Oh man, Firehouse Subs, you've done it again! I was there yesterday, and let me tell you, that New York Steamer was nothing short of a sandwich miracle! If this thing were a person, I'd be ready to take it out for a fancy dinner and maybe even introduce it to my parents. The pastrami? Sliced so thin, it was practically transparent! And my friend ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich, and they said it was amazing! Perfectly seasoned--like, if it were any better, it might just start its own cooking show! The staff here are like the friendliest people you could ever meet--always ready to help and keep the place cleaner than my room (which isn't saying much, but still!). Food is good here from my experience. Ordered a medium Hook and Ladder sup and I liked the mayo spread they put on it, and the sandwich toppings were tasty. The bread left some to be desired for me as I like my bread crispy with a bit of crunch, but if you like pillowy doughy subs, this is right for you. Service was meh for a mobile order. I was sitting inside waiting for my order to only realize later that they had called my name already previously but didn't call again. There's plenty of seating inside the restaurant. I went on a Tuesday evening and there were some weird people just hanging around the entrance of this restaurant smoking cigarettes and talking. Definitely sketch if you're going by yourself. I ordered lunch for my team at work from this particular location on Centerville Road in Herndon, but we forgot to pick up the receipt for the order. Fast forward Four days later, I needed the receipt to complete an expense report for the lunch, so I went back to the restaurant and asked them to get me a copy of the receipt. Their point-of-sale system would only go back 24 hours so they weren't able to recover the receipt information. Thankfully, Juliana came to the rescue and asked for my card information, transaction date and time, and my email address, and she called her supervisor right away and asked her if she can use her access to retrieve the receipt I'm looking for and email it to me. Next day, I received a copy of the receipt through email. No only the food was great but the service that Juliana provided was top notch. read more

I have no issue with the Firehouse restaurant itself. My wife & I have used it many times. But on 20 June 2024, I ordered via their app (as I have done previously). This time, I was double charged for my one order. I completed the online survey and reached out to Firehouse itself for reimbursement. They kept saying they would contact the restaurant manager who would contact me. I explained to them that (a) the restaurant was not the problem; it was the app; and (b) the manager is never in the store. I have reached out to them numerous times, but nothing is resolved. It should not be that difficult for Firehouse to reimburse me ~ $12. But it has now been 3 and a half weeks. I will never use their app again, and I may not return considering their awful customer service. read more

This place is horrible! I place a delivery on the website. I called After I received a email saying that it was a pick up, not an delivery like the website says that they do deliveries. False advertisement! I asked for a refund. The little girl that answered, the phone said to go online to hit the "CANCEL BUTTON". I asked for the manager or the assistant manager. Both were off today. I thought the weekends were the busiest times for restaurant. I thought they should at least have one authority leader there if not, both. Totally unacceptable! I will never eat there again in person or make a delivery Which I was told that they don't now, even though that the website says that they do. This level of incompetence is ridiculous. The website says that they deliver. I'm still amazed that this young lady that answered the phone, said to go on the website and hit the cancel button. This is what happens when teenagers won the restaurant and there's no supervision. And the person that I am in charge of that place please just give me my refund back. If you want to be generous, add additional $10 of my refund. Please don't write an apology response down by my comment, just give me my refund me my money on my credit card!!!! Update: I had to explain the supervisor/assistant supervisor that regardless, if it does say on the Google app which it does say, by the way, that you guys do deliver, then that is a moot point. Excelling at mediocrity! Firehouse Subs is a chain, so take that for what it's worth. The menu is pretty large, which is good, but can hold up the line while noobs stand there trying to decide what to get. The service here has always been solid, but I recommend calling in your order if you're going during meal times, as it takes ~5 minutes or so to make a sandwich, and a glut can ruin your lunch hour. I love - LOVE - having pickled peppers on my sandwiches, and FS' peppers are good, but last time they were smothering the sandwich to the point that they were all I could taste. The bottom line with this location is that there are a couple of local sandwich shops in the area that are much better; they're worth a few minutes' drive. read more

Quality: My wife and I both have tried several of the items on their menu and we have yet to be disappointed. I recommend the Sweet and Spicy Meatball sub; if you like brisket like I do (originally from Texas) then I'd recommend their brisket as well. It has a really good smoked taste! Personnel: Everyone we have encountered, both delivery and takeout, have been great. Very helpful and friendly which is, my opinion, becoming harder to find. Menu: If you can think it they probably have it! Enough said. Notes: This particular branch is easy to find and is centrally located. I like the fact that this business is focused on a cause and not simply the bottom line. Upon entering I was greeted which is uncommon and a plus. The cashier taking my order was very thorough and explained what was on the sandwich I ordered. The person making my sandwich (Casey) brought it to my table immediately after making it. The sandwich was delicious. I had the hero sub. The place is clean and so was the bathroom!! I would love to go to some of these stuck ups place of business and wait for their mistakes to bash them in the same manor, because we all make mistakes. I frequent this Firehouse amongst numerous others and I have had the occasional mistake made with my order too, but they have fixed it quickly with no questions asked and numerous apologies.
