then you're not. after waiting 20 minutes to get my order taken he told me "i will take your order im one seccond" then went to the back of the kitchen and didn't come back for a good 20 minutes. 2. he told me that the icecream machine was broken. even though there was two sundaes that came out right after. and when i confronted him and told him that it was obviously a lie he told me that "it was a different machine" which is not true because it's a sundae. 3. he was very rude to all the customers. there was at least 10 people waiting for over an hour just because you cant take our order. 4. this mcdonald's has been a favorite FAST food place. capitalized fast to make sure everyone undertand it's a FAST FOOD. clearly our food was not fast at all. overall we have been told that this particular mcdonald's had been recently switched to new management. now that we've met the manager we understand why this has gone downhill. weve also called about a question/concern and have been hung up on rudely. we are not the only ones because other people in there were also saying that they were hung up too. i really hope that someone will make this mcdonald's how it used to be because you just lost a bunch of customers. Never had an issue here. The staff is very accommodating and go out of their way to make sure everything is okay. Food has always been good whether it's nuggets, quarter pounder, pancakes, etc. Drive thru for me is fine as well. This MickeyDs is probably one of the coolest. They fully redesigned the interior, kinda looks like a fancy coffee shop, with nailed down high chairs and half circle cushioned seats and tables. Now serving gourmet Mocha Java, awesome. Went here today to get my ice coffee fix, medium hazelnut ice coffee. Hazelnut flavor, sugar, cream, coffee and ice was just right. The restaurant was clean, the men's bathroom was clean, don't know about the women's bathroom. Ample parking, although line was kinda long but moved quickly. I give 4 stars cuz they don't serve angus beef burgers like some of other McDs. read more

I am not a fan of fast food. However, My husband and I were heading out to get pedicures and didn't have much time for a coffee/breakfast stop. We decided to give our local McDonalds a try. Let me start by saying this location is clean. The employees are friendly and helpful. We got our food quickly and it was fresh! We ordered the steak breakfast sandwiches and frappes. The frappes were as good or better than what you would get for a higher price at a well known coffee chain. The steak on the sandwich was the typical McDonald's beef, but also hot, fresh and pretty tasty for what it was. Not greasy in the least. Biscuits were flaky and buttery. All in all, not a bad experience and the friendly service earns them another star! Great job! read more

McDonald's in Northern VA aren't fast enough. The food is good by fast food standards, but I know the service could be improved. Instead of one person taking your order, the other employees could be getting the food as soon as it's entered in the register. Instead, they get the food after the order is taken, creating a backup in the lines. If you think drive-thru is any better, it isn't. At the pick up window, the food should be ready, especially since they can wear headsets and hear what the customer is ordering. Instead, by the time you drive up to the second window, the order is still being assembled. This might sound like nit-picking, but McDonald's can definitely do better. I say this from experience, as I worked at McDonald's for 2+ years and it was how we did things -- customers were served much faster and didn't have to wait around for their order, but that seems like a common thing in Northern VA. Quality has gone downhill tremendously since summer started. The people taking orders at the drive thru do not understand the menu... when I ordered a Bacon Ranch salad, why did they assume I did *not* want chicken by default? When I corrected them, they still forgot the chicken. Lines have been much slower too due to the inexperienced or under-trained staff. The orders have been continuously messed up, such as missing apples in Happy Meals, missing/incorrect drinks, missing chicken in salads, etc. Taste-wise, food has been undercooked or unseasoned too lately. They just don't care anymore. I have been living around the area for decades and always used their drive thru on the weekends. For the past few trips they have managed to mess up my order. They would forget something or completely give me the wrong item. It wasn't like this before. This issue all stems from management. I cannot remember the last time I actually got what I ordered. Tonite I had to wait longer bc the woman in front of me was upset about an incorrect order. I placed my order at the drive thru, the order screen was not used so I verified my order. The woman was annoyed. Get my food and everything had cheese on it, even after I confirmed no cheese. Visited at 12:15 a.m. On 6/26/2016 for a meal. Drive thru lines were long, the human order taker didn't speak clearly, the fries were so overcooked that it was empty inside, super dry, even the fish sandwich was overcooked. I DEMAND my $8.38 back!!!! Freshness should be a requirement for all meals including late night eats!! Word of advice... Don't serve overcooked and stale food! It is kind of in the middle of no where but glad south riding has at least one mcdonalds. The line can get pretty back up but they do try to keep up. This place has really gone down hill from a service and quality standpoint. It could be a problem with too many people at once or just under staffed. I will go out of my way to tell people not to use this establishment based on a number of events which have taken way too long: 4/18/2012 - 6:30PM, Dine in, took over 25 minutes to get my meal and it was wrong. Took another 10 minutes to try and get the right food. 4/21/2012 - 10AM, Drive Thru, Simple cup of coffee and it took over 40 minutes. They asked me to pull forward and I waited, and waited.
